The GTO was a bit disappointing but they did improve it to hopefully improve sales, but Americans are too convinced of things on first blush, so they complain, tell others they are stupid for buying it, etc. When it's announced they are stopping production, everybody wants to throw GM under the bus. GM gives you another chance by giving you the Holden Commodore, but again it didn't sell in great numbers. So you' ve had your chance, same with the Focus ST and Fiesta ST. in the land of cheap gas, people want SUV's and Trucks, not sedans and sport compact cars.

They are kind of pricey but the option is there to get one

Sam Boofle Barra is the i6 engine, not the Falcon body it sits in. The FG Falcon come with a Supercharged Coyote and that went alright too. I have FG Falcon Barra Turbo as is turbo and the better handing of the lighter Barra is my preference.

In the car community, Australian’s are known for being the best in the word at burnouts. Period. There’s a reason they named a style of burnout (literally called the Australian Burnout) after them. Only they could master the combination of drifting while doing a straight line burnout at the exact same time. If you havent seen an Australian Burnout, look it up here on RUclips. GM has a straight 6 , 4.1L twin cam that was released in Brazil that sounds like the Barra and it makes four digit power on a few PSI. I keep asking myself why they never released those engines in the US market...
It is an emissions standard issue, certain engines that are fucking incredible and actually pollute less aren't allowed in the US because the EPA regulations would actually make them worse for the environment.
See the VW engine from a few years ago that the US wouldn't allow because it lacked a cat. It made close to 70 mpg on the highway and about 55 in the city, but a cat on it would drop those numbers significantly.
@@02chubs28 I feel sarcasm there but, this was whenever a civic was only getting 45 on the highway. A cat does make the exhaust "cleaner" but, the restriction and back flow is very harmful to the engines power. Take two stock Cobalts and delete the cat from one, that one will win in a race.
Protip Kyle regarding the GTO: The "Pontiac" GTO was actually better than our own HSV GTO. We had to adapt the bonnet vents, ECU and the fuel tank you guys used for the VZ model because you guys got more power than we did. Our 1st Gen GTO's had 245Kw (327hp), yours got 260Kw (347hp), our 2nd Gens got the US upgrades. 👍 But, we got an AWD version of the GTO called the Coupe4. 😎 NOW THAT'S WORTH MONEY!! 😈

We had several versions that used an AWD LS1 and some even used the Buick V6 but none of them sold well here and were discontinued after only a couple of years, so parts aren't easy to find for those particular models. The Adventera was the Wagon, The CrossX8 was the Ute and the Coupe4 was the GTO. I think you guys in America have all the SUV's and stuff you can use. 👍 Might have to Google and RUclips around to get all the details but this can be your starting point. 👍

Can’t have that happen especially with a little 2 L turbo charged engine keeping up with or beating The mustangs.

Exactly same here in Melbourne mate, i cant believe the highway patrol didnt rock up after the first skid! Any of those boys got caught they are looking at instant impoundment and mandatory 12 months loss of license! Huge risks taken and it was all to entertain Kyle and the 1320 subscribers making the skids even more impressive.

GM has a straight 6 , 4.1L twin cam that was released in Brazil that sounds like the Barra and it makes four digit power on a few PSI.
I keep asking myself why they never released those engines in the US market...
It would of likely took some sales interest away from the v8's I'd imagine, but who knows...
It is an emissions standard issue, certain engines that are fucking incredible and actually pollute less aren't allowed in the US because the EPA regulations would actually make them worse for the environment.
See the VW engine from a few years ago that the US wouldn't allow because it lacked a cat. It made close to 70 mpg on the highway and about 55 in the city, but a cat on it would drop those numbers significantly.

@@02chubs28 I feel sarcasm there but, this was whenever a civic was only getting 45 on the highway. A cat does make the exhaust "cleaner" but, the restriction and back flow is very harmful to the engines power. Take two stock Cobalts and delete the cat from one, that one will win in a race.

Protip Kyle regarding the GTO: The "Pontiac" GTO was actually better than our own HSV GTO. We had to adapt the bonnet vents, ECU and the fuel tank you guys used for the VZ model because you guys got more power than we did. Our 1st Gen GTO's had 245Kw (327hp), yours got 260Kw (347hp), our 2nd Gens got the US upgrades. 👍
But, we got an AWD version of the GTO called the Coupe4. 😎 NOW THAT'S WORTH MONEY!! 😈

We had several versions that used an AWD LS1 and some even used the Buick V6 but none of them sold well here and were discontinued after only a couple of years, so parts aren't easy to find for those particular models. The Adventera was the Wagon, The CrossX8 was the Ute and the Coupe4 was the GTO.
I think you guys in America have all the SUV's and stuff you can use. 👍 Might have to Google and RUclips around to get all the details but this can be your starting point. 👍
The AWD aren't actually worth that much lol, people don't really like them and the drivetrain is really weak

We also had the GTS coupe though which had a Callaway LS1 with 300kw which was even more then the updated Pontiac GTO in 2006.

That was awesome! The reason why we don’t get the really cool cars here in the states is the big three don’t want sales to drop from the Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, charger and the Challenger. I have a full bolt on mustang GT and A full bolt on focus ST and they quit making the focus ST apparently it was taking sales away from the mustang. Can’t have that happen especially with a little 2 L turbo charged engine keeping up with or beating The mustangs.
