Battery replacement was much easier then I thought! Cannot wait to get my 5C! If my battery is still good I will wait to replace it in a year or two! It easy - at least for me! Probably take a good 5 minutes!
when you disassemble the battery, you cut the black adhesive tab and removed the white stripe. don't you need to put the white strips back? or is it just not required?
As far as I know, it's not. I replaced my 5C's battery about a year ago, no adhesive, and absolutely no problem has emerged since. The phone's chooching as new.
Yep, the battery is typically rather snugly fit into the phone once put in, with or without adhesive - whatever you do, don't lose the battery and power ribbon cable cover bracket, or the connectors on the cables will keep popping out of their positions on the logic board otherwise.
I'm trying to re-close the phone, and it doesn't want to snap back together. Do I just push harder? It seems like the screen is shifted ever so slightly down, so the screw tabs don't slide behind the bottom edge of the case.
im replacing the whole housing on my 5c and im looking for that black strip that is under the motherboard..... does anyone know what tht is called or where i can buy it at?
Thank you iFixit! From probably the last person still using a 5C.

I am wondering what the square/gold plate is at 2:31? My 5c has one but I can't find where it goes...it just fell out?
Thanks for this. I'm having trouble reattaching the four clips at the top-right - they just won't click into place. Any tips? Thanks!
Thanks great video I learn more by watching than by reading
So it's not important to keep the battery adhesive?
