Look! Cheesy made a mistake on the internet! There are a few notable errors throughout the video that I'm aware of: - 1:18:38 (The text for the music on the side doesn't disappear with the rest of the banner) - 1:43:01 (The old cafeteria portrait is in the background, rather than the new one. Actually have no idea how that could've even happened) - 2:30:10 (One of the dolls is missing) - 3:17:26 (One of the characters doesn't have their portraits blacked out when leaving the scene) - 3:41:50 (The head for the map screen randomly appears, no idea how that happened) - Sometimes transitioning into the cafeteria doesn't have the screen fade in like it's supposed to, this is an error that happens occasionally when rendering large files in Vegas. - Certain scenes are also just missing miscellaneous voice cues. Hard to notice, but it's typically whenever there's a long stretch of time with no soundbyte accompanying characters. Listing these so that the majority of comments aren't "Hey, you did the thing wrong!", this stuff is bound to happen sometimes, especially given the runtime of the video and the things that happen when rendering large files. Trying another attempt and rendering would require waiting for like, another day and that's not worth it to me~ So yeah, ignore these and hope you enjoy the video regardless

Cartman is not about to be the first victim/killer, lmao. He's going to stick around for quite a while and cause the other students trouble. This statement better not come back to bite me. EDIT: It did not. I know there's a tiny, slim chance he's the blackened in this case but let's be honest here, the chances are incredibly low due to how much suspicion is already on him.
3:43:27 At first I was wondering "why is this Kyle sprite so adorable yet heartbreaking?" But then I realized it may do to the fact that his freetime event is happening after it's revealed that *SPOILERS* Kenny is being held captive. I know the freetime events don't really affect the main story, but I think the timing adds an layer of sadness to it. But seriously, I think Kyle's sprites are my favorite so far because of how adorable some of them look.
My immediate thought when I watched the first one, knowing that Zim’s in this, was that maybe Zim is the mastermind… The color scheme was very pink and techy, as well as the world ending event being called “The Invasion”, something Zim says and threatens (ex: the many times he has said ‘The Irken Invasion’ or ‘The Invasion’). Not to mention that what caused the end of the world wasn’t from earth and were very obviously aliens. I was doubting myself when he started to try to call the Tallest in the bathroom before he saw that Dipper was there, but it would be very in-character for Zim to also erase his own memories of it to try and remain inconspicuous, despite the fact you kinda need to remember when you are supposed to be in charge of something. He would very easily make that oversight. Sorry for rambling about this when you probably won’t care, it’s just that most people probably wouldn’t have caught onto this since I haven’t seen anyone talk about the *Invader Zim* section of the cast yet and I wanted to share my thoughts :]
@razzmatazz185 Well in Dipper's profile when it talks about daily life, it says that the thing Dipper saw go downstairs was a cloaked figure, so most likely hinting at the mastermind being someone not among the students. Plus the videos called, "Talents" and "Prologue prologue", suggest the mastermind being someone who was rejected by the school and most likely part of the reserve course(which did get mentioned in the beginning of the trial) and potentially the hajime/izuru of this universe.(would make sense why they'd have a good amount of knowledge of the school, if they were a part of an experiment done by the school) My theory is that the picture in the dining hall that keeps changes, is hinting at who the mastermind(s) are. The mastermind got help from Bill Cipher and took advantage of certain students talents. Maybe even banished the school's alumni to make the bodychanging monsters and then replaced the alumni with the monsters and adding most of the real person's memories in the monsters. Those are my theories, based on what I've seen so far in the story.

My first theory wasn't too thought out because it's late rn, but I had an idea/theory that i wanted to share - even though it only had 5 minutes of sleep deprived thought behind it - and it involved one of my favorite characters in the cast who wasn't getting talked about that much, which makes sense as Invader Zim is one of the older shows in this. I've never actually tried theorizing about something like this before, and sharing it + getting some feedback with another theory felt really nice, so thank you for reading my rambling :]

My coping headcanon is that anyone who dies gets picked up by Grim and go have Grim Adventures with Billy and Mandy. I barely know what a Danggangrompa is but this narrative and cast have been so enjoyable to watch! Will totally wait a year for the next episode
Ah so many people dropped spoilers for Danganronpa in this comment section! I hope you don’t mind too much. In their defense it’s because most people absorb the main content before entering a fangan (gotta watch/play Danganronpa 1 Danganronpa 2 and Danganronpa V3 at least. The 2 animes, Ultra Despair girls, and the novels the mangas are extra canon content). And in this case the Danganronpa content is more niche than the cartoon characters so it’s unexpected that a non-DR fan would engage here but I guess since it’s new nostalgic content with good writing and voice acting, here you are! (SPOILERS BELOW) - Don't read past the 'Read More' if do not wish to be spoiled So Star Butterfly is our first casualty of Monokuma's Mutual Killing Game, and to be quite honest, and this may upset / bother some people, but... I think Star Butterfly was the safest first victim that they could have gone with, and I mean that in the nicest way possible, I don't have any qualms about it. Star Butterfly was among my top 3 candidates to die first (Blossom & Vendetta were the other two in case you were wondering), but it makes a lot of sense to kill her off first, without her magic, she pretty much had no role to play really, she's a goofy optimist, traits that many other characters can fill the role of, and in my opinion; other characters can fill said role better. NO I am not hating on Star or the show, but from my perspective, I think every character has a role to play, even the most normal of the bunch; Morty & Kyle, but Star is that one character I kept asking myself "What would Star Butterfly's role be beyond the first trial", and I struggled to think of a potential story arc and role she could play. Also the moment Star Butterfly didn't react to Marco being a hostage, I had a feeling she was a goner, she has no memory of Marco, which got me wondering, why is she the outlier in this scenario? Why is she the only one who doesn't have any memory of the hostage tied to her? That's when I thought they were about to kill her off in order to prevent us the audience from learning what could be crucial evidence to understanding the story. Okay I'm off to re-watch this masterpiece of a fangan project a few more times, I'll be taking notes this time, and that could take a while, but once I'm done, I'm gonna leave one HELL of a long list gushing over my thoughts, addressing references / Easter eggs, and pointing out potential clues and theories I have, and all that good stuff. To ThatCheesyBastard and every other talented individual involved in this fantastic project; you all should be very proud at what you have accomplished here, it truly is masterful work.
After reading what you have to say, I agree with your take on who the first victims could have been. I just have one question, who do you think could have been Star's killer? My money is on Mabel because it just kinda feels right to me. Mabel would absolutely kill for waddles because we know how depressed she was when she didn't have him in the carnival episode.
@@neal334 While i agree with Mable being a heavy hitter for the first killer of the trial, it also makes you think… Why did the killer, kill AFTER 12? We can tell it is after 12 because the “supposed” killer is walking away from the kitchen at around that time. Which leads me to MY conclusion! Being that the killer… has nothing to gain from this kill, but Freedom! In my opinion, this takes off: Zim Mable Kyle Cartman Jenny Blossom Bubbles Vendetta Ed Eddy Morty (i’m iffy on that. I doubt the sight of a portal gun would make him kill.) With this, that leaves the possible killers being: Gaz, Dib, Dipper, and Charlotte. We can Cross Dipper off from this list because he was unconscious at the time (Plus he is the protagonist) With all this, my prediction is that the killer is either Dib, Gaz, or Charlotte.
@@neal334 - Unfortunately we have very little to go off of to be able to discern who the culprit could be, I have some guesses but next to no evidence whatsoever to back up my guesses, my guesses are Blossom, Bubbles, Jenny & Eddy, but I'm willing to dismiss Jenny & Eddy because those are just hunches based on nothing, Bubbles I'll explain further down, but Blossom, while everyone has a motive to kill, Blossom being a killer would be a serious blow to the group's morale, the 'Team Leader' character killing someone isn't something we've seen before in the series, BUT the only thing that makes me doubt that Blossom is the killer, is that I highly doubt she would kill someone to save Buttercup if it meant Bubbles would be at risk of being killed, if it were the other way around, then yes, I think she would kill someone to save Bubbles. Bubbles I could see being the culprit for much of the same reasons as Blossom, but unlike Blossom, I don't think Bubbles would understand the magnitude of what she's done, and may have killed without really thinking it through, she could have acted impulsively upon realizing that time was running out, but what hurts her potential as the culprit is that she's not the smartest, covering her tracks would require assistance, which I could see Blossom doing in order to protect her sister, but also Bubbles is just too nice of a character to commit a murder. From a story perspective though, Bubbles commiting murder would be a serious blow to Blossom, not wanting to accept that her sweet kindhearted sister would kill, actively defending and denying all of Bubble's action, honestly Bubbles would do the same for Blossom now that I think of it, nevertheless Blossom would be devasted and broken at having to witness the execution of her sweet innocent sister to the point Blossom quickly neglects her 'Team Leader' status and the morale of the group starts to crumble. So Blossom & Bubbles are my primary suspects at the moment, but that may change across subsequent viewings, but let's go over every other character, one-by-one to be thorough. Honestly I think we can automatically remove Zim, Vendetta & Cartman from the suspect list just because it would be too obvious that one of the three most evil characters would be the first to commit a murder. Ed... nah, the guy is just too pure to commit a murder on purpose, nor would he be smart enough to hide it without assistance, same goes for Charlotte. Kyle, now Kyle I could go either way with here, Kyle has always served as a constant foil to Cartman, in a sense, they're rivals, and Kyle always has the moral high ground between the two, but Kyle ain't no saint either, he can be a hypocrite and at times thinks he's the most knowledgeable, mature and morale person, when there are plenty of episodes that prove he isn't as good a person as he thinks he is, BUT because he's stuck there with Cartman, I believe Kyle would feel compelled to stick to his core values and progress through the game without dirtying his hands just to prove a point that he is the better person, the rivalry Cartman & Kyle have, I think keeps Kyle safe for a while. Dib & Gaz I feel are too important to kill off too soon, and have the least incentive to kill, but because of that I could see Gaz being a surprise killer, and doing it 'just because no one else had the brains or guts to do it'. Morty is another character I don't think has much of an incentive to kill, he's always had a rocky relationship with Rick, at multiple times admitting just how horrible a person he is, and at times, it feels like he wants Rick dead (Granted I'm not up-to-date on Rick & Morty so their relationship could be healthier in Season 4 & 5... but I doubt it). And then there was Mabel, while I see both sides of the argument, and yes Mabel would be selfish enough to kill just for Waddles, plus the way Mabel behaved in the lead-up episode to the Weirdmaggeddon trilogy of episodes, especially Weirdmaggeddon part 2, shows just how much of an ungrateful selfish brat she can be, especially toward Dipper... but I'm still not entirely sure she would commit a murder, BUT there is bit of evidence that makes her quite suspicious, and that is... why was she not in the Nurses Office with Dipper after being hurt by Monokuma? Seems like something a good sister would do, staying at your brothers side while he's recovering, and why would Mabel even think it was a good idea to leave Dipper in the Nurses Office ALONE when the threat of murder is at an all time high??? This just highlights Mabel's selfishness, BUT we also don't know what was going on around that time, as in what happened directly after the Gymnasium Incident with Monokuma and the girls. It's easy to suspect Mabel for not being there for Dipper, but we don't yet know what was happening elsewhere, regardless however she is pretty suspicious, BUT I have a theory how the story is going to pan out, and I mean when we're nearing the end, I think Cartman is going to capture Dipper, hide him away and restrain him, with the intention of killing him, but before he's about to kill Dipper, his attention is brought elsewhere, he leaves and shortly afterwards we hear the Body Discovery Announcement, the remaining survivors rush in to free Dipper, and in another room; Cartman lies dead, and through the triall we learn that Mabel killed Cartman to save Dipper. Sorry this comment is so damn long, but when my brain starts to churn, it's like a long dark rabbit hole of ideas and theorizing, also sorry if there's a lot of errors & mistakes in my long-winded comment, I'm currently running on 12 hours worth of sleep in the past 5 days :(

About the culprits, Mabel and Bloosom (red one, brazilian ehre) are one of the most suspects to me.
Mabel here is the strongest candidate for first culprit. But I was leaning towards Blossom before the murder took place. Bubbles is a good candidate as well, she wouldn’t be too good to cover her bases and hide her tracks (which is perfectly fine for a first trial tbh), but I can see why she would do it. Then there’s Dib and Gaz. I don’t think Dib will be it, he will be way too important… However I can see Gaz being it as well, but it’s unlikely. It can’t be Cartman since it’s too obvious and usually the disruptive one of the group tends to go very far, almost to the point of surviving.
Watched it live and gave it a rewatch- This was an amazing watch and made me both laugh and afraid at the same time! It really did feel like I was watching a cartoon at times, you really got a good hold on the humor and gags to make it more visually interesting to watch to make it stand out. Every joke landed for me, and I even caught a few references here and there (I saw what you were doing with the Psycho Eddy thing there you sly piece of cheese >:y) The whole way through I had no idea who to expect to die first and was really shocked with the first victim! I already have a bunch of preeictions and theories but it's definitely really early to stick with anything.. Major props Cheese, the wait was worth it! Also special shoutout to the VA for Dipper, before I was somewhat nervous about your performance but you really settled into the role here and outdid yourself, especially with the ending segments. I can't wait to see how you continue to excel moving into Deadly Life!

Y'know, Blossom's idea is pretty agreeable on the spectrum of Dangans, considering Tsurugi Kinjo from DRA1 had the same idea. Too bad they ended up with the same end result-
Here's just some random hopes and ideas I have for this episode and beyond: When the group comes together to discuss their strategy for escaping Hopes Peak, I think it would make a lot of sense if characters like Jenny, Star, Morty, Blossom & Bubbles and Kyle & Cartman speculate how they believe villains from their places of origin could be behind this. The whole time they're discussing this, Mabel somewhat worriedly ask "Dipper? You... you don't think... Bill could be behind all this?" grabbing the attention of the rest of the characters, and Dipper is forced to go over the horrors & atrocities that Bill Cipher has committed, explaining just how evil and powerful he was, to the point even Blossom & Bubbles are unnerved by this, but Dipper also explains that Bill was defeated and essentially wiped from existence, but Cartman or anybody really, points out how his Grunkle Stan was able to regain his memories, and how if that was possible... whose to say Bill Cipher couldn't return as well? The very thought frightens both Dipper & Mabel. I also think at some point, Kyle should warn the group of just how truly evil Cartman is, warning them NOT to underestimate Cartman and his capacity for malice, and stir discord, pointing out how deceptively cunning and manipulative he can be to ensure he gets his way. At first most of them just assume Kyle just has a grudge against Cartman, which he doesn't deny, but Kyle then tells them of all the truly horrendous things Cartman has done, including how he killed Scott Tenorman's parents, grounded them up into chilli and fed it to him, just because he made Cartman look like a fool, this revelation horrifies most, but intrigues Zim & Vendetta. That's all I got for now, SUPER excited for Chapter 1, I know it's going to be incredible, and I'm especially looking forward to many-a discussion that will be had after it ends.

Could you imagine the potential of a possible Zim and/or Vendetta plus Eric friendship? Zim spilling the beans of his alienhood to Eric? Would be cool to see how Eric would handle that info. All three forming into an “axis of evil” of sorts? Would be cool. Vendetta simping!? It’s unlikely, but would certainly be hilarious! Eric taking advantage of all of the above? Very likely. The possibilities are endless!
*WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!* Ok so we can all agree this chapter is absolutely… wonderful, just wonderful. I swear, you captured the feeling of not just Danganronpa, but the cartoons featured in this fangan brilliantly. But here’s a little something I don’t think anyone’s talked about yet: *What does the title mean?* The title of Cartoons in Danganronpa, Chapter 1 is “Something’s Cooking, Always Looking.” But what does that title mean to the chapter itself? At first I assumed “Something’s Cooking” meant Cartman, since he IS in the thumbnail, and “Always Looking” meant Monokuma’s cameras, or Monokuma himself, or the mastermind. One of the three. And I still think that that’s what “Always Looking” means, but what about “Something Cooking”? Well, what if it means the placement of Star’s body- in the kitchen? That’s probably what it means, but here’s another theory I have: What if the first part of the title is referring not to Cartman, not to the placement of the body, but to Cupcake, Charlotte’s new pet Fiend? (if you can call her that, I’m not sure how it works with Making Fiends, I didn’t grow up with that show) Something’s Cooking definitely works with that, we literally SAW Cupcake being made in a mixing bowl in the prologue. Hell, Always Looking works with it- Cupcake is in the kitchen most of the time, and unless she was somewhere else during the murder, she would have seen basically everything that went down in there. Needless to say, if the investigation involves Dipper interrogating a Fiend (probably with SOME assistance from Vendetta, she IS the expert on Fiends after all) then this will officially be the world’s most underrated Fangan.
Cartman is definitely a Nagito Kinnie- Or Kokichi lol But I really like how Cartman acts, it makes sense, especially because of his character, I wouldn’t put it past him to go crazy just like Nagito or Kokichi.
I like how it’s suggested that they’ve already been there when they get to Mabel’s lab. I wouldn’t be surprised someone like Dipper or Gaz would think of something like that. The art looks great and I’m really interested in the story

The worst part was I was late to the stream so i tried just rewinding to the start and watching from there. But it kept the up to date chat for me. I paused and checked other things a few times, and one of the times I went back to unpause I saw a comment that highly suggested that [VICTIM'S NAME HERE] was the one to die. So this is just a double whammy of on of my favorites dying first AND I managed to got spoiled on it! Like goddamnit I'm talking all the L's today!

Love this! I'm currently working on my own Fanganronpa (it's a secret, lol, be on the lookout for that) and this helped me come up with ways to make my presentation and style much better. Really excited to follow this! I feel like some scenes were a bit too long, but that's just how Danganronpa is, haha. Thoughts on the ending are below... It's very strange that Star is the first victim, especially with how they were setting up a mystery about how she doesn't recognize Marco. I really hope there's some payoff for that, I can't imagine how that plotline could continue unless it's somehow uncovered in the investigation. Was absolutely expecting it to be Blossom due to the ol' "leader dies first" thing Danganronpa tends to do, haha.
I have to say, this is absolutely mindblowing. I wasn't expecting much from such a hectic crossover, but this series are actually top quality. You made this mashup of worlds work, and created its own lore and mysteries. I love every part of it. Shoutout to the artist of the series too, must be a lot of work to adhere to each show's style. Also I appreciate Zim's voice, Lee Daniels, a lot. Sounds exactly like him. So, about this chapter's motive, it kinda irks me that having 1 hostage for 2 participants doesn't work. If one of them tries to save the hostage by killing, they have to sacrifice the other friend in a trial, which makes it a moot point. I guess this doesn't apply much to Eric/Kyle, but it's absolutely the case for Blossom/Bubbles and Ed/Eddie. This motive is in general largely unequal, which makes list of suspects very narrow. I think Jenny got the shortest end of the stick here, since her hostage is a member of her family. Also I absolutely did not expect Star to be the first victim. I thought it'd be Mabel for sure, color me surprised
Good shit Cheesy! This was definitely worth the wait. The quality was through the roof. Shoutouts to the VAs, they all did a great job. It really did feel like a Danganronpa game, both with the UI elements and with the overall tone of the story. With all these wacky cartoon characters, I think you did a great job at making them all tonally consistent with each other. I also really like how you’re utilizing a ton of different cartoons with the dolls and gifts, it’s fun to see characters that didn’t make the cut for the actual game. I do wonder if there’s a story reason for that (maybe the dolls represent characters that didn’t make the talent course for the school but are still enrolled?) With that out of the way, theory time. I definitely did not see Star dying first. I thought for sure it was gonna be Mabel, Dib, or one of the super hero types, but this makes sense since Star doesn’t really contribute much without her magic. As for the killer. Mabel and Jenny are at the top of my suspect list. They have the strongest connections to their hostages (besides arguably the Power Puffs, but I don’t see the killing first). It makes the most sense story wise to have it be Mabel since we’ll get some early character development for Dipper and it’ll remove his only “known saftey” within the school. Jenny on the other hand was super close to Star. If there’s anyone Star trusted, it would be Jenny. I also suspect that Jenny and the Powerpuffs aren’t gonna have air tight alibis just because of Monokuma nerfing them. It obviously wasn’t Dipper since he was passed out. Cartman is being saved to cause some discord later, not to mention that everyone will already suspect him, so he’s out. Dib, Gaz, Zim, Kyle, Vendetta, Charlotte and Morty either don’t have hostages or most likely wouldn’t kill for their hostages (in Morty’s case, Rick was wasn’t even captured and I think he’s being saved for later). I could *maybe* see Eddy or Ed (after being ordered by Eddy) killing, but it’d be for a way shallower reason than saving Edd. And again, I don’t see one of the PPGs being the first to crack (though Blossom was definitely getting frustrated about how powerless she was, which might come into play). And I’ll just throw in a quick prediction that Bill Cipher is controlling Prof. Membrane and making him host the killing game. He’s got the power to make an indestructible school and nullify dimensional scissors. Not to mention that Membrane would be one of the few people with the resources to kidnap all of the hostages. There was also a painting in the cafeteria where Monokuma and Bill were mirroring each other. My only worry is that it feels pretty obvious, would kinda of come out of nowhere story wise and it wouldn’t follow the “student that’s the mastermind” formula.
Spoiler: Honestly, Star was the safest bet or a victim. She doesn't really contribute anything to the team and honestly, she felt like a filler. Her talent isn't much of use, especially now that her wand isn't with her. Don't get me wrong, I love Star but her in Danganronpa, she doesn't really have a place. NOW MURDER THEORIES Dipper saw someone running at around 12:20am. I willing to bet the murder took place around that time as well. My guesses on who was running is either Star, the victim, the murderer, or an innocent student who saw the dead body. In the crime scene, at the left side, we can see some sort of vent? and metal pieces? scattered. Earlier on the video, we can see that Dipper's ultimate lab is connected to some secret passageway. What I'm thinking is that other student's ultimate lab has this feature? I'm thinking it's Star tbh. When the motive showed up, she had zero response on Marco, as if she doesn't recognizze him. What I'm thinking is she was actually planning a murder, explaining why she had scissors in hand. Her secret lab may be connected to the vent in the kitchen. It's also possible that the entrance of the lab is the vent itself? Since the exitways of the labs may all be connected to the painting, hence, why it changes from Monokuma to Professor Membrane. Maybe she tried to perform a surprise attack (Like Sayaka) but failed. Now for the suspects. I'm thinking it's Charlotte. She may have been feeding the black cat (I cant remember the name) but suddenly Star attacked making her fight or defend herself, which then sliced Star? I feel like the cut wasn't that deep and her cause of death was blood lost. I think she dragged herself trying to run away and get help but sadly failed. Charlotte may also be the first witness of the dead body and she may have been the one who was running away. Another suspect is Jenny. She has been with Star for a while and they have trust with each other. Maybe Star invited her to kill her but Jenny fought back and accidentally killed her instead? Jenny also fits? the size of the shadow that was running. Lastly, Mabel. You know how Danganronpa alwayys kills off someone close to the protag, meaning Mabel could be a potential killer, especially with the pig as the hostage. Either way, I think this murder was accidental with Star wanting to kill someone but ended up dying herself. EDIT: Honestly, aside from the first 3 to discover the body, no one's safe. Blossom and Bubbles would've been excluded since they fly but Monokuma kinda took those abilities away so yeah. NO ONE'S SAFE Okay I take it back. Dipper, Dib, Charlotte, AND MAYBE VENDETTA may have less suspicion on them due to them not having a hostage or anyone that is majorly related to them.

I agree. A crossover with multiple cartoon characters in a Danganronpa game interacting with each other really brings back a lot of nostalgia, and feel like a dream come true. I really like how they chose Dipper as the main protagonist, as mystery seems to follow him everywhere he goes. Yeah, I was waiting to know who died at the end first, but for the most part, I was really just in it for the story. The first victim the writers chose was...... pretty unexpected, if I'm being honest.
Stayed up till 2 am to watch this and I had a blast watching this. Just hope you're not working yourself too hard. Wouldn't mind giving you any criticism if you're hoping to improve
I see you point out the flaws, but let me point out the good stuff - The art is well done and used properly, many of the scenes looked cinematic and the characters faces are as exagerated as a what a cartoon - I like the kablam bit, that was very well thoughout -'UI' looked real as a Danganronpa game mockup - The characters have the same personality as they are in their respective shows. There are many other positives, as long as you fix the flaws and remember the positive, you should be A Ok.
I absolutely LOVE how long these segments are! What makes Danganronpa work imo is how we’re able to connect with each individual character through their own struggle and development, and having this much time poured into them only makes us closer to them, and eventually more emotional when some of them are inevitably killed off. Now of course some of us already have emotional attachment to these characters cause… they’re from childhood cartoons, but I digress. Amazing work! I hope you guys see this through!
(Spoilers) Alright let me throw my hat in the ring and give a piece of evidence that most might’ve missed and a possible culprit that you might have not thought of and how they could’ve gotten away with it. First things first, the evidence I found in the final shot, Cupcake is dead. You can see their head poking out on the left. They could also be knocked unconscious but I think their most likely dead. Which makes me believe that Cupcake witnessed the murder and the culprit killed them as well. Also I noticed that Cupcake’s head is sort of misshapen making me believe they were killed by getting stomped on. And while we can clearly see one of Star’s feet is clean, the other is hidden from sight… almost like it’s trying to hide something… Also, like many other people noticed, the blood trail seems to imply that Star was dragged to her place in the kitchen. But what I noticed is that the blood trail seems to begin at the place where Cupcake is. Why is that relevant? Well let’s shift focus onto Charlotte for a moment because I have some things to say about her… Now quite a few people think Charlotte could be a killer in chapter 3. But I don’t think anyone would suspect her to be killer #1. Allow me to introduce myself. Charlotte would spend a lot of time in the kitchen because of Cupcake and she overall seems like the easiest to kill because of her weakness and stupidity. The perfect target for someone to swoop in and take her out. Also Vendetta had mentioned that Cupcake was comparably nicer then other fiends and Cupcake did bite Vendetta so it could be possible that they would want to defend Charlotte if she were in danger Also now that I bring her up, I think Vendetta would want to be literally anywhere else but with Charlotte possibly ruling her out as an obstacle in killing Charlotte I think to better understand this theory better, I should piece together how I think this murder happened. Star finds Charlotte in the kitchen with Cupcake, scissors in hand, ready to kill her. Cupcake notices Star and lunges at her to protect Charlotte (this could be possible as we don’t know the extent of Cupcake’s abilities). Star overpowers Cupcake, throws them to the ground, and stomps their face into oblivion. Meanwhile, Charlotte finds something to try to defend herself, but stops at the horrifying sight in front of her. Cupcake’s dead body, face nearly smashed in. Charlotte, in a fit of grief stricken rage, attacks Star and slits her throat. Charlotte, realizing what she has done, drags her body to a different location, hides the weapon, puts the scissors next to Star to make them believe it was the murder weapon, ran to her dorm without being noticed, changes clothes, and went on living as usual, struck with guilt over her murder. And that’s how I think Charlotte, the ultimate motivator, killed Star. Now Charlotte isn’t my #1 pick for the culprit. I think two other people are more likely to be the culprit, but other people have explained why and/or how they could have done it These are just my thoughts on how a very unlikely candidate for the killer could have done it EDIT: apparently the thing on the left of the screen isn’t Cupcake, it’s just the kitchen tiles… and that’s why you don’t listen to me lol Though it still doesn’t rule out my Charlotte idea, Cupcake’s body could be hidden somewhere But again, don’t listen to me
I thought that was broken glass on the left, not Cupcake, but I guess it kinda looks like them. Also, the theory does make some sense, but I don't think I fully agree with it, some things just come to mind to why it may not be the case.

You say not to expect much b/c you're just a group of two, but the production value's quite great?! You've got remixes, custom VA lines & quips, amazing CGs, and your sprites remain true to their original styles without clashing or seeming out of place with the environment. I haven't finished the episode yet, but I still have a hard time believing this was the work of two people and some on-and-off volunteers; the fangan's receiving a lot of praise, so I hope you're giving yourselves more credit! P.S. I appreciate using the map as a transition between rooms!

I will admit, I had my doubts about this project, but seeing things like Ronpa and Friends has opened my eyes to the endless possibilities people can do with Fanganronpas. I applaud everyone who was involved this project: the artists, the VAs, everyone. You've all done your homework to making the characters feel like their cannon counterparts (I'm not too familiar with Making Fiends, Star, or Gravity Falls, but I know enough), as well as providing a good mystery. Spoilers ahead. . . . I honestly didn't think that person was going to be the first to go. I saw them sticking around for a lot longer. I don't think Cartman is the blackened in this case. It's too early for a shit starter like him. Those characters usually last until Case 3/5 (looking at you, Celeste, Kokichi, Nagito). As much as I'd like for him to be the guilty party, suspicions are on Blossom or Mabel. . . Blossom said she'd do anything to protect everyone, inside and outside the school. You saw how she was falling into despair when the first motive was shown. When she voluntarily went along with the second, you could tell she was beyond her breaking point. As for why they'd choose Star? That I'm too sure on. Yeah, she's seen as annoying, but that's more extraterrestrial curiosity than anything. Real reasoning? Desperation. Star was out past curfew and Blossom took her chances. . . As for Mabel, I get the feeling she'd do anything to make sure Waddles stays alive. Not only that, there's the scissors. I couldn't have been the only one who noticed the pair in her room looked extremely identical to the ones in her lab. One could easily modify them to look like the Dimensional Scissors - especially with her talent. As for why she'd choose Star? Easy target. . . God, please let me be wrong.
Here is my analasys of the body discovery (spoilers obviously): Clues: -Star has a cut on her throat, wich is probably the cause of death. -Her scissors are probably not the murder weapon, since they are completely clean. The killer could also have washed them. -Looking at the bloodstains, shows that the body has been dragged. Presumably from behind the table to the front of it. Star might have also moved on her own. My theory of what happened: It all started with the first motive. Star showed no reaction to Marco being in the video. I was confused at first and I thought that she might have forgotten him somehow, but now I think that from the moment she saw him, she was thinking of murder. Now im gonna talk about the shadowy figure, that dipper saw while he was in the nurses office. I think that was Charlotte going to the kitchen to look after cupcake. Meanwhile, Dipper falls asleep and during that time, Star sees Charlotte getting a knife to cut food for feeding Cupcake. Seeing, that she has a chance, Star gets her scissors to kill Charlotte. Charlotte notices this and accidentally hurts Star with the knife she got. Star crawls from behind the table, where she got stabbed, to the front of it. As soon as she does that, Star Bleeds out and dies. Charlotte panics and runs away. Im very ecxited for how accurate I am when the deadly life part releases. Feel free to tell me your own theory and/or say what you think of mine. Just please don't be rude.
I also believe that it could be Mabel, as Star could have easily pulled a Sayaka Maizono incident. Mabel dying also has a chance for Dib to become the protagonist’s helper (like kyoko, chiaki, maki/kaede). It can also help develop both characters
Okay, so I think I've got a sliver of understanding tied to all of this. Don't click that "Read More" if you don't want to be spoiled. So, Star is the first death. This leads to a few different candidates, but I've got two big ones and then a minor unlikely one. First off, Mabel. Other than Bubbles, Mabel seemed to be one of the students most effected by the motive hostages, so it'd make sense for her to succumb to Monokuma's game and cause a death to save her pig. She could also function as Dipper's reassurance that all of this is in fact real and being the trigger that pushes him into his true protag potential after the chapter ends. Her execution could also probably grant Dipper some more character development. And second off, Blossom. Blossom seemed like an "I know best" character from the start of the chapter, and in fear of losing one of the hostages and failing to protect someone, and in turn feeling like she herself caused a death, may have killed Star in order to save the hostages and her sister from doom. Her execution as the ultimate team leader will make sure that the other students know that no one can really be trusted, and that even those with the strongest will can break and crumble. Her execution might also give Bubbles some character development, whether it gives way for her to be the next victim/blackened, or it might even make her a bit more serious about everything happening. As for the unlikely one, Jenny. Jenny seemed like a friend of Star's seeing how many times the duo showed up as just that- a duo. And earlier in the chapter, Star did say that Jenny didn't answer the door when she knocked. This might hint at the duo being broken up in one way or another. And Jenny's mom is also a hostage, so in order to save her mom, Jenny may have killed Star, but that's just speculation, and I honestly don't think the killer is gonna be Jenny. Her execution might provide a bit of development for Blossom and Bubbles, seeing how a superhero just like them caved in, but I just find it unlikely. And as a bonus, Cupcake may have something to do with the murder, since she's always left in the kitchen as Charlotte claims. My question is, if Cupcake was responsible for the murder, would that leave Charlotte accountable? Now I'm also going to disprove some characters. I'll just jot down two. I feel that Dipper wouldn't be the first killer. One, he seems hard to replace him. Other than Dib, no one else would make for a good protagonist. Two, Dipper IS the protagonist, and unless we are doing a protag-swap like in V3, it's highly unlikely that Dipper will be the one responsible for this murder. Also, Dipper was just about incompacitated for about the entire night, and it was still hard for him to go out and about in the morning, so I find it hard for him to have killed Star in that state. I also think that Cartman won't be the first killer. He seems like the character that will focus on making the trials more difficult, so he needs to stay around for that, at least up until chapter 5. He's also been under Kyle's watchful eye, so it'd be hard for him to murder someone while he's consistently being watched. Plus, if it was to be Cartman, I don't think he would've been able to win a fight against Star, specifically because of her size compared to Cartman's. Here's some side-notes about the murder. -I don't think the scissors are the murder weapon. They don't have blood on them, first off, and second, I feel like the scissors would be used to hide the real weapon. Sort of a relation-by-distance sort of thing. Though I think that Star may have attempted to use them for self-defense, seeing how she looks to only have one cut across her throat. -The murder may have been a suicide? Star may have put her own life up for grabs in order to make sure that no one else would be put up to killing someone. So, she slit her throat, washed off the weapon she used, and dragged herself over to the front of the counter, though I find this unlikely since Dipper caught someone running down the hall. So the murder may have taken place some time at 11:30 to 12:00am. -Star was dragged around quite a lot, and seems to have either lost a lot of blood, or perhaps caused a lot of blood to be lost. Perhaps she managed to fight back after she was attacked, and while she died in the process, she injured her attacker? If I'm being honest, it seems strange and unlikely that the killer simply dragged their victim around the counter, unless they were trying to flaunt the kill. And now for some roles. -Dipper is of course our protagonist. -Cartman might be this fangan's Byakuya/Nagito/Kokichi, as he consistently strikes up trouble and makes the trials progressively harder to solve. -Dib might act as the fangan's Kyoko/Co-Protagonist, as he seems to be the one closest to Dipper, the protagonist, at this current point, and one of the smartest characters as of now as well. -Ed seems like the Nekomaru/Gonta of this fangan, as he's not that bright, though he does prove his worth with his strength. He may die in chapter 4, as Sakura, Nekomaru, and Gonta did. -Bubbles will be a survivor, I can near guarantee it. She's the softest of the group, and can be put to tears easily, so she'll be making friends and losing them as the story goes on, ending up with her being in the final 5 or 6, unless Cheesy is going for an actual last-man-standing with this, which I sorta find unlikely. -Star... honestly seemed like fodder, or "filler" as Cartman put it, as if she would be someone who looked like they would definitely be dying at some point, and that it'd just depend on a single trigger event that their deaths would take place. Someone like Chihiro. And those are all the theories I have so far. See you in the next installment.
Vendetta had to have done it. 1) She’s evil. 2) She could reasonably scavenge for ingredients to make a fiend to disarm Star and kill her. 3) With her reaction to seeing Grudge chained up at 2:39:21, it seems like she wants to get to the bottom of this. 4) She hates anything cutesy, which is Star to a T. True, Charlotte exists, but Vendetta probably thinks that would be too easy, and killing Star would provide more of a challenge for her. 5) She clearly has the cunning to, say, lure Star into the kitchen where the fiend is. 6) It’s likely she doesn’t want to get upstaged by Monokuma. Here’s what I think happened (More or Less): Vendetta went into Star’s room, saying that there was a cute creature in the kitchen waiting for her. When Star went into the room, it turns out the “Cuddly Creature” was actually a fiend. Star tried fighting back, but the fiend overpowered her and slit her throat. Vendetta placed the scissors next to Star just to throw everyone off. Dang that was a mouthful :/
My thoughts and theories: 1. Star knows Marco was kidnapped, she isn't stupid, I think her luring her killer in may be plausible since she acted deep in thought about his kidnapping, and seemed to be trying to get jenny and maybe mabel alone in the kitchen the previous day before dipper and dib got there EDIT: I just thought, maybe she just lost her memory of her time on earth prior to the school and truly didn't know who he was. 2. Cartman 100% ate something from the microwave to make him tell the truth when asked questions, I also think Cartman would have been the most likely 1st person to find the body, followed by Charlotte 3. Speaking of those 2, I really doubt either of them, nor Dipper or Dib are the killer: - Dipper was half dead and could barely move until the announcement - Dib had literally no reason to kill, and he's definitely important to the plot later - Cartman is too important to the plot, and he would be a waaay too obvious killer. I do think he played a role, probably found the body first without telling anyone, and tried to cover it up bc he knew hed be suspected, but hes definitely not the real killer - Charlotte had no motive and would not have fought back if lured into the kitchen, she probably finds the body 2nd, bc her cat fiend is in there Next we have the Powerpuffs and Jenny. Like a lot of people have said Jenny is definitely a strong candidate, but if indeed these 3 have alibis and were still getting their powers removed, then theyre out. (We don't exactly know when dipper woke up the 2nd time, it could be way later than 12 and they'd easily be free by then) Regardless though, I'd still personally mark off Bubbles as a suspect no matter what, I don't see her being the killer despite motive, it'd be blossom if either of the 2. Following them now we're going totally off my own opinions, in which case, Ed wouldn't kill, Eddy would have to be the Kokichi to his Gonta there, and I don't see that being a plotline in chapter 1 Next we have the characters who don't really have much of a connection to Star or the kitchen, we're into the category of actual suspects here, but these are more the wildcards who I don't specifically distrust unless they were in the wrong place at the wrong time: Gaz, Zim, Kyle, Eddy|| Next we have the characters who don't really have much of a connection to Star or the kitchen, we're into the category of actual suspects here, but these are more the wildcards who I don't specifically distrust unless they were in the wrong place at the wrong time: Gaz, Zim, Kyle, Eddy And so we're left with 5 more major suspects, so from least to most likely IMO: 5. Vendetta: Vendetta is certainly very capable of murder, and is often in the kitchen bc fiend making, making her very susceptible to being at the wrong place at the wrong time here. I don't see her killing outright unprovoked though, she doesn't have THAT big of a motive with her hamster who she seems to only mildly care about. She is also bery disconnected from star and story wise she'd be a less thematic killer than my final 4 4. Morty: Morty is like, the #1 character I can see just freaking out and killing someone randomly out of anxiety. This coupled with him, Dipper (who is innocent), and maybe Mabel? being the only 2 to really believe in Star's dimensional scissors actually working, makes it sorta suspicious that she had them on her in the event that she wasn't trying to use them as a weapon or to escape. Morty could have easily asked to see her alone regarding those scissors, and then one of them freaked the fuck out and tried to use them to escape before killing the other. Once again, not as thematic as the final 3, but itd be interesting enough to have happened and still be a satisfying conclusion 3. Jenny: As many have already pointed out Jenny and Star were quite close, and if indeed Star was trying to lure someone in, Jenny was her first candidate. There are quite a few issues with this however, first off Jenny is a superhero and a robot and Star knows this, Star without her wand would stand absolutely 0 chance against her in a fight superpowers or not so why pick her? Second, Jenny didn't want to come with Star to the kitchen the day before, so why would she here, third Jenny still might have been getting nerfed by monokuma during the murder, fourth is the way Star died really the way Jenny would kill someone? It feels like stabbing wouldn'tbe Jenny's preferred form of attack. If it were Jenny, it'd have to be bc she was done being nerfed and on her own accord lured Star in herself to save her mom from being executed, a motive many other characters also share. 2. Blossom: I'll be honest, if it weren't for the possibly having an alibi, Blossom is easily my #1 suspect. It just makes do much thematic sense. She's the confident self proclaimed team leader but grows more and more hopeless as the chapter goes on, even to the point of looking panicked. She also has a big motive with her sister being kidnapped and hurt. It'd make for an interesting plot to have the biggest motivator end up the killer, similar to v3. Another potential motive is that if Star was trying to escape, or was freaking out and trying to kill someone else, Blossom would easily be the first to step in and try to stop that from happening. The only 2 things keeping her from being my #1 are her potential alibi, and the fact that she doesn't have a particular relstionship with star. 1. Mabel: The obvious choice, but Mabel is a pretty combination of the above 3 - She had a pre existing relationship with Star and would've been easily lured out, even maybe having been before the boys arrived the previous day. - She had a big motive to kill on her own if she were the one to start things, first her pet pig was kidnapped and may have been killed, and second (I don't really see anyone mention this), she may have thought she just saw her twin brother die too, which REALLY may have pushed her over the edge. - Lastly, she would be one of the most thematiccally reasonable killers. She's the closest person to the main character, and would give him a lot of character development similar to dr 1 and v3. On a similar note, that whole close to the main character caricature usually either dies very early, very late, or survives. So unless theres somd very unexpected plotlines to come, I think she and dipper are the only characters confined to those tropes, unlike anyone else.

@@topaz2143 I honestly think it's Jenny based around how she has been acting during Daily Life (and based around how the other characters usually act) and I honestly believe the motive of seeing her mother may have caused her to kill since she is given the choice of either sacrificing these people she has known only for a few day or let her mother die
OK sorry I'm currently watching through this, and am only up to this episode, so NO SPOILERS PLEASE, but I can't help but notice. Dipper's hat. As far as I can recall, we never get to see a Dipper sprite AFTER he wakes up in the school, and Mabel comments on it that it look better than the old one?? We SEE his old one in his room, so what could this mean??? And why AREN'T we seeing Dipper sprites?? Is this a VLR type scenario?!?!
I said that this chapter would be worth the wait and it has, in spades in my honest opinion!! XD This chapter was awesome, great, phenomenal and other praise filled words I can give it but I can't think of at the moment. It was another master piece in my opinion, and I understand you and your friend are the only ones working on this(coding and writing wise) along with helping hands of your amazing VA talents bring beloved cartoon characters to life thus mistakes and not great quality might be expected. But honestly I don't think that's the case cuz I didn't seem to notice any of the mistakes you listed in the comments while watching the chapter nor think the quality in pacing, story progression, character art, art in general, voice stuff and stuff was of great quality in my opinion. You and your team deserve an award for this chapter with all the good work you paced into this entertaining chapter, along with the time stuff and problem stuff popping up making things difficult for ya but still able to get this master work out at a reasonable time for us fans and letting us know in a timely matter if it's up or not and why is... just fantastic. You are a fantastic trooper, you and your team Cheesy. :) Everything was prefect for a follow up to this Danganronpa project. The pacing and story beats where consistent, letting each crumb of the mystery, referance to a cartoon, joke and character interaction flow natural like and gives us fans something to react to in a great way and timely manner. The jokes and gags where really done well, the delivery and quick fire nature of some are just prefect and made me laugh hard. Plus it's in keeping with some of the characters from each series style of humor too, which is amazing attention to detail. My fav jokes are Eddy getting sent up in the air by an excited Ed and crashing on the ground, Monokuma trying to make a grand entrance again but falling again and blowing up into pieces and finally the Mabel death fake out making Dipper jump at Mabel popping outta her room suddenly freaking him out. The character interactions again happen naturally, with good dialogue that feels like something these characters would say to each other if they met in some cartoon crossover of there series too. The great highlight of this is the misadventures in free time events with Dipper interacting with Jen, Eddy and Zim. The story itself plays out really awesomely, like I stated before it flows naturally giving us bits of info to the mystery and character bonding in some way to grow. Plus it flips the Danganronpa style of story a bit and our fan expectations in a cleverest of ways, like the seemly the memory loss on some characters like Star not knowing who Marco was or the showing everyone a loved one in danger after Monokuma is bored of no one killing each other but all at once instead of just individually by dvd watching in the auto room or doing two motives in the same chapter which to my limited knowledge hasn't happen in a Danganronpa thing that I know of. Its great twists you made on the formula of a franchise you using, plus the interesting twists to us fan expectations on having the first victim be Star and ending the chapter itself at her death was well done too. Overall this chapter you made is a great start to the series, setting up distrust between the students, doing secret hiding from each other, Monokuma making everyone's life miserable and being an annoying but funny bear to watch, mystery bits that we fans can think on, collectable stull like the doll/game hud stuff that makes it feel like Danganronpa and everything else that made this chapter awesome. I know I missed a ton of stuff to praise you and your team done in this comment about this chapter, there is so many but no doubt your many other fans of this amazing fan project will point them out and praise ya rightly so. I can't wait to see what else will happen in the next chapter, no doubt it'll be more amazing and answer the questions set up her that I and maybe some other fans have, like is Everyone loves Kuma from Kablam being a replacement to Monokuma theater, well there be more Kablam stuff in the series in the future, how class trails work in your series with your own twists to it, will those secret stuff Dib and Dip be out in the open at some point, what other memories have the characters maybe lost, how many more dolls are there to collect and who murdered Star? But that no doubt will be answered later, cuz you all need a rest after all that hard work you guys done. So relax and enjoy the fruits of ya labors, you guys deserve it. There are a few notable errors throughout the video that I'm aware of:
- 1:18:38 (The text for the music on the side doesn't disappear with the rest of the banner)
- 1:43:01 (The old cafeteria portrait is in the background, rather than the new one. Actually have no idea how that could've even happened)
- 2:30:10 (One of the dolls is missing)
- 3:17:26 (One of the characters doesn't have their portraits blacked out when leaving the scene)
- 3:41:50 (The head for the map screen randomly appears, no idea how that happened)
- Sometimes transitioning into the cafeteria doesn't have the screen fade in like it's supposed to, this is an error that happens occasionally when rendering large files in Vegas.
- Certain scenes are also just missing miscellaneous voice cues. Hard to notice, but it's typically whenever there's a long stretch of time with no soundbyte accompanying characters.
Listing these so that the majority of comments aren't "Hey, you did the thing wrong!", this stuff is bound to happen sometimes, especially given the runtime of the video and the things that happen when rendering large files. Trying another attempt and rendering would require waiting for like, another day and that's not worth it to me~
So yeah, ignore these and hope you enjoy the video regardless

I'm gonna call it, Bill Cipher is the Master Mind, since he's in a portrait with Monokuma.
Or potentially he's the true Mastermind behind the mastermind behind the invasion/killing game.
My immediate thought when I watched the first one, knowing that Zim’s in this, was that maybe Zim is the mastermind…
The color scheme was very pink and techy, as well as the world ending event being called “The Invasion”, something Zim says and threatens (ex: the many times he has said ‘The Irken Invasion’ or ‘The Invasion’). Not to mention that what caused the end of the world wasn’t from earth and were very obviously aliens.
I was doubting myself when he started to try to call the Tallest in the bathroom before he saw that Dipper was there, but it would be very in-character for Zim to also erase his own memories of it to try and remain inconspicuous, despite the fact you kinda need to remember when you are supposed to be in charge of something. He would very easily make that oversight.
Sorry for rambling about this when you probably won’t care, it’s just that most people probably wouldn’t have caught onto this since I haven’t seen anyone talk about the *Invader Zim* section of the cast yet and I wanted to share my thoughts :]
@razzmatazz185 Well in Dipper's profile when it talks about daily life, it says that the thing Dipper saw go downstairs was a cloaked figure, so most likely hinting at the mastermind being someone not among the students.
Plus the videos called, "Talents" and "Prologue prologue", suggest the mastermind being someone who was rejected by the school and most likely part of the reserve course(which did get mentioned in the beginning of the trial) and potentially the hajime/izuru of this universe.(would make sense why they'd have a good amount of knowledge of the school, if they were a part of an experiment done by the school)
My theory is that the picture in the dining hall that keeps changes, is hinting at who the mastermind(s) are. The mastermind got help from Bill Cipher and took advantage of certain students talents. Maybe even banished the school's alumni to make the bodychanging monsters and then replaced the alumni with the monsters and adding most of the real person's memories in the monsters.
Those are my theories, based on what I've seen so far in the story.
@@lavenderrose82 that's a great theory, I'm definitely going to try to keep that in mind throughout the rest of the series. My first theory wasn't too thought out because it's late rn, but I had an idea/theory that i wanted to share - even though it only had 5 minutes of sleep deprived thought behind it - and it involved one of my favorite characters in the cast who wasn't getting talked about that much, which makes sense as Invader Zim is one of the older shows in this.
I've never actually tried theorizing about something like this before, and sharing it + getting some feedback with another theory felt really nice, so thank you for reading my rambling :]

Ah so many people dropped spoilers for Danganronpa in this comment section! I hope you don’t mind too much. In their defense it’s because most people absorb the main content before entering a fangan (gotta watch/play Danganronpa 1 Danganronpa 2 and Danganronpa V3 at least. The 2 animes, Ultra Despair girls, and the novels the mangas are extra canon content).
And in this case the Danganronpa content is more niche than the cartoon characters so it’s unexpected that a non-DR fan would engage here but I guess since it’s new nostalgic content with good writing and voice acting, here you are! Welcome! And I’m glad you’re enjoying it.
(SPOILERS BELOW) - Don't read past the 'Read More' if do not wish to be spoiled
So Star Butterfly is our first casualty of Monokuma's Mutual Killing Game, and to be quite honest, and this may upset / bother some people, but... I think Star Butterfly was the safest first victim that they could have gone with, and I mean that in the nicest way possible, I don't have any qualms about it. Star Butterfly was among my top 3 candidates to die first (Blossom & Vendetta were the other two in case you were wondering), but it makes a lot of sense to kill her off first, without her magic, she pretty much had no role to play really, she's a goofy optimist, traits that many other characters can fill the role of, and in my opinion; other characters can fill said role better. NO I am not hating on Star or the show, but from my perspective, I think every character has a role to play, even the most normal of the bunch; Morty & Kyle, but Star is that one character I kept asking myself "What would Star Butterfly's role be beyond the first trial", and I struggled to think of a potential story arc and role she could play. Also the moment Star Butterfly didn't react to Marco being a hostage, I had a feeling she was a goner, she has no memory of Marco, which got me wondering, why is she the outlier in this scenario? Why is she the only one who doesn't have any memory of the hostage tied to her? That's when I thought they were about to kill her off in order to prevent us the audience from learning what could be crucial evidence to understanding the story.
Okay I'm off to re-watch this masterpiece of a fangan project a few more times, I'll be taking notes this time, and that could take a while, but once I'm done, I'm gonna leave one HELL of a long list gushing over my thoughts, addressing references / Easter eggs, and pointing out potential clues and theories I have, and all that good stuff.
To ThatCheesyBastard and every other talented individual involved in this fantastic project; you all should be very proud at what you have accomplished here, it truly is masterful work.

I just have one question, who do you think could have been Star's killer? My money is on Mabel because it just kinda feels right to me. Mabel would absolutely kill for waddles because we know how depressed she was when she didn't have him in the carnival episode.
@@neal334 While i agree with Mable being a heavy hitter for the first killer of the trial, it also makes you think… Why did the killer, kill AFTER 12? We can tell it is after 12 because the “supposed” killer is walking away from the kitchen at around that time. Which leads me to MY conclusion! Being that the killer… has nothing to gain from this kill, but Freedom! In my opinion, this takes off:

Morty (i’m iffy on that. I doubt the sight of a portal gun would make him kill.)
With this, that leaves the possible killers being: Gaz, Dib, Dipper, and Charlotte. We can Cross Dipper off from this list because he was unconscious at the time (Plus he is the protagonist)
With all this, my prediction is that the killer is either Dib, Gaz, or Charlotte.
@@neal334 - Unfortunately we have very little to go off of to be able to discern who the culprit could be, I have some guesses but next to no evidence whatsoever to back up my guesses, my guesses are Blossom, Bubbles, Jenny & Eddy, but I'm willing to dismiss Jenny & Eddy because those are just hunches based on nothing, Bubbles I'll explain further down, but Blossom, while everyone has a motive to kill, Blossom being a killer would be a serious blow to the group's morale, the 'Team Leader' character killing someone isn't something we've seen before in the series, BUT the only thing that makes me doubt that Blossom is the killer, is that I highly doubt she would kill someone to save Buttercup if it meant Bubbles would be at risk of being killed, if it were the other way around, then yes, I think she would kill someone to save Bubbles. Bubbles I could see being the culprit for much of the same reasons as Blossom, but unlike Blossom, I don't think Bubbles would understand the magnitude of what she's done, and may have killed without really thinking it through, she could have acted impulsively upon realizing that time was running out, but what hurts her potential as the culprit is that she's not the smartest, covering her tracks would require assistance, which I could see Blossom doing in order to protect her sister, but also Bubbles is just too nice of a character to commit a murder. From a story perspective though, Bubbles commiting murder would be a serious blow to Blossom, not wanting to accept that her sweet kindhearted sister would kill, actively defending and denying all of Bubble's action, honestly Bubbles would do the same for Blossom now that I think of it, nevertheless Blossom would be devasted and broken at having to witness the execution of her sweet innocent sister to the point Blossom quickly neglects her 'Team Leader' status and the morale of the group starts to crumble. So Blossom & Bubbles are my primary suspects at the moment, but that may change across subsequent viewings, but let's go over every other character, one-by-one to be thorough.
Honestly I think we can automatically remove Zim, Vendetta & Cartman from the suspect list just because it would be too obvious that one of the three most evil characters would be the first to commit a murder. Ed... nah, the guy is just too pure to commit a murder on purpose, nor would he be smart enough to hide it without assistance, same goes for Charlotte. Kyle, now Kyle I could go either way with here, Kyle has always served as a constant foil to Cartman, in a sense, they're rivals, and Kyle always has the moral high ground between the two, but Kyle ain't no saint either, he can be a hypocrite and at times thinks he's the most knowledgeable, mature and morale person, when there are plenty of episodes that prove he isn't as good a person as he thinks he is, BUT because he's stuck there with Cartman, I believe Kyle would feel compelled to stick to his core values and progress through the game without dirtying his hands just to prove a point that he is the better person, the rivalry Cartman & Kyle have, I think keeps Kyle safe for a while. Dib & Gaz I feel are too important to kill off too soon, and have the least incentive to kill, but because of that I could see Gaz being a surprise killer, and doing it 'just because no one else had the brains or guts to do it'. Morty is another character I don't think has much of an incentive to kill, he's always had a rocky relationship with Rick, at multiple times admitting just how horrible a person he is, and at times, it feels like he wants Rick dead (Granted I'm not up-to-date on Rick & Morty so their relationship could be healthier in Season 4 & 5... but I doubt it).
And then there was Mabel, while I see both sides of the argument, and yes Mabel would be selfish enough to kill just for Waddles, plus the way Mabel behaved in the lead-up episode to the Weirdmaggeddon trilogy of episodes, especially Weirdmaggeddon part 2, shows just how much of an ungrateful selfish brat she can be, especially toward Dipper... but I'm still not entirely sure she would commit a murder, BUT there is bit of evidence that makes her quite suspicious, and that is... why was she not in the Nurses Office with Dipper after being hurt by Monokuma? Seems like something a good sister would do, staying at your brothers side while he's recovering, and why would Mabel even think it was a good idea to leave Dipper in the Nurses Office ALONE when the threat of murder is at an all time high??? This just highlights Mabel's selfishness, BUT we also don't know what was going on around that time, as in what happened directly after the Gymnasium Incident with Monokuma and the girls. It's easy to suspect Mabel for not being there for Dipper, but we don't yet know what was happening elsewhere, regardless however she is pretty suspicious, BUT I have a theory how the story is going to pan out, and I mean when we're nearing the end, I think Cartman is going to capture Dipper, hide him away and restrain him, with the intention of killing him, but before he's about to kill Dipper, his attention is brought elsewhere, he leaves and shortly afterwards we hear the Body Discovery Announcement, the remaining survivors rush in to free Dipper, and in another room; Cartman lies dead, and through the triall we learn that Mabel killed Cartman to save Dipper.
Sorry this comment is so damn long, but when my brain starts to churn, it's like a long dark rabbit hole of ideas and theorizing, also sorry if there's a lot of errors & mistakes in my long-winded comment, I'm currently running on 12 hours worth of sleep in the past 5 days :(

About the culprits, Mabel and Bloosom (red one, brazilian ehre) are one of the most suspects to me.
Mabel here is the strongest candidate for first culprit. But I was leaning towards Blossom before the murder took place.
Bubbles is a good candidate as well, she wouldn’t be too good to cover her bases and hide her tracks (which is perfectly fine for a first trial tbh), but I can see why she would do it.
Then there’s Dib and Gaz. I don’t think Dib will be it, he will be way too important… However I can see Gaz being it as well, but it’s unlikely.
It can’t be Cartman since it’s too obvious and usually the disruptive one of the group tends to go very far, almost to the point of surviving.
Watched it live and gave it a rewatch- This was an amazing watch and made me both laugh and afraid at the same time! It really did feel like I was watching a cartoon at times, you really got a good hold on the humor and gags to make it more visually interesting to watch to make it stand out. Every joke landed for me, and I even caught a few references here and there (I saw what you were doing with the Psycho Eddy thing there you sly piece of cheese >:y)
The whole way through I had no idea who to expect to die first and was really shocked with the first victim! I already have a bunch of preeictions and theories but it's definitely really early to stick with anything..
Major props Cheese, the wait was worth it! Also special shoutout to the VA for Dipper, before I was somewhat nervous about your performance but you really settled into the role here and outdid yourself, especially with the ending segments. Y'know, Blossom's idea is pretty agreeable on the spectrum of Dangans, considering Tsurugi Kinjo from DRA1 had the same idea.
Too bad they ended up with the same end result-
Here's just some random hopes and ideas I have for this episode and beyond:
When the group comes together to discuss their strategy for escaping Hopes Peak, I think it would make a lot of sense if characters like Jenny, Star, Morty, Blossom & Bubbles and Kyle & Cartman speculate how they believe villains from their places of origin could be behind this. The whole time they're discussing this, Mabel somewhat worriedly ask "Dipper? You... you don't think... Bill could be behind all this?" grabbing the attention of the rest of the characters, and Dipper is forced to go over the horrors & atrocities that Bill Cipher has committed, explaining just how evil and powerful he was, to the point even Blossom & Bubbles are unnerved by this, but Dipper also explains that Bill was defeated and essentially wiped from existence, but Cartman or anybody really, points out how his Grunkle Stan was able to regain his memories, and how if that was possible... whose to say Bill Cipher couldn't return as well? The very thought frightens both Dipper & Mabel.
I also think at some point, Kyle should warn the group of just how truly evil Cartman is, warning them NOT to underestimate Cartman and his capacity for malice, and stir discord, pointing out how deceptively cunning and manipulative he can be to ensure he gets his way. At first most of them just assume Kyle just has a grudge against Cartman, which he doesn't deny, but Kyle then tells them of all the truly horrendous things Cartman has done, including how he killed Scott Tenorman's parents, grounded them up into chilli and fed it to him, just because he made Cartman look like a fool, this revelation horrifies most, but intrigues Zim & Vendetta.
That's all I got for now, SUPER excited for Chapter 1, I know it's going to be incredible, and I'm especially looking forward to many-a discussion that will be had after it ends.

Ok so we can all agree this chapter is absolutely… wonderful, just wonderful. I swear, you captured the feeling of not just Danganronpa, but the cartoons featured in this fangan brilliantly. But here’s a little something I don’t think anyone’s talked about yet:
*What does the title mean?*
The title of Cartoons in Danganronpa, Chapter 1 is “Something’s Cooking, Always Looking.” But what does that title mean to the chapter itself?
At first I assumed “Something’s Cooking” meant Cartman, since he IS in the thumbnail, and “Always Looking” meant Monokuma’s cameras, or Monokuma himself, or the mastermind. One of the three.
And I still think that that’s what “Always Looking” means, but what about “Something Cooking”?
Well, what if it means the placement of Star’s body- in the kitchen? That’s probably what it means, but here’s another theory I have:
What if the first part of the title is referring not to Cartman, not to the placement of the body, but to Cupcake, Charlotte’s new pet Fiend? (if you can call her that, I’m not sure how it works with Making Fiends, I didn’t grow up with that show)
Something’s Cooking definitely works with that, we literally SAW Cupcake being made in a mixing bowl in the prologue.
Hell, Always Looking works with it- Cupcake is in the kitchen most of the time, and unless she was somewhere else during the murder, she would have seen basically everything that went down in there.
Needless to say, if the investigation involves Dipper interrogating a Fiend (probably with SOME assistance from Vendetta, she IS the expert on Fiends after all) then this will officially be the world’s most underrated Fangan.
Cartman is definitely a Nagito Kinnie- Or Kokichi lol
But I really like how Cartman acts, it makes sense, especially because of his character, I wouldn’t put it past him to go crazy just like Nagito or Kokichi.

So after watching this video, I have to say this is probably the best Fangan I have ever seen. You really outdid yourself with this, Cheesy.
Love this! I'm currently working on my own Fanganronpa (it's a secret, lol, be on the lookout for that) and this helped me come up with ways to make my presentation and style much better. Really excited to follow this! I feel like some scenes were a bit too long, but that's just how Danganronpa is, haha. Thoughts on the ending are below...
It's very strange that Star is the first victim, especially with how they were setting up a mystery about how she doesn't recognize Marco. I really hope there's some payoff for that, I can't imagine how that plotline could continue unless it's somehow uncovered in the investigation. Was absolutely expecting it to be Blossom due to the ol' "leader dies first" thing Danganronpa tends to do, haha.
I have to say, this is absolutely mindblowing. I wasn't expecting much from such a hectic crossover, but this series are actually top quality. You made this mashup of worlds work, and created its own lore and mysteries. I love every part of it.
Shoutout to the artist of the series too, must be a lot of work to adhere to each show's style.
Also I appreciate Zim's voice, Lee Daniels, a lot. Sounds exactly like him.
So, about this chapter's motive, it kinda irks me that having 1 hostage for 2 participants doesn't work. If one of them tries to save the hostage by killing, they have to sacrifice the other friend in a trial, which makes it a moot point. I guess this doesn't apply much to Eric/Kyle, but it's absolutely the case for Blossom/Bubbles and Ed/Eddie.
This motive is in general largely unequal, which makes list of suspects very narrow. I think Jenny got the shortest end of the stick here, since her hostage is a member of her family.
Also I absolutely did not expect Star to be the first victim. I thought it'd be Mabel for sure, color me surprised

Good shit Cheesy! This was definitely worth the wait.
The quality was through the roof. Shoutouts to the VAs, they all did a great job. It really did feel like a Danganronpa game, both with the UI elements and with the overall tone of the story. With all these wacky cartoon characters, I think you did a great job at making them all tonally consistent with each other. I also really like how you’re utilizing a ton of different cartoons with the dolls and gifts, it’s fun to see characters that didn’t make the cut for the actual game. I do wonder if there’s a story reason for that (maybe the dolls represent characters that didn’t make the talent course for the school but are still enrolled?)
With that out of the way, theory time. I definitely did not see Star dying first. I thought for sure it was gonna be Mabel, Dib, or one of the super hero types, but this makes sense since Star doesn’t really contribute much without her magic.
As for the killer. Mabel and Jenny are at the top of my suspect list. They have the strongest connections to their hostages (besides arguably the Power Puffs, but I don’t see the killing first). It makes the most sense story wise to have it be Mabel since we’ll get some early character development for Dipper and it’ll remove his only “known saftey” within the school. Jenny on the other hand was super close to Star. If there’s anyone Star trusted, it would be Jenny. I also suspect that Jenny and the Powerpuffs aren’t gonna have air tight alibis just because of Monokuma nerfing them.
It obviously wasn’t Dipper since he was passed out. Cartman is being saved to cause some discord later, not to mention that everyone will already suspect him, so he’s out. Dib, Gaz, Zim, Kyle, Vendetta, Charlotte and Morty either don’t have hostages or most likely wouldn’t kill for their hostages (in Morty’s case, Rick was wasn’t even captured and I think he’s being saved for later). I could *maybe* see Eddy or Ed (after being ordered by Eddy) killing, but it’d be for a way shallower reason than saving Edd. And again, I don’t see one of the PPGs being the first to crack (though Blossom was definitely getting frustrated about how powerless she was, which might come into play).
And I’ll just throw in a quick prediction that Bill Cipher is controlling Prof. Membrane and making him host the killing game. He’s got the power to make an indestructible school and nullify dimensional scissors. Not to mention that Membrane would be one of the few people with the resources to kidnap all of the hostages. There was also a painting in the cafeteria where Monokuma and Bill were mirroring each other. My only worry is that it feels pretty obvious, would kinda of come out of nowhere story wise and it wouldn’t follow the “student that’s the mastermind” formula.
This is getting intense and serious and I'm on the edge of my seat I'm loving it so much

Honestly, Star was the safest bet or a victim. She doesn't really contribute anything to the team and honestly, she felt like a filler. Her talent isn't much of use, especially now that her wand isn't with her. Don't get me wrong, I love Star but her in Danganronpa, she doesn't really have a place.
NOW MURDER THEORIES
Dipper saw someone running at around 12:20am. I willing to bet the murder took place around that time as well. My guesses on who was running is either Star, the victim, the murderer, or an innocent student who saw the dead body. In the crime scene, at the left side, we can see some sort of vent? and metal pieces? scattered. Earlier on the video, we can see that Dipper's ultimate lab is connected to some secret passageway. What I'm thinking is that other student's ultimate lab has this feature? I'm thinking it's Star tbh. When the motive showed up, she had zero response on Marco, as if she doesn't recognizze him. What I'm thinking is she was actually planning a murder, explaining why she had scissors in hand. Her secret lab may be connected to the vent in the kitchen. It's also possible that the entrance of the lab is the vent itself? Since the exitways of the labs may all be connected to the painting, hence, why it changes from Monokuma to Professor Membrane. Maybe she tried to perform a surprise attack (Like Sayaka) but failed. Now for the suspects. I'm thinking it's Charlotte. She may have been feeding the black cat (I cant remember the name) but suddenly Star attacked making her fight or defend herself, which then sliced Star? I feel like the cut wasn't that deep and her cause of death was blood lost. I think she dragged herself trying to run away and get help but sadly failed. Charlotte may also be the first witness of the dead body and she may have been the one who was running away. Another suspect is Jenny. She has been with Star for a while and they have trust with each other. Maybe Star invited her to kill her but Jenny fought back and accidentally killed her instead? Jenny also fits? the size of the shadow that was running. Lastly, Mabel. You know how Danganronpa alwayys kills off someone close to the protag, meaning Mabel could be a potential killer, especially with the pig as the hostage. Either way, I think this murder was accidental with Star wanting to kill someone but ended up dying herself.
EDIT:
Honestly, aside from the first 3 to discover the body, no one's safe. Blossom and Bubbles would've been excluded since they fly but Monokuma kinda took those abilities away so yeah. NO ONE'S SAFE
Okay I take it back. Dipper, Dib, Charlotte, AND MAYBE VENDETTA may have less suspicion on them due to them not having a hostage or anyone that is majorly related to them.

I agree. A crossover with multiple cartoon characters in a Danganronpa game interacting with each other really brings back a lot of nostalgia, and feel like a dream come true. I really like how they chose Dipper as the main protagonist, as mystery seems to follow him everywhere he goes. Yeah, I was waiting to know who died at the end first, but for the most part, I was really just in it for the story. The first victim the writers chose was...... pretty unexpected, if I'm being honest.
Stayed up till 2 am to watch this and I had a blast watching this. Just hope you're not working yourself too hard. Wouldn't mind giving you any criticism if you're hoping to improve
I see you point out the flaws, but let me point out the good stuff
- The art is well done and used properly, many of the scenes looked cinematic and the characters faces are as exagerated as a what a cartoon
- I like the kablam bit, that was very well thoughout
-'UI' looked real as a Danganronpa game mockup
- The characters have the same personality as they are in their respective shows.
There are many other positives, as long as you fix the flaws and remember the positive, you should be A Ok.

I absolutely LOVE how long these segments are! What makes Danganronpa work imo is how we’re able to connect with each individual character through their own struggle and development, and having this much time poured into them only makes us closer to them, and eventually more emotional when some of them are inevitably killed off. Now of course some of us already have emotional attachment to these characters cause… they’re from childhood cartoons, but I digress. Amazing work! I hope you guys see this through!

Alright let me throw my hat in the ring and give a piece of evidence that most might’ve missed and a possible culprit that you might have not thought of and how they could’ve gotten away with it.
First things first, the evidence I found in the final shot, Cupcake is dead. You can see their head poking out on the left. They could also be knocked unconscious but I think their most likely dead. Which makes me believe that Cupcake witnessed the murder and the culprit killed them as well. Also I noticed that Cupcake’s head is sort of misshapen making me believe they were killed by getting stomped on. And while we can clearly see one of Star’s feet is clean, the other is hidden from sight… almost like it’s trying to hide something…
Also, like many other people noticed, the blood trail seems to imply that Star was dragged to her place in the kitchen. But what I noticed is that the blood trail seems to begin at the place where Cupcake is. Why is that relevant?
Well let’s shift focus onto Charlotte for a moment because I have some things to say about her…
Now quite a few people think Charlotte could be a killer in chapter 3. But I don’t think anyone would suspect her to be killer #1.
Allow me to introduce myself.
Charlotte would spend a lot of time in the kitchen because of Cupcake and she overall seems like the easiest to kill because of her weakness and stupidity. The perfect target for someone to swoop in and take her out.
Also Vendetta had mentioned that Cupcake was comparably nicer then other fiends and Cupcake did bite Vendetta so it could be possible that they would want to defend Charlotte if she were in danger
Also now that I bring her up, I think Vendetta would want to be literally anywhere else but with Charlotte possibly ruling her out as an obstacle in killing Charlotte
I think to better understand this theory better, I should piece together how I think this murder happened.
Star finds Charlotte in the kitchen with Cupcake, scissors in hand, ready to kill her. Cupcake notices Star and lunges at her to protect Charlotte (this could be possible as we don’t know the extent of Cupcake’s abilities). Star overpowers Cupcake, throws them to the ground, and stomps their face into oblivion. Meanwhile, Charlotte finds something to try to defend herself, but stops at the horrifying sight in front of her. Cupcake’s dead body, face nearly smashed in. Charlotte, in a fit of grief stricken rage, attacks Star and slits her throat. Charlotte, realizing what she has done, drags her body to a different location, hides the weapon, puts the scissors next to Star to make them believe it was the murder weapon, ran to her dorm without being noticed, changes clothes, and went on living as usual, struck with guilt over her murder.
And that’s how I think Charlotte, the ultimate motivator, killed Star.
Now Charlotte isn’t my #1 pick for the culprit. I think two other people are more likely to be the culprit, but other people have explained why and/or how they could have done it
These are just my thoughts on how a very unlikely candidate for the killer could have done it

Though it still doesn’t rule out my Charlotte idea, Cupcake’s body could be hidden somewhere

Also, the theory does make some sense, but I don't think I fully agree with it, some things just come to mind to why it may not be the case.

You say not to expect much b/c you're just a group of two, but the production value's quite great?! You've got remixes, custom VA lines & quips, amazing CGs, and your sprites remain true to their original styles without clashing or seeming out of place with the environment. I haven't finished the episode yet, but I still have a hard time believing this was the work of two people and some on-and-off volunteers; the fangan's receiving a lot of praise, so I hope you're giving yourselves more credit!

I will admit, I had my doubts about this project, but seeing things like Ronpa and Friends has opened my eyes to the endless possibilities people can do with Fanganronpas. I applaud everyone who was involved this project: the artists, the VAs, everyone. You've all done your homework to making the characters feel like their cannon counterparts (I'm not too familiar with Making Fiends, Star, or Gravity Falls, but I know enough), as well as providing a good mystery. Spoilers ahead.

I honestly didn't think that person was going to be the first to go. I saw them sticking around for a lot longer. I don't think Cartman is the blackened in this case. It's too early for a shit starter like him. Those characters usually last until Case 3/5 (looking at you, Celeste, Kokichi, Nagito). As much as I'd like for him to be the guilty party, suspicions are on Blossom or Mabel.

Blossom said she'd do anything to protect everyone, inside and outside the school. You saw how she was falling into despair when the first motive was shown. When she voluntarily went along with the second, you could tell she was beyond her breaking point. As for why they'd choose Star? That I'm too sure on. Yeah, she's seen as annoying, but that's more extraterrestrial curiosity than anything. Real reasoning? Desperation. Star was out past curfew and Blossom took her chances.

As for Mabel, I get the feeling she'd do anything to make sure Waddles stays alive. Not only that, there's the scissors. I couldn't have been the only one who noticed the pair in her room looked extremely identical to the ones in her lab. One could easily modify them to look like the Dimensional Scissors - especially with her talent. As for why she'd choose Star? Easy target.

Here is my analasys of the body discovery (spoilers obviously):
Clues:
-Star has a cut on her throat, wich is probably the cause of death.
-Her scissors are probably not the murder weapon, since they are completely clean. The killer could also have washed them.
-Looking at the bloodstains, shows that the body has been dragged. Presumably from behind the table to the front of it. Star might have also moved on her own.
My theory of what happened:
It all started with the first motive. Star showed no reaction to Marco being in the video. I was confused at first and I thought that she might have forgotten him somehow, but now I think that from the moment she saw him, she was thinking of murder. Now im gonna talk about the shadowy figure, that dipper saw while he was in the nurses office. I think that was Charlotte going to the kitchen to look after cupcake. Meanwhile, Dipper falls asleep and during that time, Star sees Charlotte getting a knife to cut food for feeding Cupcake. Seeing, that she has a chance, Star gets her scissors to kill Charlotte. Charlotte notices this and accidentally hurts Star with the knife she got. Star crawls from behind the table, where she got stabbed, to the front of it. As soon as she does that, Star Bleeds out and dies. Charlotte panics and runs away.
Im very ecxited for how accurate I am when the deadly life part releases. Feel free to tell me your own theory and/or say what you think of mine. Just please don't be rude.
I also believe that it could be Mabel, as Star could have easily pulled a Sayaka Maizono incident. Mabel dying also has a chance for Dib to become the protagonist’s helper (like kyoko, chiaki, maki/kaede). It can also help develop both characters
Okay, so I think I've got a sliver of understanding tied to all of this. Don't click that "Read More" if you don't want to be spoiled.
So, Star is the first death. This leads to a few different candidates, but I've got two big ones and then a minor unlikely one.
First off, Mabel. Other than Bubbles, Mabel seemed to be one of the students most effected by the motive hostages, so it'd make sense for her to succumb to Monokuma's game and cause a death to save her pig. She could also function as Dipper's reassurance that all of this is in fact real and being the trigger that pushes him into his true protag potential after the chapter ends. Her execution could also probably grant Dipper some more character development.
And second off, Blossom. Blossom seemed like an "I know best" character from the start of the chapter, and in fear of losing one of the hostages and failing to protect someone, and in turn feeling like she herself caused a death, may have killed Star in order to save the hostages and her sister from doom. Her execution as the ultimate team leader will make sure that the other students know that no one can really be trusted, and that even those with the strongest will can break and crumble. Her execution might also give Bubbles some character development, whether it gives way for her to be the next victim/blackened, or it might even make her a bit more serious about everything happening.
As for the unlikely one, Jenny. Jenny seemed like a friend of Star's seeing how many times the duo showed up as just that- a duo. And earlier in the chapter, Star did say that Jenny didn't answer the door when she knocked. This might hint at the duo being broken up in one way or another. And Jenny's mom is also a hostage, so in order to save her mom, Jenny may have killed Star, but that's just speculation, and I honestly don't think the killer is gonna be Jenny. Her execution might provide a bit of development for Blossom and Bubbles, seeing how a superhero just like them caved in, but I just find it unlikely.
And as a bonus, Cupcake may have something to do with the murder, since she's always left in the kitchen as Charlotte claims. My question is, if Cupcake was responsible for the murder, would that leave Charlotte accountable?
Now I'm also going to disprove some characters. I'll just jot down two.
I feel that Dipper wouldn't be the first killer. One, he seems hard to replace him. Other than Dib, no one else would make for a good protagonist. Two, Dipper IS the protagonist, and unless we are doing a protag-swap like in V3, it's highly unlikely that Dipper will be the one responsible for this murder. Also, Dipper was just about incompacitated for about the entire night, and it was still hard for him to go out and about in the morning, so I find it hard for him to have killed Star in that state.
I also think that Cartman won't be the first killer. He seems like the character that will focus on making the trials more difficult, so he needs to stay around for that, at least up until chapter 5. He's also been under Kyle's watchful eye, so it'd be hard for him to murder someone while he's consistently being watched. Plus, if it was to be Cartman, I don't think he would've been able to win a fight against Star, specifically because of her size compared to Cartman's.
Here's some side-notes about the murder.
-I don't think the scissors are the murder weapon. They don't have blood on them, first off, and second, I feel like the scissors would be used to hide the real weapon. Sort of a relation-by-distance sort of thing. Though I think that Star may have attempted to use them for self-defense, seeing how she looks to only have one cut across her throat.
-The murder may have been a suicide? Star may have put her own life up for grabs in order to make sure that no one else would be put up to killing someone. So, she slit her throat, washed off the weapon she used, and dragged herself over to the front of the counter, though I find this unlikely since Dipper caught someone running down the hall. So the murder may have taken place some time at 11:30 to 12:00am.
-Star was dragged around quite a lot, and seems to have either lost a lot of blood, or perhaps caused a lot of blood to be lost. Perhaps she managed to fight back after she was attacked, and while she died in the process, she injured her attacker? If I'm being honest, it seems strange and unlikely that the killer simply dragged their victim around the counter, unless they were trying to flaunt the kill.
And now for some roles.
-Dipper is of course our protagonist.
-Cartman might be this fangan's Byakuya/Nagito/Kokichi, as he consistently strikes up trouble and makes the trials progressively harder to solve.
-Dib might act as the fangan's Kyoko/Co-Protagonist, as he seems to be the one closest to Dipper, the protagonist, at this current point, and one of the smartest characters as of now as well.
-Ed seems like the Nekomaru/Gonta of this fangan, as he's not that bright, though he does prove his worth with his strength. He may die in chapter 4, as Sakura, Nekomaru, and Gonta did.
-Bubbles will be a survivor, I can near guarantee it. She's the softest of the group, and can be put to tears easily, so she'll be making friends and losing them as the story goes on, ending up with her being in the final 5 or 6, unless Cheesy is going for an actual last-man-standing with this, which I sorta find unlikely.
-Star... honestly seemed like fodder, or "filler" as Cartman put it, as if she would be someone who looked like they would definitely be dying at some point, and that it'd just depend on a single trigger event that their deaths would take place. Someone like Chihiro.
And those are all the theories I have so far. See you in the next installment.

Vendetta had to have done it. 1) She’s evil. 2) She could reasonably scavenge for ingredients to make a fiend to disarm Star and kill her. 3) With her reaction to seeing Grudge chained up at 2:39:21, it seems like she wants to get to the bottom of this. 4) She hates anything cutesy, which is Star to a T. True, Charlotte exists, but Vendetta probably thinks that would be too easy, and killing Star would provide more of a challenge for her. 5) She clearly has the cunning to, say, lure Star into the kitchen where the fiend is. 6) It’s likely she doesn’t want to get upstaged by Monokuma. Here’s what I think happened (More or Less):
Vendetta went into Star’s room, saying that there was a cute creature in the kitchen waiting for her. When Star went into the room, it turns out the “Cuddly Creature” was actually a fiend. Star tried fighting back, but the fiend overpowered her and slit her throat. Vendetta placed the scissors next to Star just to throw everyone off.
Dang that was a mouthful :/

The thing that one of my favorite cartoon characters died first made me cry.
Cartman dying!??!? The possibility is still open...

Holy shit, this was so worth the wait! 4 whole hours of cartoons offing each other, I love it!
My thoughts and theories:
1. Star knows Marco was kidnapped, she isn't stupid, I think her luring her killer in may be plausible since she acted deep in thought about his kidnapping, and seemed to be trying to get jenny and maybe mabel alone in the kitchen the previous day before dipper and dib got there EDIT: I just thought, maybe she just lost her memory of her time on earth prior to the school and truly didn't know who he was.
2. Cartman 100% ate something from the microwave to make him tell the truth when asked questions, I also think Cartman would have been the most likely 1st person to find the body, followed by Charlotte
3. Speaking of those 2, I really doubt either of them, nor Dipper or Dib are the killer:
- Dipper was half dead and could barely move until the announcement
- Dib had literally no reason to kill, and he's definitely important to the plot later
- Cartman is too important to the plot, and he would be a waaay too obvious killer. I do think he played a role, probably found the body first without telling anyone, and tried to cover it up bc he knew hed be suspected, but hes definitely not the real killer
- Charlotte had no motive and would not have fought back if lured into the kitchen, she probably finds the body 2nd, bc her cat fiend is in there
Next we have the Powerpuffs and Jenny. Like a lot of people have said Jenny is definitely a strong candidate, but if indeed these 3 have alibis and were still getting their powers removed, then theyre out. (We don't exactly know when dipper woke up the 2nd time, it could be way later than 12 and they'd easily be free by then) Regardless though, I'd still personally mark off Bubbles as a suspect no matter what, I don't see her being the killer despite motive, it'd be blossom if either of the 2.
Following them now we're going totally off my own opinions, in which case, Ed wouldn't kill, Eddy would have to be the Kokichi to his Gonta there, and I don't see that being a plotline in chapter 1

And so we're left with 5 more major suspects, so from least to most likely IMO:
5. Vendetta: Vendetta is certainly very capable of murder, and is often in the kitchen bc fiend making, making her very susceptible to being at the wrong place at the wrong time here. I don't see her killing outright unprovoked though, she doesn't have THAT big of a motive with her hamster who she seems to only mildly care about. She is also bery disconnected from star and story wise she'd be a less thematic killer than my final 4
4. Morty: Morty is like, the #1 character I can see just freaking out and killing someone randomly out of anxiety. This coupled with him, Dipper (who is innocent), and maybe Mabel? being the only 2 to really believe in Star's dimensional scissors actually working, makes it sorta suspicious that she had them on her in the event that she wasn't trying to use them as a weapon or to escape. Morty could have easily asked to see her alone regarding those scissors, and then one of them freaked the fuck out and tried to use them to escape before killing the other. Once again, not as thematic as the final 3, but itd be interesting enough to have happened and still be a satisfying conclusion
3. Jenny: As many have already pointed out Jenny and Star were quite close, and if indeed Star was trying to lure someone in, Jenny was her first candidate. There are quite a few issues with this however, first off Jenny is a superhero and a robot and Star knows this, Star without her wand would stand absolutely 0 chance against her in a fight superpowers or not so why pick her? Second, Jenny didn't want to come with Star to the kitchen the day before, so why would she here, third Jenny still might have been getting nerfed by monokuma during the murder, fourth is the way Star died really the way Jenny would kill someone? It feels like stabbing wouldn'tbe Jenny's preferred form of attack. If it were Jenny, it'd have to be bc she was done being nerfed and on her own accord lured Star in herself to save her mom from being executed, a motive many other characters also share.
2. Blossom: I'll be honest, if it weren't for the possibly having an alibi, Blossom is easily my #1 suspect. It just makes do much thematic sense. She's the confident self proclaimed team leader but grows more and more hopeless as the chapter goes on, even to the point of looking panicked. She also has a big motive with her sister being kidnapped and hurt. It'd make for an interesting plot to have the biggest motivator end up the killer, similar to v3. Another potential motive is that if Star was trying to escape, or was freaking out and trying to kill someone else, Blossom would easily be the first to step in and try to stop that from happening. The only 2 things keeping her from being my #1 are her potential alibi, and the fact that she doesn't have a particular relstionship with star.
1. Mabel: The obvious choice, but Mabel is a pretty combination of the above 3
- She had a pre existing relationship with Star and would've been easily lured out, even maybe having been before the boys arrived the previous day.
- She had a big motive to kill on her own if she were the one to start things, first her pet pig was kidnapped and may have been killed, and second (I don't really see anyone mention this), she may have thought she just saw her twin brother die too, which
REALLY may have pushed her over the edge.
- Lastly, she would be one of the most thematiccally reasonable killers. She's the closest person to the main character, and would give him a lot of character development similar to dr 1 and v3. On a similar note, that whole close to the main character caricature usually either dies very early, very late, or survives. So unless theres somd very unexpected plotlines to come, I think she and dipper are the only characters confined to those tropes, unlike anyone else.

@@topaz2143 I honestly think it's Jenny based around how she has been acting during Daily Life (and based around how the other characters usually act) and I honestly believe the motive of seeing her mother may have caused her to kill since she is given the choice of either sacrificing these people she has known only for a few day or let her mother die

OK sorry I'm currently watching through this, and am only up to this episode, so NO SPOILERS PLEASE, but I can't help but notice.

As far as I can recall, we never get to see a Dipper sprite AFTER he wakes up in the school, and Mabel comments on it that it look better than the old one??

I said that this chapter would be worth the wait and it has, in spades in my honest opinion!! XD This chapter was awesome, great, phenomenal and other praise filled words I can give it but I can't think of at the moment. It was another master piece in my opinion, and I understand you and your friend are the only ones working on this(coding and writing wise) along with helping hands of your amazing VA talents bring beloved cartoon characters to life thus mistakes and not great quality might be expected. But honestly I don't think that's the case cuz I didn't seem to notice any of the mistakes you listed in the comments while watching the chapter nor think the quality in pacing, story progression, character art, art in general, voice stuff and stuff was of great quality in my opinion. You and your team deserve an award for this chapter with all the good work you paced into this entertaining chapter, along with the time stuff and problem stuff popping up making things difficult for ya but still able to get this master work out at a reasonable time for us fans and letting us know in a timely matter if it's up or not and why is... just fantastic. You are a fantastic trooper, you and your team Cheesy. :)
Everything was prefect for a follow up to this Danganronpa project. The pacing and story beats where consistent, letting each crumb of the mystery, referance to a cartoon, joke and character interaction flow natural like and gives us fans something to react to in a great way and timely manner. The jokes and gags where really done well, the delivery and quick fire nature of some are just prefect and made me laugh hard. Plus it's in keeping with some of the characters from each series style of humor too, which is amazing attention to detail. My fav jokes are Eddy getting sent up in the air by an excited Ed and crashing on the ground, Monokuma trying to make a grand entrance again but falling again and blowing up into pieces and finally the Mabel death fake out making Dipper jump at Mabel popping outta her room suddenly freaking him out. The character interactions again happen naturally, with good dialogue that feels like something these characters would say to each other if they met in some cartoon crossover of there series too. The great highlight of this is the misadventures in free time events with Dipper interacting with Jen, Eddy and Zim. The story itself plays out really awesomely, like I stated before it flows naturally giving us bits of info to the mystery and character bonding in some way to grow. Plus it flips the Danganronpa style of story a bit and our fan expectations in a cleverest of ways, like the seemly the memory loss on some characters like Star not knowing who Marco was or the showing everyone a loved one in danger after Monokuma is bored of no one killing each other but all at once instead of just individually by dvd watching in the auto room or doing two motives in the same chapter which to my limited knowledge hasn't happen in a Danganronpa thing that I know of. Its great twists you made on the formula of a franchise you using, plus the interesting twists to us fan expectations on having the first victim be Star and ending the chapter itself at her death was well done too. Overall this chapter you made is a great start to the series, setting up distrust between the students, doing secret hiding from each other, Monokuma making everyone's life miserable and being an annoying but funny bear to watch, mystery bits that we fans can think on, collectable stull like the doll/game hud stuff that makes it feel like Danganronpa and everything else that made this chapter awesome.
I know I missed a ton of stuff to praise you and your team done in this comment about this chapter, there is so many but no doubt your many other fans of this amazing fan project will point them out and praise ya rightly so. I can't wait to see what else will happen in the next chapter, no doubt it'll be more amazing and answer the questions set up her that I and maybe some other fans have, like is Everyone loves Kuma from Kablam being a replacement to Monokuma theater, well there be more Kablam stuff in the series in the future, how class trails work in your series with your own twists to it, will those secret stuff Dib and Dip be out in the open at some point, what other memories have the characters maybe lost, how many more dolls are there to collect and who murdered Star? But that no doubt will be answered later, cuz you all need a rest after all that hard work you guys done. So relax and enjoy the fruits of ya labors, you guys deserve it.
