that's why I knock Minthara in act 1, I may not play with Halsin, Gale or Lae'zel but I like them around. Minthara's only purpose in act 3 is to be kidnapped, that way I don't feel bad if I fail the checks to avoid Orin killing her victim
If he is in your active party when Orin shows up, he won't get kidnapped. If Lae'zel, Halsin, and Gale are all in your active party when Orin shows up, the little kid Yeza will get kidnapped.
She probably doesn't care. Also, I think when Gale dies in the game, like dies in combat or something, he doesn't blow up. I think he needs to "release" it. I could be wrong though.
If Gale dies in game, his hologram says you have 3 days to revive him before he blows up. If you still haven't revived him after 3 sleeps, you get a cut scene of Gale's dead body exploding & then Game Over. So! Orin can kill Gale, and then dump Gale's body in Balder's Gate. 3 days later, boom! The end of Gortash & the city.

So, I suppose it is up to interpretation if Astarion wants things sexual after he kills Cazador. In the graveyard, he does say he wants to experience all of life and at the drow twins he consensually joins you. You could play it that Astarion stays Ace the rest of the game or that he wants to be with his partner only. I interpret it that he wants to be with his partner, hence the extra scenes. I think keeping him Ace or not are both valid though. At the end, I plan on making a video essay on why Astarion is important to me. From my tramatic past, it is important that he tries it again, for reasons I'll explain in that video. BUT I think it is equally important that he CAN remain Ace to give representation to the Ace community; that is important too.
Holy crap you literally have Gale wearing the same colors I have on him! 😂 I gave him something that resembles my transmog for my mage in WoW (I rp as a blue dragon so she wears light blues/cyan). He looks great!

Did you play BG1 & 2? Those were my favorite games before BG3! :) I must admit, I always sent off her husband alone with no armor to fight knolls in BG1 so I could use her and not him. Khalid was annoying.

Same with me. For this story, I think Gale is the rival to Astarion, so I sent him off. But for normal playthrough, it was lae'zel for me too l.

I think lae'zel is default. If Lae'zel is in your active party, then someone else will get kidnapped.

The dialogue is really in the game, but it is the romance party banter that is currently bugged. It is supposed to be fixed in patch 7.
