    The presence of the pedal board truly makes this a demo of Andy Timmons’ remarkable talent. It is less so a demo of the amp, which is a shame. It’s a Hell of an amp.

    If any manufacturer wants to sell product dealing with guitars and amps, there is no finer guitarist that will get that done than, Andy Timmons. And what a pair up than the Realms Penetrator, Mesa Boogie and Andy Timmons! Bravo Boogie!

    I need to pop 6V6's back in my TC50 and play around. Some very useful alternative tones in there. Personally, I use the 6L6's. Thanks Mesa for providing the extra value and versatility to the user. The TC series amps are wonderful.

    I too think the high end is softer or sweeter as Andy said. First thing I noticed on the clean sound. I like the 6V6s.

    Jesus! This amp goes from alright to holy s*** with the 6v6 tubes! I seriously wish I could afford it though :/ maybe when I’m not 16 working part time

      You can probably get one used on reverb for a good price

    Great vid series! Man, this is triggering some serious GAS; I love the tone + the versatility (especially with the easy tube swapping) and as someone who does a lot of home recording/general playing the built in attenuation is really nice.

    Mesa Rulz! Have the Mark V and didn't think it could get any better. Triple Crown says it all. Can't imagine what could top this but somehow Mesa will.

    I like this amp.
    I have the Mark V with the 4x12 rectifier cabinet. Just added the 2x12 cabinet to make it a stack and a half, and it sounds phenomenal...👍

    • @markkeneson6806
      @markkeneson6806 5 лет назад

      That would be a 3/4 stack. A stack and a half would be 12 speakers.

    • @donprater6944
      @donprater6944 5 лет назад +1

      Mark Keneson I left out the Marshall 1960b, sitting next to the Mesa cabinets. Haven't tried all 3 together yet. The Mesa cabinets are bigger and a lot heavier. Would look kinda silly sticking the Marshall under the Mesa cab because of the size difference. I'm short a cable too at the moment. So 1 and 1/4??

    • @markkeneson6806
      @markkeneson6806 5 лет назад

      @@donprater6944, yes 1 and 1/4 stack.

    i think andy could play on an ole gorilla amp like i had when I was a little kid and make it sound beautiful! but I do think this mesa TC amp is truly phenomenal......hard to not pick one up to add with my mark v.

  • @anthonycosta2662

    Gotta say like these tubes better than EL34 in the other video

    • @PongMessiah
      @PongMessiah 5 лет назад +1

      Feel the same. My TC-100 was a really good amp but never *quite* hit the spot for me. I tried 6L6s, and they were different than the stock EL34s, but not necessarily better... put in some 6V6s on a lark a few days before selling it and instantly wondered if I'd making a huge mistake in posting the ad!

    • @anthonycosta2662
      @anthonycosta2662 5 лет назад +1

      Kenneth Strand I was a snatch hair from pulling the trigger but decided to go with the 3rd power citizen gain. It’s a hot rodded Marshall with a ridiculous master volume. I’m more of a Marshall person so that amp seems to be on point. Arriving tomorrow. But I do like this amp and this tube May still give it a try. Seems like a very versatile amp.

    I have the 50w, using a parametric eq. Whoa!
    The 6v6's sound really good in this amp (all of them have there uniqueness)..but loosing 50% output for a gig or practice ...well may have to get the 100. 😂

    Whats the middle pickups in his guitar? and does anyone know what that toggle switch between his tone knob does? Please and thanks in advance I you can help. Andy is a beast

    • @elvis_chen
      @elvis_chen 5 лет назад +1

      I was in a guitar clinic and people asked him the same question about the middle pickup but he didn't tell, he said he is trying something and not decide to let it stay or not.

      @efrainmeza9872 5 лет назад +1

      Martin Miller says in a comment that the dpdt switch of Andy is for coil tap the humbucker, I think he wants to get a more real strat pure tone out of the middle and bridge pickups
