- In a few short weeks, thousands of families will pack the beaches down the shore. But if you're headed to North Wildwood, tents and cabanas may no longer be allowed. City council is looking to ban them this summer.
New Jersey reporter Ryan Hughes has more on the reason why and how the ban will be enforced.
The city said they issued the proposal because there is not enough space on the beach due to erosion.
To create a more enjoyable experience for beachgoers, the city would allow circular umbrellas that are a maximum of 8 feet in diameter and 7 feet 6 inches in height, and baby tents that are 36 inches in height, width, and length.

Replenish N. Wildwood's beach
If you let people crowd closer than 10-x-10-tents you'll just be a super-spreader-scene; peoples' canopies give narcissists a clearer-boundary to disallow them from crowding uncontacted-individuals, preventing cross-contamination of others' vacation-space: allow the tents and prevent the spreads.
should of taken care of this problem years ago. now we vacationers have to suffer. not right we come down here once a year and we can't relax right on the beach
