3:10 I had the Gerber Dime so I grabbed its tweezers and tried sliding it in. It worked flawlessly! As if it's designed to be there. Part of the tweezers' handle will stick out a little but it's really nice having this slot. Thank you for the video!

Hey guys, don't forget to take the extra time to blue loctight any removed/replaced screws on your multiple. When you tighten it back up do it a little at a time testing your tool retention as you do so. Give it time to dry for a bit before opening and closing it alot, as it could ruin your set retention.

Adding a small ferro rod to the pocket clip is one of my favorite mods, you might alter the pocket clip a bit depending on the type of rod you have and how you choose to attach it, but the tool itself is unaltered and the rod always with you. The little notch at the top of the pocket clip is also a decent spot to keep some thread wrapped and always handy and both things can be done without altering the usability of the pocket clip itself. Great video!

I know it might not be quite the same but have you tried using a paperclip for the hook? I can imagine there are a lot of ways you can get a paperclip into a wave and if you need to sharpen a point onto it or change the shape you've got the pliers and metal file right there on the tool.

I replaced the serrated blade with Wingman scissors. Besides, I left a precision screwdriver and next to it I put a parcel opener sharpened on a small blade and a large philips from Wingman. In the middle, as a spacer, I gave a lanyard eye and in its place Victorinox tweezers, but it fits better with Gerber Dime. Yes, I have a clip, eyelet and tweezers.

One thing that can be done if you don't have non magnetic tweezers you can take the tweezers that you are going to use for this modification. What you can do is grab some electrical tape and wrap it around the tweezers. It won't make the tweezers or needle nose pliers non magnetic but it will cut down the strength of magnet making it easier to use.

Loving this series. Here are some ideas for items to stash in the Wave.
#1 - a weatherproof match. I’ve seen another RUclipsr put this in under the file/saw
#2 - some kind of fire starting element like a sliver of fatwood
#3 - a toothpick. I actually carry a 3D printed toothpick in my belt buckle but I bet one could be designed for some nook in the Wave.
#4 - a small safety pin. Maybe with the in-frame magnet?
#5 - a lock picking shim. I’ve seen lock picking lawyer make these out of aluminum cans for use with padlocks.

I always thought if they would inquourpit a small ratchet head in with the bit adapter you could store small 1/4 sockets as in 5/16- 1/2 in a pouch with the driver bits. And when I saw your small ratchet I thought that would be the perfect size of it had a normal 1/4 drive head. Perhaps you can find a 1/4 ratchet and cut and modify it to fit on the wave bit connector !!!!!

The problem I have with the wave in the surge it's the same thing those damn scissors the scissors and those multi-tools are the most useless I have ever seen if they make one without the damn scissors or take the scissors out and put something better in them cuz scissors are useless in a multi-tool if you're in the field and you work whatever you work at landscape construction I'm a landscaper those scissors ain't worth a s*** and to be honest the rebar and the super tool are great and I have a super tool 300 but I like the surge and what kept me from buying the surge was the crappy scissors so yeah I would change the scissors out and put something more useful in there anyways done with my rent love your video
