This must be the first story I've come across where the wife leaves with her AP and never comes back for any reason, no information about what she is doing, if she is alive, if her life is not what she envisioned it to be, nothing, just OP slowly picking up the pieces and moving with with a better life, very good story.

Yup. Although flimsy, WW did explain why she run away. For her, raising a kid was a burden. So she run away with AP to start a new life elsewhere.

This is one of the best stories on this channel, if not the best. There's just one small detail that I didn't approve and I don't know if it's legally possible. The fact that he can adopt a girl who had a good father and who is on her birth certificate. Even if it's possible, I can't make sense of it. A daughter does not deny a loved and present father after his death. Thanks for the post.

Theres....some trope in manga n hmanga where a professional woman, near her 30, never sleep around and act profesionally, always focusinf on work n never flirt or sleep around.
In the past, guy reach top of his career midlife and found early 20s woman as mistress.
So, why not write as story where WW ditch BH. Somehow BH got the kid....and the manga trope woman, who is working as BH's secretary or manager, become the new love for BH?
I mean....its a pity that the husband become redshirt so that renee could be cast as new love for BH....

"I poured a shot of "bourbon"....all i hear is Duheeerrrr at that point. It's just lazy. Stop it. It isn't that difficult to put in 2min of research to find a reasonable bourbon, scotch, irish, etc to use in the story.
