Twilight: Boring teenage girl in a “tag a war” with stalking Vampires and Werewolves. Twilight Gender Bent: Shy anime like boy feeling uncomfortable with tsundere/Yandere bad boy women wanting him.
@Rpatz Fan She's comparing them because 50 Shades was originally a Twilight fanfiction. So EL James published Grey (50 Shades of Grey from the male character's perspective) when Stephenie Meyer was planning to publish Midnight Sun (the equivalent for Twilight).
I dunno why she’d do a genderbent version for the 10th anniversary when she could’ve done a “where are they now” kinda thing, just a short story exploring the mundanely sweet aspects of married life for Bella and Edward, and maybe following up on Jacob’s baby obsession and seeing what the hell happens with that.
"Isabella becomes Beaufort" Okay, look me _dead in the eyes_ and tell me Stephanie Meyers wasn't thinking about Phineas and Ferb when she pulled that move. You can't.
Have you heard of the Undertale fanfics? The main ones are various combinations of: Under, Fell, Swap and Tale, just assemble those by pairs in any order and you get a different perspective! (Oh and there's more from where those came from)
@@Sputterbug This comment is even more funny when you remember E.L. James _literally did_ monetize Twilight fanfic with 50 Shades. I flippin love the internet.
I've got the feeling that Kristin Stewart would have preferred Edyth over Edward...especially if she was played by Kiera Knightly, who would have been perfect for the part.
"Jessamine" is a terrible name for a Civil War era Texan - it's a mainly English variation of the name "Jasmine". I'm pretty sure Meyer only picked the name because she read Cassandra Clare's Infernal Devices trilogy and lifted the name of one of the supporting characters because she thought it was pretty. Infernal Devices is set in Victorian London btw.
I have a subtle bisexual love triangle in my book tbh, the main character does not end up with any of her possible partners and travels the world with all her friends (alongside the two she was in a triangle with) in the epilogue.
I think that Julie Black is not even a candidate for Beaufort's affection in this one. You know, given how Bella knew from the beggining that Edward has Vampire Bae and that Jacob only developed feelings for her in New Moon, the story would have been wildly different if we were to include the love triangle in this one.
7:55 I literally said out loud "Why not have him smell like Axe? Every dude smelled like Axe in high school." Seriously, adults writing kids is *so bad*
It makes sense to me because he hates his full name “Beaufort” and even comments how old and outdated it is bc it was his grandfather’s name or smth like that.
Hear me out! In this gender bended version there is: - No stupid love triangle - No teenage pregnancy - No marriage at 18 - No strange magical baby - No Bella whining for 3 books to make her a vampire - No ideal ending without consequences for main character So yeah, it's not great, but Life and Death is hundred times better than the whole Twilight series in my opinion.
Well since Beau is male there couldn't be any half vampire babies in a Breaking Dawn Reimagined unless as a vampire he found some human girl he liked (unlikely) or she raped him (also unlikely) so ending Life and Death with Beau being a vampire is actually the best decision and way to say, "No more books in this series". This last half of the story could have been a second book like Amanda said. It would deal with the fallout of being a vampire and how Beau had to manage his human relations--things that Breaking Dawn had to cover. And more wolves! Do we see the tribes and the wolf pack in this story? (I haven't read it so I have no idea.)
- Funny names - Rushed ending - No wolve-vampire-alliance - No revelation why Edythe can't read Beau's mind - Not a book about Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett, Carlisle or Esme That'll make it even.
I honestly respect her just a bit for managing to literally get her fanbase to buy the exact same book with minor changes. We support a money making queen.
"Jessamine seems like something a musician would write a song about when they are trying to personify their addiction to ketamine into a lover." Well, I laughed out LOUD.
I'm new to this channel. Recommeded by RUclips. Actually there is another author who named her character "Jessamine Lovelace", a book by Cassandra Clare called Clockwork Angel.
Honestly prefer the concept of Life and Death over the concept of Twilight. Give me a petite goth vampire gal who dates a self-conscious nerdy awkward boy. Yes.
Basically the plot of what happens in many harem anime. Cute nerdy guy. Every monster girl wants him, he what's the most normal looking one who is in fact a vampire.
Who else is waiting for the black version of Twilight?!?! And the gay version, the ancient egyptian version, the caveman version, the alien version and the cosmic horror version? Edit: this comment got more attention than I did for most of my life lol
Up until 10:30 I imagined Edythe as this tall, muscular just absolutely yolked gal and Beau as like lanky and awkward and ...I think I like my version better
I feel like an opportunity was missed when Stephanie made her diamond sparkle monsters vampires. They could have been dark fae out of Celtic mythology, and not only would everything have made more sense, but she could have gotten points for creativity.
Okay so fun fact about the Twilight title because you mentioned the French title. In German, it's Twilight - Bis(s) zum Morgengrauen. So it theoretically translates to "Twilight - Until Dawn" (confusing, I know) because "bis (zum)" translates to "until". BUT!!! "Biss" translates to "bite" (cause it's about vampires, get it?) and I just love this wordplay because then it translates to "Twilight - bite at dawn". German titles are always so extra because whoever is translating them always tries to make a play on words based on the story.
@@FallenKuroTaiyo I love them too but I do question those that leave the English title and then add some German words as well. But in my language, they translated "Iron Man" to "Man of Steel" so I ain't one to judge.
oh no as a Mormon I'm just realizing that you're not wrong even though none of my siblings or I have obnoxious name spellings. Although my older sister has a slightly unusual name.
To be honest, I find it cute that Stephenie Meyer took the time to research the genderbent scenarios to the point that she realized she couldn't make Beaufort's parents divorce something realistic. You know, in a novel about teenage vampire love. It speaks a lot about her approach to writing: not always the best choices, for she is not the greatest author ever, but even when the story's many flaws come forward you know she still cared for it. And Twilight happened because she had a dream one night and kept it in her heart. Is like if Cinderella won a publishing deal instead of a prince. Makes me hate E.L. James so much more.
Kata Nina who told you that? a fever you can’t sweat out came out on september 27, 2005. the first twilight book came out on october 5, 2005. i find it highly unlikely that stephenie meyer managed to write a novel-length self-insert fanfiction about brendon urie and publish it a week after his debut album.
“...approach to writing: not always the best choices, for she is not the greatest author ever, but even when the story’s many flaws come forward you know she still cares for it.” That’s my approach to writing, too 😂 certainly not the best, questionable choices here and there-but goddamn if I don’t love it with my entire heart!
To be honest, back then I didn’t mind the Axe body spray. It’s the combination with sweat after a hot day for me. 🤢🤢Also when it would be sprayed on too much. I haven’t smelled Axe Body Spray in years though.
This made me realise How tf did Charlie not get custody of Bella? He was so much more involved( in a healthy way) in Bellas life and he actively acted like a parent instead of Bellas best friend. Well, i guess Myers went with the realism here..
Fathers who fight for custody are more likely to get it than mothers. That's just fact. Most parents mutually agree on the mom having more custody, but if they don't agree and it goes to the courts, dad is more likely to win. Which should be no surprise.
Seriously, how did Charlie not get custody? Renee was downright negligent. Ran off to go tour the country in a van or whatever with her new husband, THREW AWAY HER CELL PHONE so her daughter has zero way to contact her, leaves her with a father she hasn’t seen in YEARS, and doesn’t even bring her there physically to get her settled in?!
@@valereebraz198 it actually is, the same statistic that says moms get more custody literally say within the same study that fathers will get it more if they fight more. literally show up to court and you will get custody. answer basic questions like what school they go to, how the grades are, you'll get it.

To be fair, while EL James GOT there first, Stephanie Meyer had already been working on Midnight Sun and EL James probably wouldn’t have written Grey if she hadn’t known about Midnight Sun
She stopped writing the book because she had given a friend a copy to look over and edit and they leaked what they had to the public. She felt betrayed which yeah.
@@teddy-1965 Well when for some reason I read that Grey book and it was terrible, I hope Stephanie does a better job because Grey was quite the dissapointment and it really felt like she just wrote a summery of all the 50shades books without actually new information about the male lead character. @@AmandaTheJedi haha. I think the idea of her just writing different versions of the same story is funny. Ok, now how about Twilight from the perspective of one of the normal kids at school or Twilight from the perspective of mustache dad.
I think she was aiming to be akin to LJ Smith, but LJ had an *entire* Night World universe, including Vampire Diaries before it became a show. Stephanie could never. She rode this one horse so long, it should be glue by now.
@@pagingdrbitchcraft Yeah, the only way she could recover would be to make perspectives from lesser known characters and then insert stuff in their POVs that she could build on. She's not gonna do that though. Next book: "okay, so like, it's Twilight again, BUT, what if the Cullens were wErEwOlVeS and Jacob was a vAmPiRe?? Am I wowing you yet...?"
"I'd always said it would have gone exactly the same way if the roles were reversed." *The book literally ends in the exact opposite way of the original twilight story.*
I imagine that the ending was different because the other main complaint (aside from Bella being a helpless klutz) was that all the drama would have been avoided if the Cullens had just changed her like she begged them to. This was Meyer's chance to write it as a one-book (s)he's a vampire now(!) ending.
I actually think Edythe is better than Edward as a character and more like, "laid back" around intimacy because Stephanie actually is no longer a Mormon. She had conflicts with her own faith at the time when she was writing the original series.
Eh, I doubt that's all it is. The whole genderbending trope is *very* often criticised as transphobic, & a good reason for it is that genderbent characters are often more sexual than their canon counterparts. So I'm not at all surprised to see sex mentioned here
I don't know if it's because of her beliefs or whatever, but I do think both Edyth and Beau were a bit more chill than their counterparts. They were slightly less over the top.
@@BooksandBuns Seems like a massive stretch to attach it to transphobia and not just gender stereotypes as a whole. Frankly, I would still find it ridiculous to take offense at these for gender stereotyping, but at least it would have actual basis. Like, if the male variant of a female original is more sexual, that seems more like a stereotype of men, as well as an attempt to differentiate the genderbent dynamics from the originals. And if it's the other way around, then it's more of a byproduct of the female variant acting out behaviors of the male original (who was most likely already sexually forward in the original). Now I admit the male-to-female route can typically go two ways... either A) they're going for a sex-positive liberated feminist angle to go along with her forward nature that already existed for the male original, or B) the "worst case scenario"... it's being written by some poor sap who wants a woman to step on them. And yet there is one overriding similarity between the two of these... neither of them are transphobic.
when you mentioned liking Edith more than Edward, I was thinking of all that fanficition that must exist of BellaxEdith and I kinda want to read those now
oOOHHH Jessamine, your pain relief is SO SWEET I don't know what I'm doing with my life anymore, stick around to the end of the video for a bad surprise Guys I know 'La Fascination' doesn't translate to Twilight
0:40 So, apparently (wikipedia), the whole saga have first been published under the name "Saga du désir interdit" (Saga of Forbidden Desire). The 4 books were titled "Fascination", "Tentation", "Hésitation" and "Révélation" (I don't think I have to translate as those words are almost the same in English). All this sounds very much like the titles of some erotic books from the 70s. :D
I’ve never read the books but from watching the movies or from what I’ve seen in the movies, Rosalie was my favorite character. She had reasons for being how she was, she wanted to be loved and she got her human life ripped away from her. Plus the fact that she got her revenge! I just enjoyed her more than the others..

CS F Thank you. In Buffy them vampires are warm blooded and there’s magic(impure demons). In young Dracula the vampire are warm blooded and sorta age and there’s magic. In true blood, etc.. These are hard as stone, venom filled, no magic, no aging, vampires.
@@WhiteScorpio2 Now you are applying real world biology to something biologically impossible. Walking and talking requires being alive, which vampires technically aren't, so they are some kind of impossible magical creature that can work quite different from humans. Besides, there are creatures (like e.g. insects or crabs) that can move without having a blood circulation like mammals.

Sooo would the scenerios be swapped too or just the vampire aspect? Cause I have a feeling if Bella saw human Edward breaking into her room to watch her sleep she would probably just throw him out the window and the book would end.
That's actually a pretty interesting concept. It'd be cool to see how a selfless Bella acts when she's a hundred year old blood thirsty vampire alongside how Edward would be - much more innocent and doesn't have to suppress all of his emotions along with the thirst in order to keep himself contained and he'd just let go.
That sounds like a distinction without a difference. Vampire girl falls in love with human boy, how is that not exactly the same thing as Edith & Bowfart or whatever his name is? If Bella were vampire she wouldn't even be Bella and same goes for Edward as a human. What, she'd be a whiny clumsy self-conscious vampire who didn't think anyone could ever love her because she's so unattractive and boring despite being a powerful Flawless vampire? And Edward would be whiny, broody & afraid of hurting his vampire lover because he's so strong and dangerous despite actually being a weak puny squishy human?
I read a fanfiction kind of like this once. Edward and Alice were human twins while Bella and the rest of the Cullens were vampires. It was pretty good. Don't remember the name, though.
What we really want is a book about Jasper. And a book about Alice. And a book about Carlisle. And a book about Esme. Honestly, the background characters are so interesting, but we get to experience Edward and Bella. 😂😂
30th year anniversary she will make them all cave men like far cry primal and they will be fighting against other vampiric cave men tribes and hunt Sabertooth tigers, dinosaurs, and dragons on the side XD!
This re-imagined stuff sounds so much more intriguing than a story of a virgin being pressured into hardcore sexual practises by her first boyfriend ever. Just saying.
Excuse me but how many years has it been since you read the series? Bella is just so dam thirsty for Edward, she's barely virginal in everything but the actual act lmao and tbh Edward was deffo an awkward virgin too
Imma be honest, I relate better to Bo than Bella (mainly cuz ima dude). This book is a guilty pleasure of mine and I’ve read it more than once. And I can say i definitely prefer the audio book more. The reading by Michael crouch is a masterpiece.
My middle name is Edythe as well as my moms and it was my great grandmothers first name. I think she pointed it out for it to stand out as different. When people find out my middle name and how it’s spelled they’ll usually say something like “oh that’s a unique spelling” or something like that so people usually seem to notice. I’ve never seen the name be spelled the way it is except for myself and my family, up until this book.
Okay, so... this is actually something I unironically wanted for a very long time. Supernatural romance with the female in the dominant role is like impossible to find, outside of outright fetish fiction, which is not what I'm looking for. To get something like this, from Stephenie Meyer of all people, is absolutely amazing 👀
I've felt this way for so long! Like for example instead of the flirtatious "bad boy" and blushing girl trope it's a flirtatious girl and blushing boy. It's these small things within a fictional relationship dynamic I really wish existed but barely do, and it seriously narrows down my reading lists
@@pia.r.002 Exactly! It shouldn't be too much to ask to have an assertive girl once in a while in a romance novel, but it just doesn't happen, and I'm so fed up with bad boys who ride the line between cockyness and abuse (and more often than not even cross it).
@@pia.r.002 I KNOW! Bad girlxShy boy is a lot more interesting as a dynamic. When it's your stereotypical cute and shy girl paired with a flirty bad boy it makes my eyes roll sometimes, it really reveals the writers lack of creativity in that department. So cliché! .
I can't believe there is a gender bend Twilight, a Edward version on the way 12 years later and people who like The Host are waiting since 10 years for a second book.
4:36 Beaufort litterally translate as Beautifulstrong. And that's also the name of a well known cheese in France. So, not the most romantical name in the world.
I haven't touched the Twilight books but watching you explain and comment everything made me feel like I was attending an intensive class on this thing. All that is missing are the participation diplomas.
@@AmandaTheJedi the most disappointing part about Life and Death from me at least, is the name Beaufort. Not because I hate it, but because that is my middle name, meaning me and gender-swapped Bella share a name. What makes me sad is that everyone hates on Meyer for twilight (which I understand) but she wrote The Host which I loved. I wish she would’ve continued it as a book series because it was awesome.
oh yeah i loved the host too :) she also wrote the chemist that's awesome too. She isn't a bad author just twilight isn't that good and i think she continues it because of the fame it got, she must make lot's of money with twilight more than with any other book
I feel like while with this book, SM wanted to proove that she didn't use steoreotypes in twilight, she just proved that she did and that she also cant help herself but do it again? Like, for a girl vampire its 'easier to handle her sexual urges' nd male bella has to get hurt physically to a point where he pukes (females do dont such disgusting things) 🤔
i would not want a movie scene of either vomiting though vomit bothers me generally but i hate it too like this just makes edward look way worse as a character and I hate it.
I loved this version. I always wondered “what if they were all different genders? Would it be the same or since Edythe can’t get pregnant because her body is physically unable to carry children?” I loved the twist
Also in original books Bella wanted to call her eventual son EJ - Edward Jacob. In this universe they maybe would name their kid Carenee (as bad as Reneesme and Beau could be mad at people calling his kid a car). But for boy if they went for grandfathers names it maybe would be just Charlie Ernest (considering that Charlie will die sooner or later, so it wouldn't be as annoying as having two Ernests in family). But then again Beau is written less stupid than Bella, so they maybe would just pick some nice names based on Carlisle/Charlie's parents.
The part about teen senses being heightened is so true. As a tween I would always root for the more passionate relationship, the one that fell in love quick and you can’t think straight. But now I root for the one where they have the same interests, they’re nice to each other, they like each other and it can slowly progress to love etc
teenage boy in 2005 would probably smell like hairspray. if you close your eyes and just think about yourself in 2005 for 10 minutes, you can already smell it. smells like nostalgia
nah, coming from a teenage boy, he'd smell like he had way too much axe on, and maybe aftershave. source: someone's who's middle name is actually Beaufort.
As a guy, Life and Death was amazing for me! I always loved Twilight but I connected with Beau in a way I never could with Bella. And Beau’s interactions with Edythe took on a completely different dynamic and tone and I found myself falling in love with her! So I really appreciate Smeyer for writing this! I know her intention was to shut up some haters, but she unintentionally wrote a book for men who want read about a passionate romance too!
I first read Twilight when I was thirteen going fourteen. I'm now seventeen going eighteen re-reading it and even though it's only been four years I spent the whole time complaining about how ridiculously fast her relationship with Edward escalated.
I'm 14 and I've never read twilight, but I'm pretty sure I would also be constantly complaining about it, my god I've never read it and Bella already low-key pisses me off

"their skin is like stone..." Dont you mean as hard as... diamond? which is why they sparkle in the sunlight, and clearly embarrased by it when the other actual vampires from other fictional worlds get together and laugh at them.
I actually have read cross over fanfiction where that happened, but I never understood it. Twilight vamps sparkle in the sun, while pretty much other vamps without some sort of protection just burn and die. It sounds like the twilight vamp would be getting the last laugh in that situation.

I grew up in the Mormon Belt of Southern Idaho. Names like “Jessamine” , “Beaufort” and “Edyth” would have barely raised an eyebrow.
Edyth isn’t even that weird of a name. I know an Edith.

I would respect this, if Bella and Edward were the only gender bent characters giving us the bisexual love triangle that we deserved.
I need to read this right now
same
I have a subtle bisexual love triangle in my book tbh, the main character does not end up with any of her possible partners and travels the world with all her friends (alongside the two she was in a triangle with) in the epilogue.
I think that Julie Black is not even a candidate for Beaufort's affection in this one.
You know, given how Bella knew from the beggining that Edward has Vampire Bae and that Jacob only developed feelings for her in New Moon, the story would have been wildly different if we were to include the love triangle in this one.

- No stupid love triangle
- No teenage pregnancy
- No marriage at 18
- No strange magical baby
- No Bella whining for 3 books to make her a vampire
- No ideal ending without consequences for main character
So yeah, it's not great, but Life and Death is hundred times better than the whole Twilight series in my opinion.
So, no Julie falling in love with a fucking newborn? Sold!
@@randomcomment1286 I don't think anything could out jump that shark 🤣
- Funny names
- Rushed ending
- No wolve-vampire-alliance
- No revelation why Edythe can't read Beau's mind
- Not a book about Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Emmett, Carlisle or Esme
That'll make it even.
the same would be true if she had stopped after the first book

Okay so fun fact about the Twilight title because you mentioned the French title. In German, it's Twilight - Bis(s) zum Morgengrauen. So it theoretically translates to "Twilight - Until Dawn" (confusing, I know) because "bis (zum)" translates to "until". BUT!!! "Biss" translates to "bite" (cause it's about vampires, get it?) and I just love this wordplay because then it translates to "Twilight - bite at dawn". German titles are always so extra because whoever is translating them always tries to make a play on words based on the story.

I'd say James cares, she just worse then meiyer.
Ten outta ten, she made a strong effort.
E L James is one of the evil step sisters in this one

How tf did Charlie not get custody of Bella?
He was so much more involved( in a healthy way) in Bellas life and he actively acted like a parent instead of Bellas best friend.
Well, i guess Myers went with the realism here..
Fathers who fight for custody are more likely to get it than mothers. That's just fact. Most parents mutually agree on the mom having more custody, but if they don't agree and it goes to the courts, dad is more likely to win. Which should be no surprise.
@@inapickle806 that’s…. Just not even true.

@@matane2465 I misread that last part thinking you meant the POV of her dad's mustache 🤦🏽♀️😂

"I'd always said it would have gone exactly the same way if the roles were reversed."
*The book literally ends in the exact opposite way of the original twilight story.*
I imagine that the ending was different because the other main complaint (aside from Bella being a helpless klutz) was that all the drama would have been avoided if the Cullens had just changed her like she begged them to. This was Meyer's chance to write it as a one-book (s)he's a vampire now(!) ending.
She also changed other things.
I actually think Edythe is better than Edward as a character and more like, "laid back" around intimacy because Stephanie actually is no longer a Mormon. She had conflicts with her own faith at the time when she was writing the original series.
How you know she isn't Mormon anymore ? Because people are still pointing out how she's Mormon. 😂
Wait whaat

That's actually a pretty interesting concept. That sounds like a distinction without a difference. Vampire girl falls in love with human boy, how is that not exactly the same thing as Edith & Bowfart or whatever his name is? @@rgama1173 That's a shame, really. There's a whole unexplored market out there, I can't be the only person who's into that sort of thing.
Why not do normal names like Billy or Bob??
that's my middle name sooooooo
@@buizeltube6624 Well... keep the "beautiful-strong" and forget about the cheese, I guess? :)
@@bobiboulon yep hahaha
I haven't touched the Twilight books but watching you explain and comment everything made me feel like I was attending an intensive class on this thing. All that is missing are the participation diplomas.
Oh you poor thing, I hope you’ve recovered well from this experience
Been watching the movies all day while editing it's all over for me
Amanda the Jedi you’re stronger than I
@@AmandaTheJedi the most disappointing part about Life and Death from me at least, is the name Beaufort. Not because I hate it, but because that is my middle name, meaning me and gender-swapped Bella share a name. I _also_ found out Beaufort is the name of a cheese sooooo this video (and comments section) was very emotionally harmful to me lol.
What makes me sad is that everyone hates on Meyer for twilight (which I understand) but she wrote The Host which I loved. I wish she would’ve continued it as a book series because it was awesome.
Yessssss
Yyyesss someone who knows. The Host is my favorite book ever.
I love The Host!!
I bought that book years ago and never found the time to read it because so many people said it sucked. Now I have no idea where it is.
oh yeah i loved the host too :)
she also wrote the chemist that's awesome too.
Favorite line " I knew I must look like a gorilla on a greyhound " LMFAO
‘Is there gender switched Edward but not Bella fan fiction?’ DUDE you read my damn mind... that was my first thought when I saw the title lmao
Just leaving a comment in case someone has a reccommendation
I loved this version. I always wondered “what if they were all different genders? Would it be the same or since Edythe can’t get pregnant because her body is physically unable to carry children?” I loved the twist
So would Renesme be Charnest or Ernlie?
Renesmee doesn’t exist in this version. This book is what could have happened if the human was a boy and vampire was a girl
@@mjm3091 name her son after the other guy in a love triangle? That's sounds completely healthy
Ernlie is my new favorite name
The part about teen senses being heightened is so true. As a tween I would always root for the more passionate relationship, the one that fell in love quick and you can’t think straight. But now I root for the one where they have the same interests, they’re nice to each other, they like each other and it can slowly progress to love etc
she had beau turn into a vampire because she's a coward and didn't want anyone to assume a continuation of the series would end in mpreg
teenage boy in 2005 would probably smell like hairspray. if you close your eyes and just think about yourself in 2005 for 10 minutes, you can already smell it. smells like nostalgia
iop erty ID wax.
iop erty - Hairspray, lmao!
nah, coming from a teenage boy, he'd smell like he had way too much axe on, and maybe aftershave.
source: someone's who's middle name is actually Beaufort.
“Is there genderbent Edward but not Bella FanFiction out there?” The wlw slash fic the lesbians would fight for
This book has more versions than Old Town Road.
She mentions Taylor. Me: Who’s Taylor? Who’s Taylor?!
I want to know too
I think Taylor is gender bent Tyler
Tyler
I first read Twilight when I was thirteen going fourteen. I'm now seventeen going eighteen re-reading it and even though it's only been four years I spent the whole time complaining about how ridiculously fast her relationship with Edward escalated.
Reminds me of me reading hunger games and being annoyed with the way Katniss treated her mentally ill mother 😅
I'm 14 and I've never read twilight, but I'm pretty sure I would also be constantly complaining about it, my god I've never read it and Bella already low-key pisses me off
hella same
When I was 17 my girlfriend at the time was turning 18 and I bought this for her for her birthday, she knew my hatred for the series and how stupid I thought it was. Still, I walked into Barnes and noble and bought it and proceeded to get laughed at by the cashier. 😂 at least you recognize the series is dumb but you still love it. Whereas my ex was convinced it was the greatest book series ever written. You madame just got a subscription. Also George R R Martin laughs at Stephanie Meyer for taking long on a new book in a series. He still didn’t finish his 😂
I read some weird self insert story on the internet to my girlfriend about this bad boy hitting on the nerdy girl as a joke but she ended up liking it and I finished it for her out for her unironicallly. She loved it and it's honestly so weird the abuse coming from the guy is quite often and I'm worried my gf is into that crap XD
Noot having the cashier laugh at you like that is kind of rude.
"their skin is like stone..."
Dont you mean as hard as... diamond? which is why they sparkle in the sunlight, and clearly embarrased by it when the other actual vampires from other fictional worlds get together and laugh at them.
I actually have read cross over fanfiction where that happened, but I never understood it. Twilight vamps sparkle in the sun, while pretty much other vamps without some sort of protection just burn and die. It sounds like the twilight vamp would be getting the last laugh in that situation.
I have binged a bunch of your videos and every single time all i focus is Gabumon and Tsunomon in the backround. I am a Huge Digimon fan so it makes me so excited to see the stuffys.
(I've paused at 3:11)
This is the first vid I've ever seen from you and your channel.
You were already entertaining to listen to and had me interested in your content.
But.
I will tell you now, that I have subscribed because of the Tsunamon and Gabumon in the background of your video.
That is all.
I thought she stopped writing Midnight Sun because half the book was leaked.
It was ten years ago - she came back to it, maybe this time she will actually make it better.
HappyFace midnight sun was good
She did shelve it because it got leaked.
She said she quit writing it because the first thirteen chapters got leaked, but a lot of people thought it was because of the criticism she was getting. But, officially, she quit writing Midnight Sun because it got leaked
she did, but after she wrote this she was like you know what? I think i can write more. Then Gray was announced and lost all her motivation, which is a mood.
