My writing process is nothing short of a combination of existentialism and chaos, but it is oh so fulfilling.
I wanted to discuss with you all my writing process, some notes on creativity, and reading a poem to you. I also included a little audio at the end of me serenading my cats because it just felt right.

This video might just be one of my favorites of hers. It was so simple yet so inspiring. It's just what I needed to hear. I've always wanted to be an artist of some sort. Whether it was painting and drawing, or writing. But I never truly felt like anything I did was ever good enough to be called art. This inspired me to just let my creativity be without trying to label it as good or bad. It's my emotions and I've always thought that art was all about emotion. So from now on I'll let my creativity and emotions flow into the canvas of my choice, without worrying if it's good enough. Thank you truly Karissa. Keep letting your creativity flow because the outcome is such an beautiful thing. I believe your art will be known and appreciated. Even tho it already is. 💗

Hi Karissa, I've been watching your videos since I discovered your channel 4 days ago and I wanted you to know that you're really inspiring. I'm also a writter (writing a fantasy book), I'm currently in a creativity block that started like 5 - 6 months ago and that really is making me feel so frustrated and angry with myself. Also I've been wanting to try writing poetry a long time but I just feel I can't. Watching this video was very helpful because maybe after all these years I'll finally start writing some poetry and finishing the book I'm currently working on, so thank you for sharing your passions with us and inspiring us!

this video was super inspiring! i love the idea of writing poetry and music but really struggle to do it. I find expressing myself in that way really hard due to just embarrassment or idk insecurity I think?? seeing people just being authentic and not caring if art is good or bad and just doing it is what inspires me the most so thank you so much, i appreciate you greatly

I've been writing poetry for 2 years now, and I love finding other poets and writers. Reading old literature from ancient poets and writers can be fun, but nothing beats the intimacy in reading or listening to poetry from another young stranger who's filled with dreams and hopes and wishes, and is just as normal as yourself. You're a wonderful person and I'm glad I found this channel. I hope you continue to be yourself and inspire many people out there. Lots of love xx

do u have any favorite poets? mine right now are pablo neruda, ocean vuong, and jasmine ledesma. i esp love nerudas book of unanswerable questions!!! grahhhh it just makes my heart ache so much!!! he writes so beautifully and simply and it just, like, lands in your heart and echoes on forever. thats a pretty dramatic way of describing it but his poems make me so soft.

what i do to ground myself sometimes (im also vvv socially anxious >:(( its a slay) is breathe in and breathe out, and when i breathe in i think, "i know that i am breathing in," and when i breathe out i think, "i know that i am breathing out.". its really great cause it makes me feel one with my body and myself, and in one very peaceful action i can rid myself of all of the awful feelings about myself i've gathered throughout the day. its something i learned from buddhism and its how i'm trying to meditate!!! (which im still super bad at hahahaha) also, after youve done that for a couple minutes, you tell yourself or somebody you love, "dear one, i know that you are there and it makes me very happy." it feels so pure.

I really liked your thoughts on ego vs. soul when it comes to the creation of art in whatever form. I play Jazz music and the validation of the audience plays such a big role that even when you felt good while improvising your solo (soul), you always have to keep in mind what the audience thinks (ego). Was what I just played interesting enough? Did it sound good?
