I was literally looking for a good way to get fusion cores because the new gen update is coming, and you uploaded just a day ago lol, the timing and tutorial earned you a like, sub and a whole watch of your video. Awesome man.
The KL-E-O's gun shop in Goodneighbor is called: Kill or Be Killed. Guns, guns, guns is just a sign to grab the attention of gun customers as their enter Goodneighbor. The Fallout wiki states that the sign is probably Pre-war signage from the shop's original owner. Occasionally, one of the town guards tells you to check out Kill or Be Killed . To be honest, a few points into scrounger, and you can easily get all the caps you need for just about anything you might need. I used to farm water for caps, but it was just a pain to donate all that build space to the farm. I usually have a 2-3 Luck for a good while, and scrounger gives me all the ammo I need to use/sell. ( .38 ammo & flamer ammo are instant sellbait, as well as, .44 and .50 for most of my games. ) I can use the proceeds of the ammo to buy 308, Fusion cores( most of the time I find what I need in the field, pretty easy if you know where to look) , and whatever junk I need like biometric scanners, and microscopes (for radiation shower arches). I have never used any sort of item duplication trick, I just hoover up everything that I can with the tenacity of a locust. Recently, I got a mod called: Portable Junk Recycler. You stick junk items into it, and it converts them into their base components. I love it for my survival mode runs (I have survival options installed too).
The luck perk helping you find more ammo good not only for ammo but those sellsfor good money too AND also let you find 4 fusion cores in random containers. Also early lvl1 FCs: 1 in cave below Red Rocket Gas Station, 2 NE from Sanctuary at robotics desposal, self destruct the sentry bot, 1 in Concord Museum of Freedom.
On the way to Diamond city, right on a corner near the last barricades to the right, there should be a small ammo crate, there is where I found neither 1 nor 2 but exactly 4 fusion cores for free, the guardsmen did not even bother about it, so don't miss the chance! I hope it helps

If you really want to monetize your purified water operation, you should have Drinkin' Buddy strutting around your main farm. Grab all the water that you have produced, and put it into his cooler for an hour, and you will have Ice Cold purified water which sells/heals for more, and weighs the same. It isn't an item that you can use for crafting I've found though, but is great for survival mode. Another note. When in Goodneighbor, why not browse Daisy's ammo selection, or Rufus Rubins at the Hotel Rexford? If you are trying to find Fusion cores, all three shops can have them for sale, and you might not even need to cop-a-squat for 48 hours :)
@@ltriggerlhappyl I've been doing it for years. I have no idea why it isn't working for you. Sorry if I steered you wrong. I have been playing for over 5000 hours on xbox, ps4, but mostly pc, and I have never had an issue with getting ice cold purified water from Drinkin' Buddy. I have even looked online and others on reddit have also mentioned that they love getting ice cold purified water from Drinkin' Buddy as well. I would try leaving the cell for a quest, and come back later. I also would put a few beers or nuka-colas as a control sample inside. Another thing to keep in mind is that the game is a little weird with time, which is why I suggested leaving the cell. Somethings react differently in the wacky world of Fallout. If you still want a surefire way to get the ice cold water, might I suggest the mod: Working Ice Cooler. Off from Nexus. I know you don't use many mods, but this one is great, and is very lore friendly.
Duke is a member of the Atom Cats, and has a number of specific spawn points on the map. If you haven't found Atomic Cats Garage, look for the spawn points online. Go to a spawn point. Reload the save if he doesn't spawn. Once he spawns, pickpocket the fusion core. Reload save if he catches you. Step back and he will exit the T60 power armor. Talk to him again. Take a couple of steps back and he may have another fusion core. Rinse and repeat. With this method, i picked up 20 fusion cores and a full set of T60 power armor at level 11.
Another really really really easy way to make some easy thousand caps just keep doing the duplication glitch with a store preferably a emporium you can use the other 2 if you don’t have the perks and for some cores I usually just sleep or do some quest until the 4 enclave camps get their resources again and you easily get about 10 cores
There’s a bench right out side of guns guns guns that you could sit on , no need to fast travel . At Damond City you can get more than five in each sitting . I have thousands of Fusion Core from selling Bleeding Bear Traps and I get great XP from making them .
Oh snap! Thanks, I didn't think they'd re-stock while you were in town. You're not the first person to tell me about these Bear Traps. I'm gonna have to mess around with them. 👽
Purified Water is better. It's consistent, and easier to have thousands of it. Just remember: never carry more than 50,000 of one item. You can lose 70% of it in fast traveling while overencumbered I learned that back in 2020. You can carry 50,000+ combined items, just not 50,000 weight of one item. I lost 70% of my steel in that previous game in 2020. I had to start a new game. Just couldn't get it back. Lesson learned. But all you need is 35,000 Purified Water to hit every merchant (non-settlement merchants) in the game, including dlc if you're looking to buy all their food, drugs, ammo, and junk. As long as you have the caps to match.
You can also do a trader loop to burn time. Start in Diamond City, then go to other trading spots, burning time up as you travel. Finish your loop at the beginning of day three (which equals a sell day plus 2 24 hour waits) back at Diamond City and continue. If you don't have enough locations to use up all the time, go back to Diamond City early and get some Ramen. I just play the game for those two days; usually, it's enough time to move to, complete, and return from a standard quest.
That Power Armor is also forever yours. In one game I farmed Power Armor suits. I played up to the point of no return, and went to Revere Satellite Array (I believe, it's a Satellite array, I think it's that one) with high sneak build, a Vertibird would drop 3-4 BoS in Power Armor and I would take their cores, leave, come back and take the suits. I got so many, I couldn't count how many but you have to be quick 'cause they respawn back pretty quickly and drop more BoS guys; one time 30+ Power Armor suits in one area built up every in-game day. I was building a Power Armor Army. I ended up with over 600 Power Armor suits.
That is a Creation Club item. You can craft them and give them to followers or settlers. Equip it yourself and upgrade it to get 100 extra pounds of carry weight 👍🏼

Well, no 'cause you have to have the caps equal to what you're purchasing. Some vendors sell Legendary weapons/armor.
