i have given sat exam and i can tell u that the level of exam is nothing as compared to what we learn . maths is vey easy but the real tough part is english . u need to focus more of english . one more tip is that u need to make a strong portfolio like all the extra curricular activities , and stuff like that.

Extra curricular includes achievements in various fields, good cgpa ,extraordinary skill set, recommendation letter are some of the primary requirements ....good SAT Scores ...subject SATs, ACT exams

Yes it is very much needed for me too...
Getting into Stanford(at an UG level especially) requires a great profile. Getting a big score in SAT is just a part. Unless you have won international level olympiads/chess or some other competitions you wont get an admit. AND YOU NEED A VERY VERY GOOD PROFILE.
A friend of mine got an admit to MIT
These were his achievements.
Class 10: 10 cgpa.
Class 12: 98%, State Topper
Jee Advance Rank: Top 100
Multiple Gold Medals won at International Physics Olympiad and Astronomy Olympiad
Gold medal winner at Asian Olympiad Physics
Junior Science Olympiad Gold Medalist(he got to go to Argentina to participate in this competition)
That's the scale of achievements you would need or atleast require to get close to it if you want an admit from MIT/Yale/Stanford.
There might be an odd outlier, but in most cases you need a very good profile.

No thats not the scale gor ivy league its only the scale for MIT.
Mit with some other universities are only Universities which consider International Olympiads, Jee advance, kvpy much value now these days if anyone has these achievements is most likely to do their bachelor's in physics (like here BSc in physics)
But universities like Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Princeton, NYC and other universities see Extracurricular activities like social service, your passion in computer science (if you want to pursue CS like if you won some hackathon or have YT channel on it or did some course , some interschool events , sports and all) basically they want character who are ready to serve the society and also willing go to any extent to pursue their passion (like bill gates who was a Harvard pass out, many esteemed sports men & women who have won Olympics medal.)
And lastly there no scale or ideal case that you will follow and get into these Universities it's lastly on luck if the admission officer like your profile so the best case is do according to your passion and diverse yourself in some other fields etc and keep your fingers crossed that get there or not.😅😅😅🤘🤘😊😊🤣🤣
My friend is studying theoretical Physics and astronomy. Getting cse is probably easier than getting Maths/Physics/chem/bio as you can showcase extra stuff in cse very easily compared to the others(like u can have multiple internships or work ex at a product firm or a very good github profile and hackathon experiences, which will boost your chances of getting a cse admit)

I applied to American Universities and I got acceptance To some of them Like Washington University. But I had received Scholarship Only on my tuition and my family can't afford living expenses in US. @@ASHUTOSHSINGH-bd7nf Getting into MIT is the hardest thing. Once you get there, they give need blind financial aid to poor students. If you are from middle class family, you don't have to worry about the finances as they would be taking care of it(if you were ever admitted)

Just to clarify, Stanford is not an Ivy league college, in fact it's one of those popular colleges which are mistakenly believed to be Ivy League. There's supposed to be a correction at 1:22. But nonetheless, great video!!
Stanford is more prestigious than the ivy league universities. It just happens to not be part of the ivy league athletic conference (that's all the ivy league is).

Depends, it's very hard tbh, getting into an Ivy League or any top 20 school is pretty hard and getting scholarship is very very hard, but there's something known as need blind, like universities like harvard,mit are need blind, this means that whether you do apply for scholarship or not, you will be considered for scholarship, but still lmao very hard to get it as colleges are so damn competitive, but yea if we do talk about aid, for few colleges, if your income is less than 65k usd per year, you will be given 100% scholarship
