i just realised life isn’t about achieving goals. i think we got that idea from social media, especially tik tok .. that we always have to have a goal and everything you do should have a meaning. what’s important is the lessons we learn in the process of achieving these goals. it happened so many times for me to end up feeling unsatisfied right after i achieved a goal i had for years. and the reason is because i just thought about the outcome and i didn’t learn any lessons, i stayed the same. we blindly follow and strive to be the best version to the point we lose ourselves on the way.
As a girl who has just turned 18 and wants to be a writer and more intune with myself spiritual and creatively, this video was so so lovely to watch! Thank you for giving us your precious advice Karissa and hope you had a lovely birthday angel!
15:57 I am a university student. During the past holidays I made a big improvement in my mental health as well as my relationship with my emotions. Because of that I couldn't relate with my classmates anymore, so I spend most of the day alone and in quite (becoming able to be in quite is a huge improvement for me).
Today on the afternoon the professor was absent so three study hours were cancelled. But I didn't want to go home right away. Instead I opened the classroom window, brought a chair and sat in the direct sunlight shining softly.
The peace that I felt at those hours, in a huge classroom and alone with only bird chirping and a few distant conversations far from me, was something I have never felt before. I felt truly connected to myself, like I found the peace within me.
So I agree, nature nurtures ♡

Watching this video after having lost a friend to a terminal illness just a few days ago. He was only 28 years old and had such a vibrant energy, such a light, so much talent and potential. You're right when you say getting old is a privilege. Like you, it always scared me, the idea of losing my "beauty", whatever that might mean. Now I finally understand that getting old, and watching your loved ones grow old with you, is a honor and a privilege.

On #12, the biggest thing I learned now that I'm 22 is to ask myself "Are you holding people to rules that you didn't communicate to them? Are you holding them to an ultimatum that you haven't spoken to them about?" and really check myself and force myself to communicate haha. Another big rule that I'm constantly trying to enforce with myself is to ignore subtext!! I need to ignore passive aggression, if someone has something they want to say they can say it clearly or not at all. I'm not going to sit here and decipher someone's motives or feelings when they refuse to be upfront about something.
I’m going to be 19 this summer and I was so so stuck into trying to do all these things so I could meet my families expectations for me and I realized I wasn’t doing what I really wanted. Right now I just wanna focus on saving and moving forward with things that make me happy. This video helped me realize that’s what my intuition wants. You’ve even inspired me to start a yt channel. Thank you ❤

i can relate to so many things you have stated throughout this video. i feel like ever since i turned 22 last year i’ve just blossomed so beautifully in so many areas of my life (self love, patience, creativity, maturity, etc). noticing such progress makes the idea of aging a lot less scary. thank you for sharing your lessons with us!

20. Listen to your body, it keeps the score
21. We carry more than one lifetimes within us, I am a mere product of everyone in my bloodline who came before me
22. Being called weird is a huge compliment
23. Consumerism will never fill that void, nor will it carve out your identity
24. Envy and gratitude cannot co-exist
25. I am not my flesh, I am my spirit. I am not my ego, I am my soul 🌟

I can't tell you how glad I am to come across your channel and content. 25 was a pretty rough year for me but I somehow managed to take also a lesson from every year that past by. I'm so grateful for this video because what I truly need to learn the most is to follow my intuition rather then my fear. I don't know yet how to fight that beast but the fact that you start to learn to live after your intuition motivates me to keep the hope and keep going ❤ I appreciate you thank you love ❤
