Looking at this I think brings home how terrifying Stands are, they really are like people possessed by demons, they did a really good job with the stands in this, shame about the crappy actors.
I feel like they did a bad job with Star Platinum. And while the CGI does look good in some of the scenes, I imagined Star Platinum to look like Jotaro, but purple and dressed like an ancient warrior, not like he came out of a video game.
So... am I the only one who still questions why josuke looks like dio in the Manga and why crazydiamond looks like the world, epic cg I wanna see what golden experience in this style
Because the body that Dio have doesn't belong to him. It's Jonathan body he use and it effect all the Joestars bloodline. For example, Giorno hair was black since he was born but turned blond when he manifest a stand. Same like Josuke appearance and why his stand looks like the world.
iirc the reason the World and Crazy diamond look similar was because araki just really liked drawing the world, so Crazy Diamond was a way for him to keep drawing it even after p3
I just frickin’ love the idea to make the skin of the stands fabric like seen in Superhero movie suits. It makes the stand look fine and realistic while depicting the materialistic texture of stands. Only if they were able to may be make the moves little slower with sounds having more weight would’ve expressed CD’s strength better. Gotta say they nailed the CG and the music in the movie. Sucks other things didn’t work out

I enjoyed the movie way more than I thought it would. Not perfect, but they still added some nice details like a pink dark boy poster in Koichi’s room and Jouske’s mom mentioning an Italian restaurant she was going to. Personally one of my favorite anime to live action movies

I do think all the Stands look more impressive in animated form, with the Distinct exception of Bad Company. Getting a full 360 on that fight really hammers in how damaging a tiny army can be, rather then a bunch of tiny guys
The movie has a really good script and CGI effects, but the lackluster color theory for the backgrounds and the acting speak a very foreign tone, this movie deserved a lot better
It's a Japanese movie. Of course it sucks ass since the movie industry is irrelevant there today. It's also a live action movie. That's like a guaranteed recipe for a shitty movie.
Bad company fight looks insane. I would love if they dubbed it to english and made more of these, for the rest of part 4, and for more parts, even 1 and 2. Sadly i don't think it will happen, not for now probably.
in the anime, it is said that the more opaque a stand is the more powerful it is (we never saw this in the anime visually) until the live action came out
The special effects for this movie were on point, realistic yet somehow still cartoony, like how the stands look kinda artificial or plasticky, but I feel that suits the quirky look of Jojo's pretty well. Unfortunately a movie is not made only by cgi, and the casting, acting, and direction is... not the best...
