Hi Dave, I've made campfire lasagne in steel British army mess tins, put the big one over the wee one and made a 'roof' out of tin foil to put coals from the fire on top. I did pre-make the bolognese but its easy enough to do in situ and I used cheese sauce granules and fresh pasta sheets. Although I say it myself, it worked a treat. As long as you have fun doing it mate, thanks for sharing.
Dave that wasn’t half bad at all. You certainly can’t beat Philadelphia cheese as a cheat for cheese sauce . Incidentally I was more impressed that you can still get glass bottles of milk, haven’t seen them in ages. Loving the channel, looking forward to the next instalment
Good morning, Lasagne is messy enough when cooking at home lol. Good on ya for trying it turned out ok tbh, good short cut on the beshamel sauce, if nothing else definitely a belly filler haha. Enjoy the rest of your weekend, see you on your next adventure 🤟
Hi Dave. Great effort cooking lasagne on a Trangia. Have you ever heard of the dog bowl oven? If not search RUclips for it, I think it would be a good way to cook lasagne on the Trangia. I use one with my Trangia sets. I have successfully used stainless steel dog bowls from Poundland and Poundstreacher. The Poundstreacher ones are bigger so a bit more useful. Looking forward to watching more of your Trangia videos. Cheers.
@@bushcraftdavetrangia I was also thinking about reversing the pots in the 25. One way they nest, the other way it's almost a double boiler. Maybe add a couple stones to put some space. I really did enjoy the video. Very Inspiring!
Thanks Dave. Always nice to have guidance on new adventures. Thanks for taking plunge on new recipes and cooking ideas. 73, TE.
Thank you 👍

Hi Chris. I have bought myself a funky Xmas present which I plan on using in some videos next year so watch this space.
Many thanks 👍
@@bushcraftdavetrangia Exciting. Is it an Omnia oven?
@@chrisgreen8916 could well be 😉
Nice. 👍🏼 Next time maybe cook the pasta sheets in boiling water a little first for a few minutes?
Thank you. Yeah I did think afterwards, that a couple of minutes in some boiling water would help. Thanks again 👍
Cool! Maybe even letting the cooked lasagna 'set' after taking it off the heat, maybe the noodles would have finished cooking? Maybe?
Very possible. Thank you Steve 👍
