The Steelers could have gone 2 different paths with their 51st pick. They could’ve gone with Center Zach Frazier and have a dominant offensive line, or they could’ve gone WR Adonai Mitchell and have a WR pair of George Pickens and Adonai Mitchell.
However, during the 2021 draft the Steelers were faced with the same decision in the 2nd round to draft either the 2nd best TE in the draft in Pat Freiermuth or center Creed Humphrey. Given they took Pat in 2021 who is their longterm TE and Creed went on to be an all-pro center, I’m glad they finally addressed the center position and got a longterm center in Zach Frazier as opposed to taking Adonai Mitchell.

I can only think of Two Teams who either have or potentially have a weaker receiver room than the Steelers right now: the Chargers & maybe the Panthers. The *Giants **_& Pats_* leap-frogged them. "Waah.but they got o-line help."
That o-line got _that QB room _*_to the playoffs!_* They weren't the problem! But not having anyone to throw to might put more pressure _ON_ it, no?

But if their pass rush doesn't get home, Lawrence, Stroud, Allen, Mahomes and Burrow (if they play those guys in the playoffs) and even Caleb and Goff will be picking apart that secondary. The only reason it can't be talked about as about the fifth best draft is because Ballard targeted CB and S way too late and picked special teamers and backups once he finally did go after it.

Biggest steal of the draft wasn’t even drafted at ALL and was picked up as a UDFA by the Carolina Panthers.. Jalen Coker.. This kid IS the next AB (minus doing insane stuff lol).. I’ll debate he’s the BEST route runner IN ALL WRs IN THE DRAFT, he LITERALLY had the highest vertical of the combine of ALL WRs, he almost ALWAYS catches with his hands instead of body, and tbh I don’t think I seen the kid lose a SINGLE 1 on 1 last year..

Again weak comp isn’t a good indicator and I’d say the BETTER indicator (something even Steve smith and other analysts acknowledge) is if they DOMINATE weak comp shows they are on the wrong level.. And again he led the NCAA in catching TDs for a WR and HALF of their schedule was OUTRIGHT D1 teams..
And he STILL dominated.. Watch what he does to the cornerbacks vs BC if you have time, dude literally had a route so smooth (even after they prepped against him as their ONLY threat prior to the game) the CB was running upfield off a shake but Jalen was running a sideline fade..
Intangibles and ability is all I rate, and ive personally NEVER said a UDFA even has a chance on a team let alone star power.. But we gotta understand the complaints of “weak comp” is what ALOT of people said about ALL TIME greats.. From Khalil Mack to Josh Allen to Wes Welker.. The thing in common they have with Jalen is how much they dominated their opponents and some plain unteachable talents..
Kids worst trait is a 4.5 runtime but again he almost ALWAYS catches with his hands at the highest point AND he had the highest vertical of WRs this draft..
Like I said on OG post.. Remember my comment.. But remember yours also.. We can comeback here at any point 💪🏾..
