Round-Based Zombies is back! Black Ops 6 will launch with two brand-new Round-Based Zombie maps - Terminus and Liberty Falls - and a continuation of the intriguing and terrifying Dark Aether narrative that was started in Black Ops Cold War. The campaign and mp was good I won’t deny that but the zombies was horrible up until mob and origins can you really say the victis maps are on par if not better than those maps. And ghost was universally hated putting ghost and bo2 is like putting vanguard and bo3 together

@@nuk3407 skill issue isn’t a thing I’ve been playing since waw skill issue I laugh.Even in bo3 I still only use 4 perks and if someone drops a perkaholic I go down so I can just stick to 4 perks it’s the challenge.even in cw I used 4 perks grab the d that game was easy yet it only used a pistol no attachments or rariety upgrades.the game just lackex

Its so sad that operators werent even a design decision, they just happened due to the pandemic. Cold War deserved better.
He said "in the last game" when he mentioned Covid pandemic influence. Cold war was made BEFORE pandamic and published during the beginning of pandemic.

@@darkzero7969looked into Treyarch history of game releases and their "last game" reference is probably about Vanguard. That was released in 2021 and wasn't really popular but what I hear.
Vanguard hits the mark for both "affected by pandemic" and "concessions were made".
MWZ is probably not the game he refers to as it had been developed after the pandemic, nor is Cold war the referred game as it was developed before pandemic.
My wish list for bo6 zombies:
-New maps with cool location and theme.
-All previous zombie maps (so all of them are packet nicely together)
-Zombie menu from bo1 (map name -and when you go on top of it -some part of that map appear on your screen) while classic zombie menu music plays in the backround.
-When you buy a weapon from the mystery box, it doesn't have any attachments (so when a good smg appears before me, it doesn't have a sniper's scope). And if they want people to be able to customise their weapon, create a crafting station where people can customise their weapon for points you earn from killing zombies.
Along customizing the ui for your preferences, one can hope 🙏🏻

Kevin Drew has seriously impressed me lately, he is striking a very good balance of zombies level secrecy and also communication with the community. Something him and treyarch lacked heavily during cold war.

He mentions zombies being the one mode where they DONT HAVE TO BE CALL OF DUTY and can be creative, so WHY ARE THEY MAKING IT REALISTIC AND LINKING IT TO CAMPAIGN AND WARZONE??????? They are doing so little actual fantastical mythological and sci fi things and keeping it as grounded as possible to fit into the campaign universe, theyre literally limiting their creativity as much as they can.

I think it's not Treyarch choice but Activision to prevent the studio to make there own zombie game. If I remember good, ancient treyarch devs are actually making their own zombie games

Then Warzone became no longer cool but since they've invested too much into Warzone experience overshadowing both the multiplayer AND zombies communities and even campaign community for MWIII them trying to rehash assets from an old BR map for a campaign, which is probably first time ever that a game reuses assets FROM BR FOR CAMPAIGN and not the other way around.
For a pandemic game Cold War is a brilliant game.

They have to do the loadout system because if they dont then they cant sell skin bundles to zombie players.

i think weapon tiers & starting loadouts are a good thing, its fun starting with any weapon you like and it speeds up the momentum. its not completely busted either since you spawn with the lowest tier
Literally if they just kept bo3’s concept and just added more maps and different lore it would’ve done so much better than their recent iterations of zombies. BO4 was their last good attempt of capturing its essence and I pray they understand that.

I remember the DE easter egg but could not tell you one interesting thing in Forsakens egg, it becomes so easy its not even an EE anymore its a campaign mission with zombies running around. BO3 > CW

When has there EVER been difficulty in early rounds in zombied aside from doing the first dog on mob, origins generators and the blood catwalk???? There is only difficulty if youre trying to perfectly optimise points and making every early zombie kill matter, which only really good players are doing anyway
Zombies was NEVER hard early game and i cant even comprehend that theyre going to make it easier, if people found it too hard and didnt care to play more, they were never interested to begin with. Making it too easy just kills all fun for the ACTUAL FANS while making no difference to the people who dont care to begin with

Bro people like u give me a stroke. It’s never not been in the game. Bo4 gave u double tap when u paped ur gun, same with Cold War. The perk enhances ur gun, not u, which is why it shouldn’t be a perk for the player, but a perk for the gun. Which is why packing it makes more sense as it already makes the gun stronger

and me personally i don't really mind whatever they do with it.
im a fan of like outbreak, that was awesum . just freeroam in a large map. looting find artifacts, ect ect, it was great in cold war, so i hope it also come back in BO6
same i was listening for that. Not a word on it though just round based. I never really liked zombies that much until outbreak. Me and my gf played it constantly together. Its nice to have an open map and be able to chill out every now and again if u want and take it at a comfortable pace.

I cannot stand how many zombies devs mention bringing back important core parts of what made zombies special, for them to always say PERKS AND PACK A PUNCH. That is LESS THAN THE BARE MINIMUM, its like having SPRINT in multiplayer like of course it has to be there??? they are NOT what made old zombies special???? I just cant understand how they do not get what it is that made bo2/3 special. Acklowledging a set crew being needed is good and ONE thing, but its just one thing. I simply do not have any trust that they will do enough, i cant have faith. Not after Cold war Vanguard and MWZ. Yes, not even cold war, it has good, but it has SO MUCH BAD

this is why they do not comment on these things. You have to realize the zombies community is much bigger now than it was. Lots of sections of that community want different things. A lot of people think CW was the best zombies game. Some prefer outbreak to round based. Some don't even like easter eggs

Yeah way easier than Cold War means literal baby’s could get round 100 so I’m pretty concerned. But what I’m hoping he means by that is it will be easy to get set up for like round 30 but after that you will need skill
@@RickGrimes-xz8skdepending on the strategy and map idt round 100 is easier on Cold War then other games. I think the major thing is it’s so much faster to run particular with rampage. Keep in mind tho Iv only gotten round 100 / extensively played on WaW, bo1, and Cold War maps

I think all we need, and perhaps this is too much to ask for (or maybe not) is simply as the top zombies streamers are hoping for: that there is 1 map for the noobs, and one map for the OG’s. There’s really no way to appease both in 1 map, and the OGs made zombies what it is now. Keep the second map for the OGs because they actually care about it the most. Keep the EEs difficult, replay-able, and unique. There’s a reason why so many people still play custom zombies in BO3…because it works. Go ahead and add Omni-movement, New GGs, New Story, etc. Keep what made BO3 what it is.
Difficulty differentiation is necessary, BO4 just doesn't do it well enough. Without difficulty differentiation, the game can only meet the needs of a subset of players. Either do too simple to meet the novice players, the master has nothing worth challenging; Or the game is too hard for newcomers to get involved. If you want to take care of both in a single difficulty, it will only lead to neither side is pleasing.
In fact, many players stay in the more challenging WAW-BO4 (BO4's normal difficulty is considered too easy, hardcore and above is fine), especially High Rounds and challenge players (life First Room). These players and Easter egg players are the main groups that COD zombies have become popular, and today many of them are ignored by the new zombie games, and the games they stick to are still very classic. If the BO6 zombie is the "most successful" zombie, I think this group of players who have been ignored should have a place in it, and not continue to be ignored. Let the old players satisfied, let the new players can integrate, the best way is to distinguish the difficulty, but need to do better than BO2 BO4.
Idk I disagree dalek. I feel as if the soul and purpose of what makes something fun, (especially a pve) replayable.
Difficulty. Must be hard. Look at every super popular single player game that is popular. Elden ring. Hades. Doom. Halo ledgendary. Escape from tarkov in a sense. Difficulty. It should be hard. You should feel like you are barely surviving.

He said a lot of good things but I still have some problems with Bo6 zombies.
The two major issues I have with what he said are that one, they think this will be the best iteration, and although they might think that, I already know it won't be because it's an evolution of Cold War, and Cold War was designed to favor warzone players more than zombies players. So many of CW's crap mechanics are already confirmed to be returning.
The second iffy thing is the difficulty thing. If they do a multiple difficulty thing like bo4 or bo2, then sure, but if they do it like cold war and make the entire game easier then that's bad. Yes new players are good, but the returning players shouldn't suffer from it, and that sums up my main problems with CW and even entire games like MWII
(Tank 1 Tank 2) (Drunk Sluggard Killed by sobered Dude) (Evil Doctor) (Honorable Monkey Man) and some of the other characters are cool [Dialogs] Theater of Theatrical Design
I think what he means by making it better for beginners just means that they've maybe added some extra OP weapons/wonder weapons and perks/armor/etc. I could be totally wrong, but that's what I'm getting from it.
If bo6 zombies is similar enough in difficulty to cold war, that'll be perfect for me. I don't want needlessly difficult and complicated Easter egg bullshit.

I think it's a shame that they had to abandon the Chaos storyline in BO4 due to Sledgehammers fiasco with Activision. They poured a lot of resources and passion into that.
Bo4 showed me they can ruin zombies. We will see when it comes out period. Enough speculating that the game is going to be good for a fact. You don’t know yet, we will find out.
I might be in the minority. I do hope they go back to the traditional/bo3 hit system. The armour system was trash. I prefer the search for jug and being careful about everything
Adding a dedicated crew again is a great move, however if he truly cares about the ‘zombies DNA’ he’ll make sure Loadouts are removed. They make wallbuys & the mystery box completely redundant, which are HUGE parts of the zombies DNA.
It also encourages people who want to use zombies as a ‘levelling up’ mode which is the complete opposite of what it’s supposed to be!
Yup, is all just fanservice they dont actually want the core old zombies like BO1, 2 or 3 they just want cold war 2 with a little bit of nostalgia to get you to buy it.

Sad part is, if they kill of the comunity that buys only for zombies then the mode will actually go away because there will be no financial incentive. No reason to make a side mode for people who are already going to buy lol just sell skins

I noticed one very very key detail that ive never heard kevin say before. Milo has used the term counter culture for zombies for years now, i trulu hope they are strictly using his criticisms and suggestions for zombies even if its behind closed doors. Which in my mind ot seems to be from them using milos terms in the contrxt of community feedback. Theres no way milo hasnt inspired something here bro.
BO4 they made it easier, but the first rounds of shooting in the feet, closing windows, finding parts. Figuring it out! You're a rat in a maze of hell trying to find your way out!

The first minute in and already saying bs about we know that Easter egg and round base and stuff like that from bo1 to bo3 we realise that are the main and important things and they remove it all wtf is talking about …. He want to bring zombie to more people’s ….. really changing the game mode removing the fun and make the game for kids that don’t know and care about ee story line and high rounds …. Do a different game no a cod game for them let this new kids play an easy game somewhere else and leave the game like it was form bo1 to bo4 …. No easy ee or telling ee on what to do no easy rounds no fake story line like mwz … or if you can’t make a separate game do like sker ritual that I can choose the difficulty I want to play so only hard mode for me and easy for now player and kids that don’t know how to play ….
change my mind but zombies was only great because its was not for everybody. they try to make cold war zombie with this warzone overhaul for everybody and the endproduct was the soulsless zombie mode by treyarch
I love they brought round base back, but i love the open world zombies. For sure it's lacking but the base of it was good and fun.
My most memorable zombies experience is back when mob of the dead came out . Did everything we could find on there
I'll remain optimistic about BO6 Z, i know he's not going to trash talk a game him and his team have been working on for so long but after the last few iteratons of zombies I'm not sure i can trust the words of someone just wanting you to buy their game

To make highgrounds easier i think gobble gums will make beginner players making high rounds much easier, a example kf this can be there isnt a single map on b02 were anyone has ever gotten round 255, whereas b03 every map people have gotten to 255 which i think is the help of gobblegums
Not really. Many maps like Revelations, Ascension and even Origins can be easily played to 255 in bo3 without the use of gobblegums at all since those maps are easy and the use of AAT (like Dead Wire) makes it more easy because its like every weapon turns into a wonder weapon.
Even more so after watching this interview, I really think Cold War had the opportunity to be the best zombies iteration of all time if they just had more time to work on it.
