I have a Cuban tree frog in my yard, he disappears for a few days but always comes back to his favourite spot! He likes to stay in a small plastic flower pot I have outside shoved in a regular sized can good to collect water so my plant doesn't dry out on hot, dry days! The water collects in the can whenever it rains, so he likes making that his home for the moisture. Sometimes when I open my front door to go out he leaps out of the flower pot into my house so have to catch him to put him back out! He's been out there now for over a year. How they know to return to the same spot is beyond me.
