If you're going to have Banshees at all, place them in position 2. Their Ultimate causes front 2 enemies to miss a turn, which is arguably the best Ultimate in the game. My Stress team is a bit unusual because although it is totally Stress-focused, it actually kills with Physical damage! Build is Shade, Shade, Banshee, DK. Works as follows: DK spams stance, modified to trigger when an enemy is debuffed. Banshee spams the scream that debuffs all enemies for minus 6 attack (triggers DK 4 times), and uses her ultimate when she can (also triggers DK!). Shades spam Accuracy debuff on all enemies (triggers DK) until all enemies are debuffed this way. Enemies now Miss most of the time!! Keep repeating until enemies have low Sanity (due to DK triggers etc), then revert to the most damaging attack in the game: Shades' Gloom Claws. Deals physical damage based on how much Sanity target has lost. This is about 200+ damage on enemies at 30% Sanity (300 damage on crit, and Shades crit a lot) which 1-shots or 2-shots most enemies. Job done.
The first three levels are very easy and are about specialization. So, you have a squad of either mainly fighters or mainly wizards. II am playing level 4 right now and I just bought the game last night and haven't finished my first run of the game. But starting from level 3, you will see enemies that do not have stress. So, you now have to mix and match. What is critically is the movements of your squad members. Some of them will move to the back after doing physical or magic attack. After that they cannot move forward and do physical damage again. So, they end up doing only magic which will not do it when the first couple of enemies are non-stress types. And Banshee, Lost Soul are pretty much useless fighting non-stress type enemies. Towards the later part of the game, I find Dark Knight and some other characters not allowing you to have shields, making them vulnerable to attacks. And the AI will try to kill them first. So, if you are facing both stress and non-stress type enemies, choosing the right combination of squad members is important. Being able to have shields is very important.
trade your skeleton for DeathKnight w/ his stance every time they get a Curse they get addiotional stress damage. Also the Banshee her 14 Dread buff to all allies is awesome. Also she can Hit the Entire Room w/ Stress.
hmmm.. Try position 1:Dark Knight. 2:Lich. 3:Lich. 4: Lost Soul. In battles: Lost Soul skips turn till last, Lich poison cloud on 2, Lich poison cloud on 3 an Dark Knight into stance.. Then Lost Soul shuffles the enemies... So much power....
Don't bother. It's been nerfed into the ground. It used to be absolutely broken. They still need to fix some issues regarding targets entering the clouds, however.
My best stress formation is A banshe on position 4 a wraith on 3 and 2 and a mummy in the 1st (it can be replaced with a wraith, but i like the mummy for debuf removing and luck debuff). Bunshe use Nooo! skill, Wraith ult, the other wraith ult. All the enemy shaffle what is make them all trigger Banshe stress damage. Its pretty powerfull mass stress damage. I Simple destroy everything until i reach the second boss.
Bride of Iratus - Banshee - Wraith - Dark Knight is my stress team. Wraith can spam her low stress aoe which debuffs the enemys with -6 atk, Dark Knight & Bride have high stress single target abilitys and can deal with golems with Wraiths 1. skill ^^
I went, 1 Lich 2 Shade, 3 Lost soul, 4 DK. All game more pain no minion deaths and never swapped. Killed it all with dark shadows and Shrapnel for stress immune for everything else heart attack, Open with shades defense, this puts everyone in the correct pos gives you crazy regen and crits like crazy. Ideally, Shade Defense, DK stance, Lich Mist, Lost Soul Q. This will mess things up bigtime, most games the front two lines have a heart attack before they can even move. Alternate shade defense and shadows, use his pos swap for saving and repos for defense. Just keep stance on DK and use consume if you get low, if you need give him wards and heal with lost soul.
Questions: Why not have both Wraiths at the back, then they can both push enemies with Wind? And maybe swap Skeleton for Black Widow who can use Silken Pull to get an extra Cloud proc.
2x Brides, Zombie, DK Crushes 2nd boss Dk just targets lower HP towers front line tank/dps, can be swapped out with headhunter Buff Brides & Zombie first round Every round after Brides are in stance Zombie shuffles with wrath atk when possible Prioritize towers by their dps

Tried it out, its like a knife made of fear slicing trough the buttery soft mortal flesh of those who dare oppose me, delicious

Good guide! But wraiths and liches both do magic damage, so they are still useful against golems.

Cool! I haven't unlocked the Lost Soul yet but definitely going to try it!

I presume for vigore-based damage you could replace the lich with a wrath...
2x Brides, Zombie, DK
Crushes 2nd boss
Dk just targets lower HP towers front line tank/dps, can be swapped out with headhunter
Buff Brides & Zombie first round
Every round after Brides are in stance
Zombie shuffles with wrath atk when possible
Prioritize towers by their dps
