Gale was a pleasant surprise in game for me. Like Astarion, he hides a lot of vulnerability and pain behind theatrics and vanity, just expressed in a different way. His slow realization that he deserves better than what Mystra gave him is quite sweet.
Let me recap this: he basically left a "letter" for Tav for a rendevouz. The same kind of letter high schoolers left for their crush to discuss something important. Then the stargazing, him all philosophical, confessing his love and how he wishes to have more time to do this properly. Man, I'm such a dumb helpless romantic. This is the kind of connection I'd really like in real life.
when i first saw this scene i thought it was so weird, it shocked me so much i started laughing a bit. but then i couldn’t stop thinking about it, and kept rewatching it, and now i can’t help crying every time i see it. this is a man with his soul laid bare, convinced he’s going to die and he wants you to know how much he loves you. words aren’t enough to express it, ‘the old ways’ aren’t enough either. a singular projection of his soul isn’t enough to show tav how he feels. he needs tav to feel again and again how much he loves them. this really brings out the hopeless romantic in me. i love gale so much

It's definitely something I've come to appreciate more the more times I watch it, though I can't help but wonder how strange the motion-capture rigging was.
I literally bought the game FOR Astarion after seeing the viral Shorts and TikToks, and I was enthralled by the idea of him. The whole “dark, kinky, flirty mystery man who needs saving and fixing” concept was alluring… fake and performative, but alluring. However, in my confusion of playing this type of game for the first time, my character killed Astarion (i misread the prompt and didn’t realize Withers could bring him back lol) and ended up with Shadowheart… I didn’t even have Gale in my party. In my second playthrough, I gave Gale a chance in the beginning, and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with him. I’ve completed the game 5 or 6 times now (I got laid off lol) and I’ve romanced him all but once (my evil Durge went with ascended Astarion). I just can’t get over him!! It’s strange that I’m writing essays in the RUclips comment section about a fictional man, but that’s just it- this game is about FANTASY! Astarion and the way I described him earlier is the type of guy I’d probably get with IRL… hell, my very first boyfriend lied about having a fucking brain tumor lol… But GALE?!? Gale is the guy I fantasize about, the unrealistic, hopelessly-romantic vision of love I have in my head. Anyways, the point is, I naturally fell in love with Gale without even realizing how much he’d take a hold of me, and I’m so thankful for how beautifully Larian and Tim Downie portrayed this lovely man.
Had this scene with my male half-elf Tav, and I was soooo blown away. It's maybe not as sexual as some of the other companions' romance scenes, but it's so sensual, spiritual, and intimate at the same time. It really sealed Gale as by far my favorite companion.
i've only seen astarion's full romance & then this bit of gale's from YT, & i assure you, they gave gale fans a much lengthier scene than astarion fans got, & i'm actually extremely bitter about it 😢

I’ve triggered this scene in one of my playthrough, not as lover but as friend. The conversation was slightly different. Tav won't leave him alone there, like in romance version, but just stays with him to comfort. Upd: patch 3 changed alternative version of this scene. No matter what, Gale says "we are no close, you and i". Sir, excuse me, your approval over 90, what do you mean we are not close?!

I think what's beautiful about this sex scene, that people don't understand, is that it's much more intimate because it goes beyond the flesh. You connect with Gale with your mind and spirit, infinitely. Time is different in this plane of existence. Time dilation is a concept people can't even imagine. But if you could entertain the thought, it would be like having multiple organisms in varying ways of making love all simultaneously, forever or stopping time. It's just too good to comprehend. None of us will ever experience it. 😂 Which is why if given the option to in a fantasy game, I know what I'll choose!... I know what real sex is, I love it, but I already have the means to experience that in life lol. It is something we are all too familiar with lol. Side note: In addition, IF you wanted to romance Halsin, he probably wouldn't say he smells Gale's scent all over you. Because technically, you haven't gone to bed with him. Not in the flesh anyways. Halsin does say he smells him on you... but tbf... gale sounds like someone who would still sleep next to you after this. Especially thr way he looks at you after he kisses you. Still a very physically man for sure. The lead up just needed to be more emotional and spiritual

IF Gale’s romance was working correctly, he’d be one of the few companions to make a move on you only if you’d flirted with him first (during the Weave scene). And while it’s funny and vaguely alarming how he reacts after the sex scene if he gets a blasé response, I try to understand it in the context of a man who thought he needed to kill himself to earn his goddess’ forgiveness to give his life and death any meaning, but still decides to tell that person he loves them, and offers to bond with them body and soul.
@@Liz-xq2witrue. I mean, if you think about it, Tav basically spent the what he thought might be his last night with him. He created that whole illusion for Tav and he's terrified. Only to be told "yeah, it was fine" the next morning. That's such an asshole move I wouldn't have reacted with more grace either. Also you can see in that scene how insecure he is (same with that "I was only being myself, but apparently that wasn’t enough" talk). Usually he takes insults better than the other companions (e.g. if you take the mean options during the Elminster scene) but he's really hurt by the meaner choices in the romantic context. Ofc that blowing up line is still kinda messed up, but tbh, all companions are. And even non-Durge Tav probably is too
That one scene shocked me in so many ways, because it was actually an intimate scene. No fading screens, but a visualisation of true love at its finest.

Same. On my first playthrough in middle of act two and ofc went Astarian. Which is funnily enough my Tav as a character is more suited to Halsin being a druid that is slightly bad and mischievous but mostly good. But I'm def making a sorc or wiz second playthrough for Gale. Or a bard.
I stumbled into this and didn't realize I had already gotten far in someone else's romance. Did the romance thing with Gale and the next day the other person was real upset with me. Had to roll back a save file. Needless to say, I ended up stumbling into a lot of romance dialog with other characters and didn't realize I was romancing them. Lots of reloading saves.
I got that same feeling when everyone was trying to get in my pants at the tiefling party! I love that everyone finds me attractive but the fact I have to pick one adds a lot of pressure and I don't like being on the spot like that! You can tell I didn't grow up the hot one in high school
As someone who is asexual I'm really happy to have this scene bc it is mostly about the spiritual and emotional connection. It's so much more than just a regular sex scene and I can't thank the devs enough to include this aspect to Gales romance. ❤
This game is giving me therapy I didn’t think I needed. Making me realize why I’m drawn to these men, why I’m so torn, and making me realize while I know I’m a Demi… I’m not just that anymore. I’m a Demi with SA trauma that has made my existence so much more difficult to navigate for any once of trust & love. Weirdly enough, never put that together till playing. I’ve just made that as something in past to hide & forget for my mental health… but now… maybe it’s more a part of me than I realized. I get astarian almost too painfully well, & while Gale is what I seek, but don’t know how to approach, let alone handle, despite knowing I care & don’t want to lose them. It was hard for me to understand my own feelings, let alone date before that event, but am I now seeing aspects of myself in these characters. All of this after so much trauma in the last 5 years… I feel like I actually need to go to therapy for not even realizing these things and it took a rpg game to realize things about myself that I’m acting out in a character. Ugh… idk if I love or hate this. It’s definitely cathartic. Bravo to the writers, but dang it 🫠❤️🩹
I just triggered this last night. It was really beautiful. He felt the need to "wow" you knowing how all of your lives could end at any moment. I love this concept of going beyond the physical, but a complete joining of the mind and spirit.
I’m so glad you uploaded this. I just finished the game and got his proposal ending last night! 🥺 My husband and I played co-op and I romanced Gale while he romanced Lae’zel, and it was incredibly fun playing together! I’ve never seen anything like this in a video game nor did I realize such a game was even possible, as I’ve only played things like Mario and old Zelda games, etc before playing BG3, and I never fully understood my husband’s love for DND, (that has now changed!). I was so impressed and moved by this game, and Gale’s romance/storyline in particular, I never want to forget it! We hadn’t figured out the save gameplay function on the ps5 when I got this scene, and at that time I was actually torn between Gale and Astarion, but when he straight up said “I’m in love with you,” I never looked back 🥹 (Astarion was still my bestie though) Your Tav looks pretty close to mine, some of my dialogue with him was a little but different but this scene was so beautiful, I’m so happy I got to re-watch it again. I love him so much and am going to miss him terribly! 😭💔 Sorry for this extremely long comment but I’m just still really excited over how wonderful it was! Thank you 🙏🏻🥰

I think there are now a few videos showing the bed scene, if you’re curious! I think I prefer the astral scene, but the bed scene definitely is sweet in its own way, and is a good character moment.
My first time having this kind of interaction (didn't quite take it as far as this player did, but NOW I WANT TO) with Gale caught me so off-guard. I was BAWLING. Uncovering such a softer side to these companions is probably one of my favorite parts of this game. 🥺♥️
With Astarion, I picture myself as Tav. With Gale, I picture myself as the friend who's been shipping Tav and Gale for quite some time now. And I couldn't be more happy seeing these two get together. Gale is the best. Every play through I have I try different things, play with different party combinations and classes, romance someone else…. But I always end up with Gale. And not by force! 😅
Probably has to do with the differences in their personalities, I'm sure. Gale is very nerdy and esoteric, he has these big grand romantic gestures in the astral plane connecting two souls as one. He goes full depth and bredth of a romantic. Astarion is a wounded puppy that's been used as a sex-slave and only knows how to use,abuse and manipulate others, he isn't sentimental or romantic. He barely knows how to be himself without being a vampire spawn.. so yeah. I do appreciate the game gives you various options with all sorts of personalities and levels of emotionally maturity. Hell, just learning about the companions various traumas and how to help them, romantically or otherwise is fascinating in itself.
@@blacksesamecandies still, it would be nice if astarion fans would get an actual decent length scene at least when they get to the point later in the game when astarion & their entire relationship has changed to something completely real, & in that romance astarion is more romantic than almost every other companion imo
To me it had played during the last mid-boss rest (after Moonrise tower siege, before going down for the next phase of the final act2 fight). I've heard that some had it as early as getting to tower, and considering how many weird glitches unpatched version had, it's hard to say which was the "right" one. I think that it makes most sense if you get it right before the first possible encounter with the "heart of the absolute". It's beautiful (and almost heart-wrenching).
Does anyone know what happens if you choose “I want you, not the illusion.” ? I adore Gale but this space sec thing is kind of cheesy. Do they make more traditional love if you choose the other option? And would that affect the relationship? I don’t know what to choose when I get to this point
Agreed. It also feels like a rip off from Dragon Age Inquisition when Solas invades the Inquisitor's dreams and seduces her so to speak. In fact there a many characters and plot elements that feel lifted from Dragon Age, come to think of it. But I agree, the mating dance among the stars was cringey.
To answer the question: Yes, you make love with Gale on a conjured bed in the meadow under the stars. It doesn't have any negative affects and you have pretty much the same conversation the next day. I liked it though, since it leaned into my character loving Gale for him and not what magic he can do. And it's less cheesy.
I did this and got the scene in the description. It's a bed in the field and nothing is shown. The steamiest they've gotten after is a quick peck when Tav requests it. In fact, when Withers of all people stuck his non-existent nose in it, one of Tav's dialogue options was, based on Withers's dialogue, that "there were no bosoms involved." So I think they didn't consummate the relationship if you pick "the real you."
I would've been cool to watch the normal sex scene...my game fade to black even though I made sure i had the proper settings. So it is either bugged or Larian only wanted starry sex with Gale
my favourite way to do this scene is agree to see the illusion of his pretty tower in waterdeep, sit on the balcony with him and then you can say you would prefer the real him and you go back to reality and he conjures a bed, etc. you get the sweetness of him showing you his home and the less trippy more realistic love sequence :3
Why did I get this when I'm fully headed down the Astarion route, just had the hug and that whole talk, haven't had Gale in my team since level 3 since my character is a wizard already... he full on said he's in love with her, she stuck by his side so that he might have a happy moment and a listening ear during what he thinks may be his last night alive, had him snap out of the spell before something really sexual happened... *and now the game, Gale, and Astarion talk about this as if they did sleep together and as if the "choice between Astarion or Gale" had any weight??*
Game is glitched bad. I'm 3 runs in and I've had to break up with/reject every companion, every run. Sadly, Gale gets crapped on the most for this, like the others don't do the same :(
Damn it now I have to make the perfect Tav for Gale. I'm a habitual Astarion romancer and almost chose Halsin when he's available but stay faithful to the Vamp. Now after seeing this I feel like the forest scene with Astarion was lacking...who knew Gale had it in him? It's always the booky nerds!😂
The only thing I want, is a romance with Gale, but I didn´t get that :(. I got the weave scene at the party in act one and by beginning of act two, Gale told me, he wants me even in this cursed place. And than - nothing. For the whole of Act 2. Everytime I was in Camp, I talked to him, but nothing. And than, by beginning of Act 3, I had the dialog option: "There was something between us, but now it is gone and it´s to late". And I was like ?!?!? WHAT ?!?!? NO! Has anybody a solution? It this a bug? Do I need to start over or load a save? Help
It's so easy to miss the romance trigger with him - I had this happen too. At the end of Act 2, right after you first fight Ketheric Thorm on the rooftop but BEFORE you jump down the tower to go after him, you have to go to camp and end the day. Then Gale's mirror image will be there to trigger this scene. If you have multiple companion conversations queued up you may have to rest multiple times to get it to show up. Either way, if you don't do it here, you'll unfortunately miss it.
@@nsulkama i don't think that's true. i got this scene when camping after z'rell sent me on the errand to go find the thorm family tomb. there does seem to be a tight window, since for him it's one of his last nights alive and therefore you have to have progressed pretty far into the moonrise arc, but it's not THAT tight. most people wouldn't take a long rest between thorm fights due to the urgency of the situation, and also there is a rejuvenating pod that negates the need for it.

I have completet Act 2 and I hoped every Night as the Camp, that this Scene will come. But it didn't. The first romance in Act 1 has worked but how could I get this Scenes? Where is it comes? I must say I am very desperate

It's so earie but wholesome that romancing him echoes my relationship with my husband. Granted he's no mage but if our bond can be described in an image, it's this video. We are pro-poly but when we met, we didn't see anyone else but each other. We have a love that isn't capable of being understood in words, and it's something I wish all good people experienced.

Speaking my truth: him busting out the art of the night just like that and overselling it reeks of desperation - speaking from someone who has had to walk on eggshells around desperate men looking for any sign of invitation since I hit puberty If you like or even love Gale, you do you and live your truth! It's all just a game, just a story... But this hits different, when sublimated with his bitter jilted comments when turned down
that's why I chose the real you option over this one, it feels a lot more emotional. But it's also incredibyl sad and insightful of his character, I don't see how it's a bad show of desperation, more he's trying to make everything perfect for you because, it could very well be his last night. Gale is such a well written and well flawed character, he seems like this goody two shoes smart guy who is young, strong and wise. But he's also, like you said, desperate for approval and to make people happy. And it's hurt him every time. His attempt to retrieve the weave for Mystra landed him cursed with an explosive orb in his chest and the person he suffered this for is now commanding him to kill himself. That can absolutely create some... massive anxiety. He tried it again and tried to do something magnificent for you, and obviously, denying or being ignorant of it would set him off because the last time his attempts at doing something like this got him hurt in many ways.

Since puberty every male friend has eventually showed they were really just looking for a way to get in my pants, and plenty of times I have had to deal with the backlash when I tell them I don't feel that way about them. I have grown to dislike Gale quite a lot with his bitter comments when he doesn't get what he wants. I told Gale I didn't feel that way about him, but I watched the alternative scenes here on youtube, I found the star illusion sex cheesy, corny, just cringy, so glad I turned him down! 😂 I wish they had included a way to say something like "I want to be your friend, you battle buddy, not your lover".

He gets dicky when jilted when you are an asshole to him and he apologises immediately after, otherwise if you break up with him it's a mix of thankful he had the PC and just sad. I was romancing lae’zel for my 2nd play through and regretted not choosing Gale after I got this scene. Gale is a true romantic at heart.

I think what's beautiful about this sex scene, that people don't understand, is that it's much more intimate because it goes beyond the flesh. You connect with Gale with your mind and spirit, infinitely. Time is different in this plane of existence. Time dilation is a concept people can't even imagine. But if you could entertain the thought, it would be like having multiple organisms in varying ways of making love all simultaneously, forever or stopping time. It's just too good to comprehend. None of us will ever experience it. 😂 Which is why if given the option to in a fantasy game, I know what I'll choose!... I know what real sex is, I love it, but I already have the means to experience that in life lol. It is something we are all too familiar with lol.
Side note: In addition, IF you wanted to romance Halsin, he probably wouldn't say he smells Gale's scent all over you. Because technically, you haven't gone to bed with him. Not in the flesh anyways. IF Gale’s romance was working correctly, he’d be one of the few companions to make a move on you only if you’d flirted with him first (during the Weave scene). And while it’s funny and vaguely alarming how he reacts after the sex scene if he gets a blasé response, I try to understand it in the context of a man who thought he needed to kill himself to earn his goddess’ forgiveness to give his life and death any meaning, but still decides to tell that person he loves them, and offers to bond with them body and soul.
@@Liz-xq2witrue. I mean, if you think about it, Tav basically spent the what he thought might be his last night with him. He created that whole illusion for Tav and he's terrified. Only to be told "yeah, it was fine" the next morning. That's such an asshole move I wouldn't have reacted with more grace either. Also you can see in that scene how insecure he is (same with that "I was only being myself, but apparently that wasn’t enough" talk). Usually he takes insults better than the other companions (e.g. if you take the mean options during the Elminster scene) but he's really hurt by the meaner choices in the romantic context. Ofc that blowing up line is still kinda messed up, but tbh, all companions are. And even non-Durge Tav probably is too
Ahh… Gale was absolutely romantic and “the” scene was so beautiful and strangely calming and- GOD DAMN I FELL IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER CHARACTER!
That one scene shocked me in so many ways, because it was actually an intimate scene. No fading screens, but a visualisation of true love at its finest.

Same. On my first playthrough in middle of act two and ofc went Astarian. Which is funnily enough my Tav as a character is more suited to Halsin being a druid that is slightly bad and mischievous but mostly good. But I'm def making a sorc or wiz second playthrough for Gale. Or a bard.

I stumbled into this and didn't realize I had already gotten far in someone else's romance. Did the romance thing with Gale and the next day the other person was real upset with me. Had to roll back a save file. Needless to say, I ended up stumbling into a lot of romance dialog with other characters and didn't realize I was romancing them. Lots of reloading saves.

I got that same feeling when everyone was trying to get in my pants at the tiefling party! I love that everyone finds me attractive but the fact I have to pick one adds a lot of pressure and I don't like being on the spot like that! You can tell I didn't grow up the hot one in high school

This game is giving me therapy I didn’t think I needed.
Making me realize why I’m drawn to these men, why I’m so torn, and making me realize while I know I’m a Demi… I’m not just that anymore. I’m a Demi with SA trauma that has made my existence so much more difficult to navigate for any once of trust & love. Weirdly enough, never put that together till playing. I’ve just made that as something in past to hide & forget for my mental health… but now… maybe it’s more a part of me than I realized.
I get astarian almost too painfully well, & while Gale is what I seek, but don’t know how to approach, let alone handle, despite knowing I care & don’t want to lose them. It was hard for me to understand my own feelings, let alone date before that event, but am I now seeing aspects of myself in these characters.
All of this after so much trauma in the last 5 years… I feel like I actually need to go to therapy for not even realizing these things and it took a rpg game to realize things about myself that I’m acting out in a character.
Ugh… idk if I love or hate this. It’s definitely cathartic. Bravo to the writers, but dang it 🫠❤️🩹
I just triggered this last night. It was really beautiful. He felt the need to "wow" you knowing how all of your lives could end at any moment. I love this concept of going beyond the physical, but a complete joining of the mind and spirit.

I’m so glad you uploaded this. I just finished the game and got his proposal ending last night! 🥺 My husband and I played co-op and I romanced Gale while he romanced Lae’zel, and it was incredibly fun playing together! I’ve never seen anything like this in a video game nor did I realize such a game was even possible, as I’ve only played things like Mario and old Zelda games, etc before playing BG3, and I never fully understood my husband’s love for DND, (that has now changed!). I was so impressed and moved by this game, and Gale’s romance/storyline in particular, I never want to forget it! We hadn’t figured out the save gameplay function on the ps5 when I got this scene, and at that time I was actually torn between Gale and Astarion, but when he straight up said “I’m in love with you,” I never looked back 🥹 (Astarion was still my bestie though) Your Tav looks pretty close to mine, some of my dialogue with him was a little but different but this scene was so beautiful, I’m so happy I got to re-watch it again. I love him so much and am going to miss him terribly! 😭💔 Sorry for this extremely long comment but I’m just still really excited over how wonderful it was! Thank you 🙏🏻🥰

Probably has to do with the differences in their personalities, I'm sure. Gale is very nerdy and esoteric, he has these big grand romantic gestures in the astral plane connecting two souls as one. He goes full depth and bredth of a romantic.
Astarion is a wounded puppy that's been used as a sex-slave and only knows how to use,abuse and manipulate others, he isn't sentimental or romantic. He barely knows how to be himself without being a vampire spawn.. so yeah.
I do appreciate the game gives you various options with all sorts of personalities and levels of emotionally maturity. Hell, just learning about the companions various traumas and how to help them, romantically or otherwise is fascinating in itself.

To me it had played during the last mid-boss rest (after Moonrise tower siege, before going down for the next phase of the final act2 fight). I've heard that some had it as early as getting to tower, and considering how many weird glitches unpatched version had, it's hard to say which was the "right" one. I think that it makes most sense if you get it right before the first possible encounter with the "heart of the absolute". It's beautiful (and almost heart-wrenching).

Agreed. It also feels like a rip off from Dragon Age Inquisition when Solas invades the Inquisitor's dreams and seduces her so to speak. In fact there a many characters and plot elements that feel lifted from Dragon Age, come to think of it. But I agree, the mating dance among the stars was cringey.
To answer the question: Yes, you make love with Gale on a conjured bed in the meadow under the stars. It doesn't have any negative affects and you have pretty much the same conversation the next day. I liked it though, since it leaned into my character loving Gale for him and not what magic he can do. And it's less cheesy.
I did this and got the scene in the description. It's a bed in the field and nothing is shown. The steamiest they've gotten after is a quick peck when Tav requests it. In fact, when Withers of all people stuck his non-existent nose in it, one of Tav's dialogue options was, based on Withers's dialogue, that "there were no bosoms involved." So I think they didn't consummate the relationship if you pick "the real you."
I would've been cool to watch the normal sex scene...my game fade to black even though I made sure i had the proper settings. So it is either bugged or Larian only wanted starry sex with Gale
my favourite way to do this scene is agree to see the illusion of his pretty tower in waterdeep, sit on the balcony with him and then you can say you would prefer the real him and you go back to reality and he conjures a bed, etc.
you get the sweetness of him showing you his home and the less trippy more realistic love sequence :3

Why did I get this when I'm fully headed down the Astarion route, just had the hug and that whole talk, haven't had Gale in my team since level 3 since my character is a wizard already... he full on said he's in love with her, she stuck by his side so that he might have a happy moment and a listening ear during what he thinks may be his last night alive, had him snap out of the spell before something really sexual happened... *and now the game, Gale, and Astarion talk about this as if they did sleep together and as if the "choice between Astarion or Gale" had any weight??*
Game is glitched bad. I'm 3 runs in and I've had to break up with/reject every companion, every run. Sadly, Gale gets crapped on the most for this, like the others don't do the same :(
Damn it now I have to make the perfect Tav for Gale. I'm a habitual Astarion romancer and almost chose Halsin when he's available but stay faithful to the Vamp. Now after seeing this I feel like the forest scene with Astarion was lacking...who knew Gale had it in him? It's always the booky nerds!😂

The only thing I want, is a romance with Gale, but I didn´t get that :(. I got the weave scene at the party in act one and by beginning of act two, Gale told me, he wants me even in this cursed place. And than - nothing. For the whole of Act 2. Everytime I was in Camp, I talked to him, but nothing. And than, by beginning of Act 3, I had the dialog option: "There was something between us, but now it is gone and it´s to late". And I was like ?!?!? WHAT ?!?!? NO! Has anybody a solution? It this a bug? Do I need to start over or load a save? Help
It's so easy to miss the romance trigger with him - I had this happen too. At the end of Act 2, right after you first fight Ketheric Thorm on the rooftop but BEFORE you jump down the tower to go after him, you have to go to camp and end the day. Then Gale's mirror image will be there to trigger this scene. If you have multiple companion conversations queued up you may have to rest multiple times to get it to show up. Either way, if you don't do it here, you'll unfortunately miss it.
@@nsulkama i don't think that's true. i got this scene when camping after z'rell sent me on the errand to go find the thorm family tomb. there does seem to be a tight window, since for him it's one of his last nights alive and therefore you have to have progressed pretty far into the moonrise arc, but it's not THAT tight. most people wouldn't take a long rest between thorm fights due to the urgency of the situation, and also there is a rejuvenating pod that negates the need for it.

It's so earie but wholesome that romancing him echoes my relationship with my husband. Granted he's no mage but if our bond can be described in an image, it's this video. We are pro-poly but when we met, we didn't see anyone else but each other. We have a love that isn't capable of being understood in words, and it's something I wish all good people experienced.

Speaking my truth: him busting out the art of the night just like that and overselling it reeks of desperation - speaking from someone who has had to walk on eggshells around desperate men looking for any sign of invitation since I hit puberty
If you like or even love Gale, you do you and live your truth! It's all just a game, just a story... But this hits different, when sublimated with his bitter jilted comments when turned down
that's why I chose the real you option over this one, it feels a lot more emotional. But it's also incredibyl sad and insightful of his character, I don't see how it's a bad show of desperation, more he's trying to make everything perfect for you because, it could very well be his last night. Gale is such a well written and well flawed character, he seems like this goody two shoes smart guy who is young, strong and wise. But he's also, like you said, desperate for approval and to make people happy. And it's hurt him every time. His attempt to retrieve the weave for Mystra landed him cursed with an explosive orb in his chest and the person he suffered this for is now commanding him to kill himself. That can absolutely create some... massive anxiety. He tried it again and tried to do something magnificent for you, and obviously, denying or being ignorant of it would set him off because the last time his attempts at doing something like this got him hurt in many ways.

Since puberty every male friend has eventually showed they were really just looking for a way to get in my pants, and plenty of times I have had to deal with the backlash when I tell them I don't feel that way about them. I have grown to dislike Gale quite a lot with his bitter comments when he doesn't get what he wants. I told Gale I didn't feel that way about him, but I watched the alternative scenes here on youtube, I found the star illusion sex cheesy, corny, just cringy, so glad I turned him down! 😂 I wish they had included a way to say something like "I want to be your friend, you battle buddy, not your lover".
I mean you do you but you're absolutely projecting on him. It might be your truth but... it isn't the objective truth. He gets dicky when jilted when you are an asshole to him and he apologises immediately after, otherwise if you break up with him it's a mix of thankful he had the PC and just sad. Just don't be an ass, he won't be one back lol. He's as much of a bitch about cheating/breaking up as the other companions are.Hopefully I've cleared things up.
