ATTENTION ALL: This build only works if you are good at precision blocking _every single one_ of the fast moving purple orbs and dodging Eldritch Horror when it happens. If you can't do that, you NEED Chakra. Just swap out the poison and petrify materia for that. Otherwise, it's simply not possible.

I’m still young but getting older so I definitely don’t game for as long as I used to. I try one task on the VR thing a few times a day each day. I blew thru the other single challenges pretty much I’m just terrible with Aerith and Cait.

Oh wow this fight was a doozy. I think it took over 10 tries to finally beat the Mindflayer. In the end I had to change up the setup a bit: instead of Magic Focus & Poison+Petrify, I put in Precision Defense & Chakra. Blocking those 5 consecutive magic balls is ESSENTIAL. And I switched HP Absorb & Ice for Elemental & Lighting (so when Mindflayer does that lighting grid attack I can just stand there and get healed and attack). Also instead of Genji Gloves I put in Chocoking's Cape, for essentially 3 ATBs right of the bat with ATB Boost. Thanks to @akhafasu for all the great guides, couldn't possibly imagine doing all these challenges without them!
If you’re struggling as I did in the last battle, my extra tip is to use slow and any chance you have Muggle Mine, it helps A LOT getting him staggered faster! Ps: Thanks sooo much for your tutorials! You are an angel and did amazing using a Chrono Cross in one of them! ❤
Had to master that movement and style of Cait Sith, word of advice yall, this method works super well, when you get to the round 5, Mindflayer should mainly focus on your Moogle so you can cast Bioga (if you didn’t switch it to Chakra) and warning, you can run out of MP but if you follow this guide line by line, it shouldn't be too bad. 💯✌🏾
Thanks for the guide!! This was such a bullsh*t trial haha. I ended up using SteadFast Block Materia Earrings since I could "easily" beat the first 4 rounds without the need of dealing over 9999 at once. That also helped me get ATB by blocking the Mindflyer projectiles!
So for me, dumping bio and adding enemy skill saved me! Immediately get off plasma discharge on mind flyer and you’ll get bonus damage the whole fight. Late summon Gilgamesh and get off as many blizzagas as possible. Fairly easy. This was after 2 hours trying other methods.
Toughest one yet! Blocking the purple orb chain from mindflayer is definitely the move. Don’t mess up like me and waste MP on extra Bioga. At the end of the fight I had no mana and Greg saved the day 🙌

This one worked for me but I just couldn’t dodge Eldritch Horror and it never got aimed to my Moogle If anyone else is struggling with this and has Gotterdammerung, equip it and save your limit until he uses it so you can become immune from it, I ended up having to do two limits but I finally beat it in the end 👍
How necessary are the Genji Gloves for this setup? Going through the video, unless I missed something, the only time more than 9999 damage was done was against the Gi warriors in round 2, who are still easily wiped out without the extra damage. If so, maybe a different accessory would suit this build better, (my mind jumps to the Malboro Orb to extend the length of Stop to get more damage in while they're staggered) Def gonna be trying this build out though. Having no luck against the Mindflayer so far. Maybe this can bring me to victory
Yes, you can change the accessory to your liking. I used it just to be done with round two. Because sometime the Gi will give you a very hard time if they are not killed quickly. They’ve got some brutal attacks. So equip whatever suits you :)
Wow this one was the worst of all the individual challenges. Thanks again for the guide, just gotta say as others, I went a little more defensive with Steadfast block instead of Bioga for the last battle... And now onto Bonds of Friendship! (I'm scared lol)
Using limit break avoids it. He shot it at me 3 times on the run I completed it I used limit break toy box all 3 times to avoid it. You could try casting manawall.
@@reeceholmes7903 just block and use chakra whenever needed. It’ll prolong the battle but you’ll be win at least. Try using a summon and equip a Götterdämmerung if you have it
Your build and strategy is not helping me against the Mindflayer. He teleports way too close to me and uses Astral Apprehension, and I can't get away fast enough. This is incredibly frustrating, I am this close to just putting Elemental and Lightning in my goddam armor. EDIT: Yeah, if you're not good at avoiding Eldritch Horror or blocking the fast moving purple orbs, this fight is impossible without Chakra. I had to use that in order to win.
Not sure what the issue is, but you can keep running and his Astral Apprehension won’t connect. Don’t stand at a place and attack when you see him disappear
@@akhafasuGOT TO THE CLEAR. I made one minor adjustment. Switched out my weapon to Resounding Megaphone and equipped Moogle Decoy x2 Moogle Sentinel x2 (Due to it being 5 slot weapon at level 9, I dropped Poison/Petrify Materia.) Thanks so much! Cheers
I did not enjoy this one at all. I ended up needing Gilgamesh to strike the final blow for me, relying on my parry skills to keep me alive long enough for him to do so. The purple orbs are three hits. If you're familiar with music, it's a triplet. Tri-pl-et. Or say, pineapple. Pie-na-pull.
sorry man the mindflayer round 5 starts blasting magic and 2 hits OVER! its done not even the red attack, just basic magic and its over.... No wonder most gamers laugh at this company.... 140 million can't be wrong...

Oh wow this fight was a doozy. I think it took over 10 tries to finally beat the Mindflayer. In the end I had to change up the setup a bit: instead of Magic Focus & Poison+Petrify, I put in Precision Defense & Chakra. Blocking those 5 consecutive magic balls is ESSENTIAL. @@mikekino_ if it connects, it deals a lot of damage over time. But you can definitely try other methods depending on your play style
Minelayer is so hard. Failed 4 times so far on him :( need chakra for HP I think.
He can be a pain. Just keep your distance and make sure to summon your Moogle if it dies. Bioga it twice to greatly reduce its HP via poison

@@beZZy0303Mindflayer is tricky. I ended up testing him on the biology mission to learn his attacks and what was blockabale etc. try that.

You need to block. If you have a Gotterdammurung you can use it for a limit break
