Even if Payton doesnt make the playoffs, his job is safe. This team is in shambles, and cant keep changing coaches.
Spot on. Payton's safe as his 5 year, "100 million dollar" plan is working perfectly:
Step 1 - find a gullible owner and promise him the moon for 20 mil/y.
Step 2 - Foolproof Y1 through Y3:
A) play the inherited QB (Russ Wilson), lay all the blame at his feet.
B) Draft / develop my own young QB for the next 2 years.
Step 3 - Foolproof Y4 and Y5:
Option a) get all credit for success and ride it as long as I can.
Option b): OR lay blame at the GM's feet if things don't pan out, and pretend to rebuild in Y4 & Y5.

Payton is safe until next season at least.
No that flipper ruined my team
Actually, Denvers last winning season was 2016, when they went 9-7.
And finally got rid of Russell. As a steelers fan, I'm hoping for a decent record with captain inconsistency.
@@RayzeCruxis You're either going to barely be .500 or you're going to hit double digits and be in the middle of the playoff pack....No middle ground.
@@darkman80723 especially in this stacked division
@@RayzeCruxisyeah I can’t even say what the Steelers will look like. I feel like w Tomlin you’re guaranteed a 9-8 season at the least, but I can’t 100% say Russ is gonna make them a 11-12 win team
I feel for Brian Daboll. He was out into a position to lose his job by having them extend Jones and not give him any weapons other than Barkley. No one else would make Jones look as good as he did that year.
I don’t feel bad for him cause he signed off on the Jones move. He clearly still wants him to be the starting QB. Which is why I think he will not be there next year.
@@marcusdow5356 I’m not sure. He probably didn’t have much of a choice. He looked like he wanted to kill him on the sidelines. That’s the look of a coach who knows his job is on the line.
@@BigPat216 you are talking recency bias. After the 2022 season the giants could’ve let him go. They didn’t pick up his 5th year option the previous year. He helped the Giants make the playoffs and Daboll wanted them to resign him. He has been terrible since. They are now stuck with him due to the cap hit and injury concerns. Of course he was frustrated with Jones on the sideline, he has been a disaster waiting to happen. Daboll knows his job is on the line cause it is. The Giants fire coaches every year for the past decade. Terrible franchise.
Daboll is a good coach though and I think if they can just get a mediocre game manager then this team could surprise a lot of people. I mean this team had no business winning even 6 games last year and despite losing X and Saquon , they could be much better this season if they all play up to their potential. Idk if any1 else bothered watching Carolina the last 5 years but I have and Brian Burns is absolutely the real deal and y'all might have the best defensive line in the NFL by seasons end. How does the local fanbase feel about Jaylin Hiatt and Kayvon Thibodeux?? I know neither has quite lived up to their potential but they both have All-Pro potential, I just don't know why they haven't fully unleashed it yet
Ben DiNucci is absolutely elite
Yurrrr
Denver is in such a bad spot at 12 with no second round pick.
They'll be fine in a couple seasons
Trading into the 2nd is an option…
That’s y I feel like they going trade back not trade up
Denver should tank this year.
@@donaldjgumpofficial5754 They absolutely should. Grab best player available at 12 and keep building pieces. But they won't with Payton
Feels like there is a lot of pressure on Dallas too. They lost key players and honestly, they dont need to draft high but for multiple positions they will to hit on some good players.
this
Their big tent pole players are all due for contracts next season and they’ve done nothing to improve. I honestly don’t know what’ll happen if they flame out in the playoffs yet afain
As a fellow Vikings fan and long time fan of the channel I look forward to your takes on the Vikings over literally anybody that being said I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited yet so anxious for an upcoming Vikings season
idk why your gm would be in danger tbh. Sure after that first draft it was hectic but since then buddy has slid crazy on drafts, trades, and free agency.
3:13 Malik is built like all the other receivers. The Giants currently have minus Slayton. They need a big bodied receiver. I’m not saying he’s not talented. You could even tell me. He’s a little bit better than Rome, but the Giants seen a big receiver.
Great job and informative as always!
Thank you!
Giants coach/GM entering third year ... when they got the job, it was billed as a long term rebuild ... now they are in trouble? Come on.
That’s what I hate about these stuff especially how them overachieving was bad for them
The world will see how cold cousins really is this yr when he wins the nfc & the Vikings score 50 total points all season
Falcons?
Good stuff
Giants need Odunze if they don't move up for QB, Nabers' has too many character concerns and with NY's history with receivers I'd rather take Rome who seems like a more team-oriented guy than Nabers
What’s a character concern that Nabers has?
@@1123kse brandishing a gun
I think the Ravens deserve an honorable mention. The primary issue facing the Ravens down the line is depth, since the team lost a lot of pieces this offseason, and even worse, some of them joined division rivals (Patrick Queen to the Steelers, Geno Stone to the Bengals). If the Ravens cannot keep up in the arms race, this is a team that can go from first to worst, especially in the loaded AFC North.
The main holes that the Ravens need to fill are on the offensive line, secondary, and edge rushers. The Ravens lost 3 starting caliber linemen in free agency (Zeitler to the Lions, Moses and Simpson to the Jets). Stanley agreed to restructure his deal (and hopefully light a fire in him), but you need at least 5 guys to form an O-line, so I think the Ravens will take a lineman in the first round, since this is said to be a good class. On the secondary, Humphrey is not getting any younger, and the CB depth is thin outside Stephens and Maulet, so this is definitely an area to look into if we want to shut down guys like Ja'Marr Chase or George Pickens. As for pass rush, re-signing Van Noy helps, but I'm still waiting for Oweh and Ojabo to take the next step. It's pretty embarrassing that for a team known for its stinging defense, the Ravens lack a presence on the edge in the mold of Myles Garrett, TJ Watt, or Trey Hendrickson. The AFC North is only getting tougher, and the Ravens need to find diamonds in the rough, cause if the team wastes yet another of Lamar's prime years for contention, this is grounds for a pick slip to be served.
I think the Giants core is low key underrated. Wan’Dale looked pretty good last year for a guy coming off a torn ACL. Hyatt was disappointing but can definitely take a year two leap. Waller is Waller and Belinger was good until he broke his eyeball and then they brought in Waller.
i love the quick blue chip player analysis. seems accurate
Luv u 2 bro 😂❤
Drafting a corner at pick #6 gotta be good luck
Giants move to 4 to draft QB4 Vikings take Penix at 11. Broncos go Nix at 12. Raiders wait until round 2 or 3 to get Rattler.
Denver can trade down, and still get Bo
@@coryharder191 true… unless the bears are dumb and draft MHJ number 1 then Nix at number 9. The bears had 3 QBs visited, Williams, Maye, and Nix.
@@Selling-McCarthyismdawg that shit is so retarted u didn’t even have to say it….. they obviously not doing that 😑
Giants will be picking #1 overall next year if they take a QB top 6
@@coryharder191 Maybe. Can you risk it though? How many teams need a starting QB right now? Bears, Vikings, Broncos, Pats. Now, if someone with doubts in their current QB wants to wait 'til next year to get one, who is slated to be in next year's draft?
No one. If GMs look at _that,_ then suddenly the Jets & Giants may want or need to draft a QB. The Jets would be _stupid_ not to draft some insurance now. The Giants can win regular season games with almost anyone, but who wants to float in the middle of the pack forever?
Losing because you didn't draft some linesman you needed might get a GM fired, losing for not getting a QB when the need was glaring _WILL_ do that. Food for thought.
What’s wromg with Jarret?
I wanted JJ to be on the Vikings for most of his career but he’ll probably pull a Randy Moss because of the QB position
Denver would be wise to be patient with Peyton. He's a builder, and it took him a while to make New Orleans competitive.
Many teams who think all they need is a quarterback are deluded. Poor QB play is easy to see and ugly to watch, but most of the time, there are football fundamentals problems that are crippling them. For instance, the Jets got Rodgers, and he didn't last a whole series behind their shoddy o-line.
Shuffling head coaches and coordinators every couple of years only feeds the dysfunction.
It's hard to be patient and watch your team struggle, but it's often the wise path to becoming competitive.
if the chargers don’t draft a wr first round i’m done being a fan just for herbert lmao
Payton has a long term contract. His job is hardly on the line. LMFAO
As a saints fan payton is good enough to win your games look at them this season, he’s getting on now and has no time to stick around for a rebuild unless he plans on coaching into his 70s get the qb he wants and success will come off it Denver fans trust me, Vance Joseph is a good DC to and has some weapons with ps2 and young pass rushers just need little things after that. I would much rather have sean still as a saints fan then DA that’s all
The Broncos traded pics for Peyton, and if he's out by year two or three I'm gonna be livid because I would've rather taken a shitty coach off the coaching carousel then giving up on last year's draft.
The Texans are damn near prime and ready.
Colts should be included on the list too. While the rest of their AFCS division rivals have all made multiple moves to upgrade their rosters, Chris Ballard is running back essentially the same roster around Anthony Richardson, who he’s expecting to have a Superman season to cover up notable key flaws on the defensive side of the roster. He’s too scared to take big risks w/ having made just one big outside move in 8 years w/ the DeForest Buckner trade. He thinks the draft can fix everything but hasn’t once traded up for a blue chip talent. He should’ve been canned after the 2021 collapse and still continues to stay stubborn to a failing philosophy.
I think that Irsay is meddling behind the scenes for once though. Regardless, yes, it seems like they were afraid to make changes.
Do we know that AR5 has recovered from his injury?
Day 9 asking for a Texans analysis video, also nick caserio masterclass next week💯
Yo
IMO, the Panthers need a TE and center more than a WR.
I personally think the Giants should just draft either the best WR or O line prospect avilable Danniel Jones is (shockingly) NOT the answer but if you don't fix the offense it doesn't matter who you get at QB they could have MAhomes and they'd suck ass. Plus JJ Mccarthy strikes me as a QB whose likely going to flop because he was on a loaded Michigan team
Bears yep you absolutely HAVE To be right about Caleb
if Denver takes a QB in the first round (I think they do) they HAVE To be right on their selection
I personally think trading up for Mccarthy would be a mistake for reasons I mentioned above in Minnesota's case
Steve Smith was 100% right about Q. Johnson
Wtf was the point of the Sean trade
Denver needs to trade back to the end of the first pick up nix or penix whoever they like better and pick up a second and a third
If we don’t get Marvin Nabers or trade with Minnesota ima off myself
In my madden franchise
Giants took Micheal Penix
Cowboys future looking rough especially if they don’t hit.
The Broncos should just draft JJ maccarthy or Penix and then draft a QB in the late rounds like a Spencer Rattler or Joe Milton.
Why lol
I think there is like a 30% chance the chargers trade Herbert on draft day
That would be the dumbest move ever for the Chargers, but probably best for Herbert's career. They can send him to Seattle for a 7th rounder.
no trade clause so 0% chance
@@shwaylake you think Herbert wants to play for a team with no receivers that probably desperately wants to draft JJ McCarthy?
@@mr.irrelevent8956 “desperately wants to draft JJ Mccarthy” now that’s just stupid. $368million in deadcap for 3 years if he’s traded, no one is that dumb. Harbaugh hyping up his former QB doesn’t mean he wants to draft him, more likely he wants someone to move up to 4 so the Chargers can have the pick of the litter. Harbaugh has talked about Herbert being special talent back when he was in Michigan. WR class is deep and Herbert finally gets his first real head coach, he’s not going anywhere.
@@shwaylake my bad I forgot he signed an extension honestly.
Matthew 11:28-30
Broncos need a positive sign this year, say .500 or above. Sean Payton's 1st year was C or D grade. Payton and GM Paton treated Wilson as scapegoat. Well, Wilson did not perform to meet their expectation, but it was Paton who decided to invent on Wilson and gave up a lot of draft assets. Yet, he is still the GM.
If Broncos does not go to playoff again, how is Paton going to do? Will he apologize to everyone and quit, or find another scapegoat (Payton?) to keep his job?
the 2021 draft is the reason paton still has a job, unfortunately. and idk why you would say Payton is a c or d😂 he did a great job😂 that 🗑️ roster was the hottest team in the league at 1 point. fell short of the playoffs. and did it all with a terrible qb
How does a Maryland guy come to root for the Vikings?
Nothing on the saints as usual. This would have been a great topic for them.
Texans, lions rams…. And packers right?!
Saints only have 2 picks in the first 4 rounds and have many holes. They need to hit on both .Their track record in the first round is terrible.
There aren’t any good qb in the next draft. They need a qb now
Broncos picked up Zach Wilson, problem solved...😂
seahawks have crushed the last 2 drafts
hopefully George Paton puts together a nice draft class then gets fired right after🧡
Wait just a second. You don’t think Jaden Daniels is a blue chip talent? Did you think the same thing about Joe Burrow when he came out in 2020? Lol
i think if the steelers whiff mike tomlin could be removed
Coming from a steelers fan, it's possible. They're gonna focus around Russell for whatever reason and probably get him a reciever who can deal with his inconsistencies.
Sean is in a rebuild. Not going anywhere.

I really hope the Chargers don't eff this up.
Sean Payton have 4 more years to built da Denver broncos he not on da hot seat by any means next wtf is this 💯
I hope my Giants can make a good move. If it’s Nabers, I like it. But I’m a little iffy on every QB besides Caleb and Drake honestly.
I’m calling it Caleb Williams will cause hell for the bears. His character seems so fishy. Dudes a prima Donna

Maybe vikings pass on qb if they cant get one of the top 3 & roll with darnold next year if he's bad they get a top 5 pick if he's good then he's good . Vikings would be stupid to give up multiple 1sts to get Mccarthy he's a more athletic Mac Jones gotta be most overrated player in the draft. I'd reach on penix or nix before giving up all those assets for a guy who's like available at 11 & if not you can just take the better qb penix at 23 lol people really think a college game manager can be a Franchise qb 😂😂😂
And the packers didn’t kill the draft?
Not one of your better analytical efforts. I doubt Payton is in as much danger of losing his job as you seem to think. All indications I have seen-not a Broncos fan, so that is not too much-are that he still has a long leash. And for the Vikings, Jefferson has gone on the record saying that he is much less concerned about who is throwing to him than he is about getting paid what he is worth. So, the Vikings are only in danger of losing him if they are unwilling to pay him what he wants. And that would be the case regardless of who they start at quarterback.
Well of course Jefferson is gonna say that. He’s not gonna say “if we don’t get a good qb next season I’m leaving” plus who’s to say that another team with a better qb won’t pay more. That’s still getting paid what he’s worth with the bonus of a good qb
Spot on on both counts. Payton has a bulletproof 5-year plan well in place, and Justin Jefferson understands that his true objective is not the shiny trinket call SB, but his own personal bag.
BEN DINUCCI MENTIONED 🗣️🔥
Terrible take on KOC
3:25 J.J.'s left arm sleeves 9 turning into a 69 with the should number lol. Nice...
What happened to the gabba-ghoul tommy cutlets?
Sorry but the panthers are not talented they filled the Team with old people who didnt get a contract elsewhere 😂
Giants need to trade down with the broncos for the 12th pick and 1st or 2nd next year and ps2
Denver is going to do exactly what the Panthers did last year - delusionally put all their hopes on a rookie QB to save a bad team. The should sign a cheap veteran, maybe get Winston from the Browns, and sit their rookie for a year with plans to build for the future.
The Vikings have a better team overall, but they should do the same thing for at least the first half of the season.
A rookie QB rarely is the one piece a bad team needs and it's unrealistic to expect them to turn an entire franchise around: see the Browns since 1999.
The giants screwed up giving Jones that huge contract there stuck with him can't draft another quarter back
I feel that Jefferson is gone after this year and Addison, Hockinson and Darrisaw are all gone next year as well.
Unless they draft a JJ mccarthy
Dumbest Comment on here
Again still a dumb comment
watch the Giants reach for a QB
Is anyone else starting to get the feeling this is going to be one bust filled draft? Not as bad as 2021 but I'm getting vibes from so many of these guys after reading a lot of the scouting reports
Giants do not have a receiver problem. They have a QB problem. Bad Dimes contract is going to sink them again in 2024.
They have both
Daboll also has a huge personality problem.
How in the world is the “best case scenario for the giants” drafting a WR with a mid ass QB throwing him the ball? Wouldn’t the obvious best case scenario be trading up and getting either Maye or daniels? I just don’t get it, you football channels all know that DJ is ass, how in the world is drafting nabers (great WR but doesn’t matter) the best pick?
Unrelated to anything, but Maryland has a garbage-tier flag. It's a good thing you're not a flag RUclipsr, because your bias is blinding you HARD.
EVERY team can afford to fail... if NFL fans didn't WALK AWAY during the "take a knee" era then THEY WON'T

NYG need another BIG BODY. woulve been nice if Waller wasnt a mental case. Slayton and Waller plus another big body? Ohhh yea
I love how when tj hock was traded in division two yrs ago. He was like good to play for a winning team yet vikings was a fraud and now is behind lions
