You look fabulous! I’m a hairstylist and about 1/4 grey. I’m not ready to embrace it any time soon so I touch up my roots every 6-8 weeks. For anyone that colors regularly try Demi permanent or semi permanent color or color depositing conditioner. I highly recommend Age Beautiful hair color I use the permanent with 10 volume peroxide, also clairol grey solution semi permanent blends greys. I’m also going to try Overtone and Dphue color deposit conditioner in between regular coloring both had very high reviews and lasting results. I was using box color just at the root but overtime it was drying out my hair. I’ve heard most box dyes use 20 volume developer which is not needed if you are going darker so with the 10 volume I still get grey coverage without all the damage. I’m trying to grow out my hair after a big chop and my hair is feeling and looking better already. Also I use leave in conditioner and hair oil on my mid lengths and ends.
You are so pretty to me as a maturing woman. There's NOTHING wrong with aging gracefully and if it means for someone to color their hair or getting a cosmetic procedure...DO IT! You're still going to be your age; you just look like a more well rested version of yourself.
Sheri girl, you crack me up! Your thumbnail picture is HILARIOUS! But the glowup made you look like a beauty queen ❤. My hair is also wavy, frizzy and long. If I don't blow it dry and straighten it, I look like the Wicked Witch 😂. It's amazing what an hour can do for our looks. And for me, eyeshadow is the most fun makeup to put on.
LOL, my hubby and I were giggling at how crazy the thumbnail was. Especially since that's what I really look like 🤣 oh I feel ya on the hair. A good blowout makes a world of difference.
1:47 Lolol girl that’s me in the car blasting Andy Mineo 🤣 I love this video. I appreciate your attitude. I’m in my 40s, and a late in life mom with chronic illness. I’m exhausted almost all the time, and though I absolutely love beauty I do find myself sometimes feeling it’s a chore. But you gave me a good perspective check and some great inspiration 💖 thank you and God bless!
LOL I'm Coming in HOT! That's me toooooo! 🤣 I feel ya with the chronic illness. My darn neck got me medically discharged from the military. I received 60% disability but most people wouldn't know....chronic illnesses are often hidden. We suffer but others have NO idea. Self Care can for sure feel like a chore when dealing with chronic illness. I allow myself stay in bed and look like a troll some days. 🤪 But pushing through and getting ready can often make me feel sooooo much better. You got this!
WOW! What a difference, Holy Cow! So much fun to transform and love how you do this. You are so real and beautiful and so true and funny about how to put on lip gloss. I am tempted to get the blush etc.. I already bought the concealer from another video and really like this!
I’m 52 years old too. I have very thick hair but I do dye it as I have a lot of greys almost white. I do have very young skin as I’ve been avoiding the sun and using sunscreen every single day since I was 18 years old. I love your videos 😊
Great video. I was diagnosed in 2018 with Rosacea. The redness with my Rosacea flares makes me more self aware. For years I have tried to cover up the bumps and redness with makeup. People asking if I'm okay and why is my face so red. The Lord has been working on me with vanity and looking at what is on the inside. The past year I have let it go. I have stopped wearing foundation and just let my skin show. Just focusing on the blessing and important things in my life. Thanks for the love and compassion you always bring to us in your videos. Laura
This has to be the most true video ever. I tell my friends I’m either “Vogue Tammy” or “Good Housekeeping Tammy”…there is no in between, haha, and I am totally good with both. 🙌🏼
I think about how blessed I am to have hair at all and to have a more or less normal face, not beautiful but not bad enough to scare kids. When I feel ugly, I take extra vitamins, drink an extra bottle of water, and fix up my hair. That DRMTLGY all in one is the best stuff ever. Worth every cent. Robe curls were trending last year, but I never quit doing them. I hate heat appliances and robe curls look so great on hair that is already wavy. Especially since I have zero hair styling skills.

Omg! I LOVE this video!! I really needed it today! I just had surgery two days ago and am definitely feeling "fugly." Lol. I love the way you spoke to us and the message behind it. THANK YOU!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
5:31 Hey I’m a licensed stylist and I think you’re doing a fabulous job with that round brush. I agree on the Dyson. Now I do have one, but only because I had the same blow dryer for 10 years and when it died I knew I wanted a Dyson. As a professional I do get a little discount on it, and my husband that still barbers, was able to write it off. I do really like mine, but even for a pro there is a learning curve with it. And even still I don’t think it’s the best for everyone, and with a $$$ price tag, if it’s not easy to use people will be very unhappy. I kind of feel like it should have only been available to professionals, or like only sold in salon with a styling session as part of the purchase.
Oh thank you! My stylist does my hair MUCH BETTER than I ever can, but this definitely saves me soooo much money. Why does the Dyson dry out my hair so bad and why don't the Dyson curls last? I even set them with pins or rollers afterwards??? This inexpensive curling iron works so much better for me. The only attachment I like on the Dyson is the one to fix flyaways or hair sticking straight up. That one is pretty neat.
Do you like Bryson Gray? These were excellent points. I may have to cover my gray every two weeks and I may be losing more hair than I like when I wash it, but hey, I’m happy to still have hair at this point!
Check out color depositing conditioner or try Demi permanent color it’s less damaging. I’m 43, about 1/4 grey I color my roots every 6-8 weeks to lessen any damage and I use root touch up spray or powder in between. I have no plan to be embracing the greys til I’m much older so the best bet is use hair color that is less damaging. Check out Age beautiful hair color and clairol grey hair solutions. Also a lot of women gave good reviews for overtone and dphue both depositing color conditioner that blends greys. I’m going to alternate Demi permanent color with a color deposit conditioner because I’m trying to grow my hair out after a big chop.
@@MelModica You might also consider Surya Brasil-it’s a semi permanent and mostly all natural colorant and has no harsh chemicals. It has some henna but not enough that it would interfere with normal hair dye. It covers my grays really well, but I do have to use a clarifying shampoo the day before or it won’t work. I love that’s it’s not damaging since I color so often and my grays need to be rather babied since they’re so dry & frizzy (my before gray hair was naturally super silky and straight so this new frizzy, wavy, wiry gray hair that has to be styled to look good has taken some getting used to! 😂😂 If it helps anyone, I have embraced the waves/curls and sleep in sponge rollers. This gives me pretty curls in the morning (though not quite as smooth and nice as using an iron), and makes my hair look presentable. It saves me time and from having to use heat!
I love your message in this video--thank you! As someone who has cared for aging, ailing, failing family members, I learned to be grateful for the simplest things--like being able to get out of bed and go to the bathroom *by myself* and then being able to wipe my own down below afterwards. That certainly snaps me right out of grumbling over something as piddly as having to style my hair or put on makeup.
You are absolutely right! We have to remember how blessed we are. We care for my husband's 92 year old mother who is in that same situation after breaking 2 legs and now having a stroke and the bathroom situation is so relatable. It also encourages me to exercise and always be able to get up off the floor...simple things that would be horrible to not be able to do. Thanks so much for sharing that. 💗
TRY USING ORGANIC COLD PRESS ASTER OIL IN A GLASS BOTTLE FOR A FACE LIFT !!... AND DRY HAIR OLDIE BUT SOOOO GREAT IS VO5 ,YES VO5 CREAM IN THE BLUE AN GOLD TUBE YOUR HAIR WILL LOOK AN FEEL A MAZING AND SHINEY !!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
That picture in the mirror was me lol just like me and how I felt every month. My hair is white white. So....I lifted the color some and toned it to grey - its a work in progress but looking good. I'm 58.
I love watching your videos... A couple of videos back you mentioned the Monday Repair shampoo and conditioner. I ended up buying it. I love it, makes my hair so soft. I was wondering if you have any suggestions on a leave-in spray that detangles hair. And, a hair serum for frizz and hair ends. Your hair looks so beautiful all the time
Thank you so much! I’m glad you love the shampoo and conditioner! I don't have a favorite leave in but I just keep testing different ones. My favorite for frizz on the ends is the Olaplex leave in oil...just 2 or 3 drops. I don't like their shampoo/conditioner but their hair oil is my all time fave.
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri I agree, the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner I didn't like either and I did try different ones also. Not a fan, but I'll try the oil... Thank you
Hey Sheri have you ever done heartless waves/ curls/smoothing? I never blow dry my hair or use heat of any kind and my hair is in great condition! Mine is super long, wavy/ curly, thick but fine strands and I color the roots every 4 weeks. I used to battle my hair and fight the waves/ frizz and I’ve determined it was all heat damage. I hardly have to use any product when wet and it’s shiny and no frizz. Of course it doesn’t look as good as a blow-out but it gets me by when I go somewhere! Keep doing your wonderful videos!
Love your videos! I get the hair thing… if I don’t attack it while it’s damp and tame frizz…. I end up taking a trusted jaw clip…. Ba k it goes! I love makeup too
Yes, I'm one that would love to stop my hair falling out. It's awful! My hair was fine and thin to start with, but I'm scared I'm seeing so much scalp.
Hi Sherri I look different in the morning when I wake up😂 to how I look leaving the house😂 - it's just reality😂. I'm grateful to be old enough to worry about wrinkles (many years working with cancer patients of all ages whilst nursing), but I do like to look like a more polished version of myself when facing the world. I'm disabled so it's something I can still do for myself and that is precious. Bowel issues caused severe malabsorption and I lost two thirds of my once high density thick/coarse/curly hair, but thankfully it's growing back in fairly well. I stopped colouring it a couple of years ago and my once medium ashy blonde hair has pure white threads (skipped grey straight to white). They look like highlights 😂and I am fine with them. I tint my brows and lashes as they're very light otherwise and look invisible without tint or coloured gel/mascara. I do my own facials and nails etc, but get my brows threaded professionally. Skincare has been a passion since my early teens due to eczema and rosacea appeared during perimenopause. I am very gentle with my skin accordingly. It's insanely dry and the dermatologist said it's due to hormonal issues, so I slather on products to alleviate that. I want to look like me and it takes a little more work now than before, but I still enjoy the process and the transformation 😂. Best wishes x
Thank you so so much for sharing this. It is so helpful especially for others dealing with the same things to read comments like this. We are all in this together. I wish my grays looked like highlights heehee. Looks like a skunk streak on me 🤪 Baseball hats are my best friend. LOL
Always great to see you. I feel like the before this morning. I enjoy the hair color and the shampoo/conditioner provided is so moisturizing. You look beautiful.
I bet we all feel like this often.....just not many will share this reality on social media. LOL I scared myself filming this heehee! But I think it helps others to see we are all in this together. 💖 And yes I just LOVE that freshly clean and moisturized hair feeling.
Used to have thick, dark hair. Now it's super thin, so I'm afraid to color it. Used to have pretty skin, now it's spotted and uneven but dry under my eyes, which have dark purple circles. Used to be a size 4. Now I'm a size 18. I have to wear a CPAP machine, too. I haven't felt pretty since it was in my 30s. I pretty much gave up 5 years ago. Only wear makeup to church or out to dinner.
Sherri, have you tried the new matte drmtlgy sunscreen that came out several months ago? If so how was it? I'm 55 and more dry skin. I thought about ordering it this time. I don't know why. ... Probably would not be a good idea, thanks
Hi there! Yes I have. I don't like it. I didn't feel it was matte at all, just a tad less glowy than this one I love and not moisturizing. But this newer matte one also feels a bit heavy on my skin. Some people say they really like it, but for me, it was a nope. You "may" like it but for my skin, nothing like this original one. 🤗
Hi Sheri! I’ve been following you on RUclips for years and love your content. Quick question: I’d like to buy my 23-year-old daughter a makeup brush set. Can you recommend a brand or set that’s budget-friendly but still great quality? I believe you’ve mentioned (I think) Elf and Wet n Wild brushes in past videos. Thanks so much - I really appreciate your feedback!
Hi there! for quality brushes, this set is 30% OFF right now go.shopmy.us/p-10225415 and for more affordable but still nice quality, here are a few different sets I really like amzn.to/3JL26kY Hope that helps 🤗
Which one? CB has 3 different eye products. They all do different things but for softening my under eye wrinkles, I LOVE this oil plus its super affordable. Makes my concealer look really pretty. 🤗
Some really good Christian rap is by Mary Mary , 1) Shackles 2) God in me . Cece Winans , 1) Pray . Forrest Frank, 1) Good Day. J.Moss 1) Gods got it. And of course everything by Toby Mac. 💜
You have a great attitude. Very practical advice! I would never have guessed you listened to Christian rap - there's a lot more to you than we thought 🤣 FYI: A great video to see is Nikki La Rose's "My DRUGSTORE Holy Grails!" She's a very good makeup artist.
I stopped coloring my hair a few years ago and started using purple shampoo bars , take vitamins with Biotin, and using rosemary oil on my scalp after I shampoo and I only wash my hair twice or once a week. I barely loose any hair in the shower anymore. I also never use a hair dryer or a a curling iron or flat iron. My hair has never been healthier.
Lol, U are hilarious! We don’t need Netflix for entertainment, we have Sheri!😅 Thank u for your tips and tricks and laughs! Hope u are having a great weekend!😊
Please, please, please help me identify a balm or hydrating stick you recommended recently in one of your wonderful videos. You used it to swipe under your eyes after completing your make-up. I’ve been searching your videos for several days and have failed to find it. If anyone remembers, please let me know. Thanks, Beverly

Hey Shari, I needed this pep talk and to remember my mana blessings. God bless you and yours. Lynne from Tx.
I'm so glad. God Bless you too!
Omg! I LOVE this video!! I really needed it today! I just had surgery two days ago and am definitely feeling "fugly." Lol. I love the way you spoke to us and the message behind it. THANK YOU!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You are so right, gratitude and reality are our best friends! I am mystified about the Dyson hype, isnt dry hair, just dry hair?
Thanks for the tips! I, too, hated the Dyson hairdryer, but love the Airstraight. The long barrel brush is great to know!
Every 2-3 weeks is how often I have to color my roots too!! 😆 I’m mid 40s, but I have a LOT of gray. Oddly, my skin looks young for my age. 🤷🏻♀️
Yes, I follow him on Instagram. Exactly, gotta be thankful for having all this hair. 💕
@@MelModica
You might also consider Surya Brasil-it’s a semi permanent and mostly all natural colorant and has no harsh chemicals.
If it helps anyone, I have embraced the waves/curls and sleep in sponge rollers. This gives me pretty curls in the morning (though not quite as smooth and nice as using an iron), and makes my hair look presentable. It saves me time and from having to use heat!
@ I buy the tubes of hair color and developer from my hairstylist and only cover my grey, not the rest of my hair.
Great tips and love your philosophy. 💟
Thank you bunches! 💕
This was great. Thanks for the tips
Aw, thanks for this video, Sherry. It does feel good to do little things for ourselves. You are beautiful 💕
That picture in the mirror was me lol just like me and how I felt every month. My hair is white white. So....I lifted the color some and toned it to grey - its a work in progress but looking good. I'm 58.
I bet you look fantastic! 💖
I agree with you wholeheartedly! Taking the time to invest in your skin care and makeup every day is fun, relaxing, and boosts one’s self-esteem!
Thank you
Thanks for sharing.
I'm so grateful you're here !
Just love you sweet lady! Thank you for all you share and have a wonderful Thanksgiving🙏❤️🙏
You're so sweet! Happy Thanksgiving to you too! ❤️
You are beautiful inside and out!❤
Those cheekbones though😍
😊 thank you. These cheeks just keep growing and growing...along with my stomach heehee! Hello menopause! 🤪
Thank you for such a wonderful video.Sheri❤
Yes! What you said!!!! I've watched you forever! You are awesome! So glad God loves us ... He made us!!
Oh I'm so sorry, I know that's got to be so tough. 💜
Get blood work done to check for vitamin deficiency or thyroid issues.
LOL
This is so cute, And real. Thank you for sharing.
Your are so right … thank you the advice! We are blessed to be able to take care of ourselves ❤
We sure are 💗
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing this video
God bless.
Yes. We all needed this today! 😊❤😊❤
Love this!!!
So glad you enjoyed this 💕
Thankful for the privilege to age❤
Amen to that! 💕
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri 😍
Used to have thick, dark hair. Now it's super thin, so I'm afraid to color it. Used to have pretty skin, now it's spotted and uneven but dry under my eyes, which have dark purple circles. Used to be a size 4. Now I'm a size 18. I have to wear a CPAP machine, too. I haven't felt pretty since it was in my 30s. I pretty much gave up 5 years ago. Only wear makeup to church or out to dinner.
Omg I needed this!
Hi wonderful vlog , thanks so much for this video ❤😊 xx
Thank you for watching 💜
Thank you this video was a pick me up!
Girl this video was tailor made for me😁! Thanks, I needed it!
Right? We all have those days! Glad it was helpful 💜
I actually like Eco Tools and Real Techniques, also Sephora has some good sets!
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Thank you so much, Sheri. This is a huge help!
@@lorihannah5499 Thank you so much!

Thank you!!!
Amen Sis! I thank God I get to!🙏🏾
Right! We have to celebrate the good days and be thankful always, even when we don't "feel" like it!
@ Amen
Do you like the oil better than the city beauty eye serum?
Which one? CB has 3 different eye products. They all do different things but for softening my under eye wrinkles, I LOVE this oil plus its super affordable. Makes my concealer look really pretty. 🤗
@ firming serum
Some really good Christian rap is by Mary Mary , 1) Shackles 2) God in me . Cece Winans , 1) Pray . Forrest Frank, 1) Good Day. J.Moss 1) Gods got it. And of course everything by Toby Mac. 💜
You have a great attitude. Very practical advice! I would never have guessed you listened to Christian rap - there's a lot more to you than we thought 🤣 FYI: A great video to see is Nikki La Rose's "My DRUGSTORE Holy Grails!" She's a very good makeup artist.
Great video, love it keeping it real!
Thank you! We're all in this together 💜
You are beautiful and lovely! Always enjoy your videos!!😊
What is the oil you use under your eyes?
I am dealing with hair loss. It's awful, and nothing has helped. I pay more attention to my make up to help me feel a little better.
Aging is living!
Amen to that!
Just turned 50! Thank you💜
Perfect video!!!❤️
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! 💖
Same here, I didn’t like the Dyson at all and I resold it 🤷🏻♀️
Every time I use mine, my hair is super dried out. And the curls never last with the Dyson. 💩
You are so sweet.. thank you for this.❤
I stopped coloring my hair a few years ago and started using purple shampoo bars , take vitamins with Biotin, and using rosemary oil on my scalp after I shampoo and I only wash my hair twice or once a week. I barely loose any hair in the shower anymore. I also never use a hair dryer or a a curling iron or flat iron. My hair has never been healthier.
LOOOOOVE H OW REEEAAAL you are Sherry!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰greatvideo
You look beautiful 💜
Lol, U are hilarious! We don’t need Netflix for entertainment, we have Sheri!😅 Thank u for your tips and tricks and laughs! Hope u are having a great weekend!😊

Please, please, please help me identify a balm or hydrating stick you recommended recently in one of your wonderful videos. You used it to swipe under your eyes after completing your make-up. I’ve been searching your videos for several days and have failed to find it. If anyone remembers, please let me know. Thanks, Beverly
Here ya go go.shopmy.us/p-8979106 they're on a huge sale right now too 💗
Was that the wavytalk blowdryer? I think your list shows 2 blowdryers.
Wavy talk is a really nice affordable one but I like this one better amzn.to/4eLqezM (I think it's on sale right now too)
Yikes, round brushes always get stuck in my hair 😂😂😂

Are you still living on a ship?
You have beautiful white grey - why not go blonde so the grow out is less noticeable
I prefer my natural color of brown...well I suppose gray is now my natural LOL but I've tried blonde and it looks pretty bad on me. Washes me out.
