Well done sir. 👍
This is something I've been doing for ages. Started in 1974, with a 22LR High Standard 5" bull barrel target pistol. Blew through a 500 rd brick of ammo just to shoot a beer can with a hit just under the can. And shoot again while it's rising, hit it direct to punch it again. Had about a 50% success rate. This was with a very accurate autoloader. However, with a single action revolver I was never able to do that stunt.
Today, I still keep trying with a 45 Colt, and consider it lucky just to hit the can beyond 20 feet. The so called "Golden Years" ain't all its cracked up to be.😒😄
Keep 'em going Tuco, I always enjoy your videos, and tell Little Buddy howdy for me.😁
Thanks for watching and the nice comment! More to come.
@@TUCOtheratt where do you get your holster I’m trying to find one for my 45colt

I don’t think any of your channel regulars would complain about your range safety. Keep setting a great example on firearm safety, and shooting! Love the video!
Thanks! Yes, range safety that is a priority. Thanks for noticing that!
I absolutely love this. This is the kind of content that I live for! Watching it, doing it, making it, I hear for it all! Great stuff, Tuco! As I said before, I’m trying this for myself! I wasn’t aware of the Hickok “can rolling”, but I’m sure invested now!
Glad you enjoy it! I learned after watching the video that the best can launches actually came from shooting under the can and a bit in front of it and the flying dirt launched the can up. Direct hit just put a hole in it.
@@TUCOtheratt I was going to ask that! For the best launch, do you hit the very bottom of the can or almost shoot underneath it? I guess I have my answer! Well done! As I said before, I’m stealing this idea! (With a credited source of course)
@@SaintAndrewTV Have fun.😃 If you're out in the boonies no worries but if your are shooting against a berm be aware of bullets bouncing over the berm. Yes shoot a bit under the can and a bit in front of it.
@@TUCOtheratt I appreciate the heads up! will do! Thank you!
Boy! Does this bring back memories. 😁
Back in the 70s, we used one-quart oil cans.. They had a metal top and bottom but the rest was cardboard, so they were lighter than the cans you are using.
We used to play this little game. You toss the can out about 20 feet. Then you wanted to “scared“ the can by hitting the ground as close as you could in front of the can. You got three shots and the one who got their can the furthest won the game. However, if you hit the can, you were disqualified.
I think your comment about the subconscious is very good. My father used to say, “Use your horse. He referred to his subconscious as his horse.
Shooting cans is like Shooting basketballs, you can't end on a miss. Love the videos. Keep up the great content.
Nice shootin empty Sapporo 13.5 oz Beer cans hold up really good for that 😁
First of all I was thinking "Learn some editing skills"...then the chickens intervened and I changed my mind. The more I watched the more I thought "Keep it as it is".
You're showing the realistic, natural flow of events and it's really engaging and not a gilded affectation.
Keep it up :)
New follower :) :)
Pretty darn good shootin! Reminds me of Clint and Lee, hat rolling!
I wish I had your site and gun too!!!
Bob Munden was the ultimate, and you're pretty darn good too!👍
Tuco you deliver example not only for shooting ... :) thanks for that too
Think you’re just going through the bigger can , yup. Right on Tuco great example of can rolling.
I think your next historical mystery person should be either Doc Holiday or John Wesley Harding. Or whoever , the wild bill was done wonderfully. Definitely looking forward to more Tuco videos.
Thanks for the nice comment my friend! People like you keep me motivated!
I've been out twice practicing hlp shooting twice since watching "How to ip shoot" I've been using 2 old propane bottles as targets. No good at it yet but I've put a lot of holes in them. I struggle on the first shot but can usually dial in enough to hit them. Once in a while I even hit right in the center but thats a fluke. Right? I'm in Nebraska. Its been too cold to practice much. I tried yesterday when it got up to 42 degrees with a 15 mph North wind. Laated about 20 minutes. Loved this episode.
Have you ever thought of trying out a quickdraw with a 7.5 in barrel on say an 1851 colt navy? Like Wild Bill or Clint Eastwood in High Plains Drifter. It'd be an interesting challenge if you haven't tried it, and it'd make for an excellent video.
That's a good idea and is on the list.😃
Nice shooting there Partner! That’s also a nice shirt you’re wearing too. Who’s the maker?
Gerçekten harika ingilizce bilmediğim için ne söylediğini anlayamıyorum ama izlemesi çok keyif veriyor umarım bende bir gün senin gibi olabilirim
Thanks. I was talking about shooting black powder ammo like in the old west.
Hey you even make canrolling an interesting exercise.
18th like & 3th comment.....
Tucco, Today I just meet on tube a short vid , about the " epoque mistakes" and unreal representing of the original time live habits.
Please, make Your own comments with videos about classical Western Moovies, couse the books are much more correct than the cinema....
With Respects, Central Balkans...❤
That's incredible shooting!!
Best part. You had great fun. Well I sure did 😂😂. 🤠
Thanks for stopping by once again. 😃
Stuff of legends.
love your saloon...
I love doing that myself!
Thanks TUCO. Good training.❤
Thanks for watching 😀
Would love to see you recreate Hickok’s version of this with a pair of 51’ Navies! Always a pleasure getting to watch your videos Tuco
Thanks 😊
Thats shooting, Pard.
Amazing content, thank you!
Thanks for watching and the nice comment!
Ive been a western fan all my life i have a 38 smith and wesson revolver custom grips i been wanting to learn this triple shot i dont have that kind of a hammer on it i love my gun tho its hard to find a wheel gun anymore i love your videos and even shared them
Thanks for the nice comment and for watching and sharing my videos!😃👍
Another Awesome Video 👍
Thanks man!
This man is absolutely amazing... Im bust your balls till you full fast draw like in rdr, (though I never played em' really). You never seize to amaze Master Gunfighter Tuco. Im glad you caught the hoppers on camera. The steel was insane. Two birds, one stone. Could you imagine if you went to shoot a man in the 1800's and it passed through or ricochet off thier rib and hit thier accomplis? People would hear or see it and call you a legend or in your case, add too.
I say full draw because I have similar draw and want to know if we (myself mainly) are doing okay. :we as in subs.
Thanks for watching and another kind comment my friend. Not sure what you mean by "full fast draw like in rdr"?
@@TUCOtherattprobably means just the draw we grew up watching in movies and on TV and not that limbo dancing they call fast drawing now lol😂
@@TUCOtheratt drawing a gun in full extension instead of fast drawing to the hip. Basically what you do when you have a semi.
@@TUCOtheratt I have some videos of me doing a "full draw".
Just curious, how many days a week do you shoot. How many hours in a week, and how many rounds do you go through in a week? As always, great video!
I used to practice an hour and day, about 70% dryfire vs live. Plus shooting a USPSA match 3 Saturdays a month. Now I just shoot when I make a video.
From Reading I know Hitchcock was a bad lad but I think if you was around in those times we wouldn't even know the name Hickok. Good Job Mr.
Ha Ha!
You were trying to aim on the last two shots which is probably why you missed.
Back in the very early 60s, there was no one around in rural Nebraska and we practiced hip shooting with rifles and handguns. Many times we would stand on bridges shooting at stuff floating in the river (remember this was over 6 decades ago). At long distance, it's easier to fine-tune the shooting. We got to where were could consistently shoot birds out of the air with both rifle (from the hip) and handgun (sort of aimed). Usually 25-75 yards. Hawks and owls were considered vermin back then and many were taken from the air shooting from the hip. I once had a small barn owl come swooping past from left to right at 20-25 yds. I mounted him and took to my 10th grade class for show and tell. A friend would dump mallards up to 75-80 yds on the wing with his S&W model 41, and a friend's father who carried his Win model 90 .22 every day trapping for 60 years would shoot barn swallows on the wing. As you said, you can't think about it, you just have to shoot.
”chickens..”
Walks off into the sunset...😂
Wow very expert nice very nice 🎉🎉
Thanks for the nice comment!
Kind of like a Jedi
Many this was a fun video to add h Tuco
Fortaleza-CE, 🇧🇷
@@HenriFZ Se você puder. Compre um Pietta Great Western 2.
I had to go and buy one of those realistic looking CO2 single actions because todays ammo prices
Nothing wrong with that.
Do you ever deer hunt with your single action revolver? If so, could you recommend a good caliber?
TUCO, would moving closer help the cans jump or roll more efficently? I would assume the round's fps would be greater and striking power would increase. Also, when Wild Bill performed this stunt, if the cans were struck more centered, or near the dirt possibly helping the cans to jump. Just a thought. Stay safe.
I realized after watching the video that a hit under the can is what launched them. A direct just left a hole.
I once read that trick shooting coins and cans in the air was done from a 45 but they used a shotgun type cartridge, so the spread of buckshot had more chance of catching coin or cans. Whether its true or not it sort of makes sense as l believe throwing a tiny coin in the air then drawing and plugging it would require super lightning reflexes and eyesight plus Co ordination.
That is what I shot for years n years,ky dad and I woud race on old knob radios to see which one could take the most off with out just smashing the radio 😂😂😂😂 fun
I want to start playing with this, are you shooting 45lc 44/40 or 38?
How far away are the cans?
How much for the peacemaker? I’d like to buy, but I can’t in Russia
I don't sell guns. But they cost about $600-$800 at the store.
😊😊😊😊😊
Which Pietta were you using?
It's a GW2. It has a lot of features of the "Alchimista" but is different also. The box just said Great Western 2.
@@TUCOtheratt thx I use the GW Ii Gunfighter Davidson Exclusive convertibles. I've been told that Davidson had the revolvers tuned their specifications. I live mine more than my Rugers.
I looked at blue bullets. I like the 200gr swc in 45-colt. Are they easy to crimp?
@@mikemuhlbach2951 I run Blue Bullets 45 SWC 200 grain almost exclusively (have some Blue bullet 230 grain ball also) they load and shoot very well no leading no problems/ crimping problems. I highly recommend Blue bullets
@TUCOtheratt do you have a favorite powder? Also do you reload 38special?
@@mikemuhlbach2951 "Trailboss" for SAAs. "Accurate A5" for 9mm semi autos. don't reload 38/357 yet
Tuco's cutom cheese graters. 😂
Fun but I usually use a 12 gauge auto!!
I’ll make my character dress like you in Rdr2
Have you tried shooting cans fanning?
Not fanning
I drew and shot a can once,first try. I didn't try again 😂
I need your hat sir.
You are about the baddest man on the planet with a quick draw, or instinct shooting ask little buddy when you shot the top of his head off, I don't think time could have caught that you're about the best.
Man that made no sence before I understood "can" was not a verbe...
Now that’s the right way to play kick the can!🤠🇺🇸
