The shoes worked for me. I stared dunking maybe weeks after using them. All did was jump rope with them a few nights a week and next thing you know I was dunking with easy.

Same experience here. Whole team at my two previous schools used them during summer lifting workouts (jumping rope, boxes, dot drills, ladder, plyos, sshort burst sprints, etc...) Speed and jumping increased, ALOT for some, less for others. *Everyone used them so we never compared. I don't see how it can't (definitely strengthens arch of foot and calf)...BUT, even if it doesn't increase as much as they say.... IT HELPS MOTIVATE, because our kids goals were to play in the rafters. How could it not, they busted in them!

I'm 47 years old....I remember when these FIRST came out on the 90s....I cut grass all summer to buy'em. The program the shoes came with was the best thing. The placebo of the shoes had me doing the program which ultimately caused me to jump higher.

I'm almost 50. It helped me shaved my 40 time from a 4.6 to a 4.5 during the 90's
They definitely work, without a doubt. I trained in the OG Strength Shoes back in the day sometime around mid through late 90's off and on. This is following the plyometric training guide in the OG strength shoes. Not only helps with vertical but also your first step, ability to stop on a dime and pull up and shot, and also leg stamina(from the extensive plyometric training maybe?).

🤦🏽♂️ total BS. They worked PERFECTLY for me and I became a pro player all over Europe with only 6,0. I GAINED so much Strength and Speed ! WHY shooting a video like this preventing your followers to take advantage of the best method ever. To sell your coaching ? Really? Get a affiliate link and promote what works !

I did everything my coaches told me to do in highschool...Lift, Lift, Lift....fastes 40 I ran was a 4.91. Went to college to play football and did their whole program for speed and only got to a 4.86. Got on the strength shoe and in 10 weeks I ran a 4.5 40 in the old school 4 pound Riddell cleats...I could barely touch the bottom of the rim on a 10 foot goal and after the strength shoe I could dunk. I did the program 100% and it worked. In 2012 I tried talking my nephew into doing the strength shoe because he was a rb and ran a 5.0 forty. He fought me forever and did all types of other programs....finally he did the strength shoe workout for 10 weeks along with my other nephew. The 5.0 forty nephew dropped to a 4.6 and made all state rb in Class 3A, the other nephew went from a 4.9 to a 4.5 forty and made all state rb and was named to the Dave Campbells Super Team. When done correctly these work.
Yeah, they work!! They worked when I was 15 and they worked when I was 40. I walk 1 mile in them every other day. They make my legs Soooooo Strong!

facts I'm 5' 7" and I was dunking in high school.
Guys please take into account that he is looking to promote his training program and can't honestly endorse a simple shoe that all you have to do is walk around in them and you will see a difference. Why would he tell you to spend money on that instead of spending money watching him jump on boxes? Of course they work. Everyone I've known to use them, soon after became more explosive. He made it seem bad about an increase in calf size, but I think any man would like to see an increase in muscle size. More muscle, more strength.
I was already touching rim but I couldn’t dunk but when I got the strength shoes, I used them for two weeks and I was Dunkin after that. So I must say they really work .

They worked for me that was 20 years ago I plan on getting my son a pair.
That's the must intense calf workout you will ever experience so they do have it's place.
I personally have a pair and used them back in the day, and kids do. I feel it in arch of feet first! KILLED mine, until they got stronger.

They absolutely work. Anyone who says they don't is wrong. I increased my vertical by 5 inches training with them. You have to put in the work but they absolutely make your calves stronger, more flexible, and more explosive.
How though, what workouts?
Well it helped me ... the shoes work but ypu need to exercise also

Not sure if it’s the shoes or the program you do with the shoes that worked . But I gained a lot in 2006
I had them worked fr me and got a scholarship..not paid to say this..

yo coach. wanted to know if it's possible you make a video on running. like how many times a week a player(im point guard 6'0) has to run and how?(sets of sprints?suicides? jogging? which distance?) thank you for the other videos.one word. great.
Thanks David! If running is part of your cardio routine outside of basketball, that's perfectly fine. You just want to make sure you're practising proper recovery to avoid fatigue or chance of injury! You should aim to get some cardio into a few training sessions per week, outside of normal practice and games. Sprints, suicides are best, where there is fast change of pace and direction

Yes you can train upper body as well as lower body
That review is garbage. They have their own agenda. Will strength shoes allow to dunk like Michael Jordan? No. Will they, along with other workouts, help you become a much better athlete? YES! I love them!

Back in the 90's the Brand "Strength" in red letters were at the bottom of the shoes as part of the sole. Black or white Low quarter running shoes with a solid platform focused at the ball of the fore foot. It is meant to practice keeping your heal from touching the ground while in use. Some people sprint flat footed and haven't been trained to sprint on the ball of the fore feet. This helps and strengthens the calf and foot muscles to hold that position while sprinting. Also gives you extra explosion when jumping. Back in the day there was also a thigh weight harness belt. the adjustable sand weight straps around both thigh and attached to a belt around your waist. Max weight was either 30 or 40 pounds per leg. Made the leg heavier. To lower the weight, you can remove the small sand bags out of the pockets. That also helped with speed and jumping. I'm trying to buy the two products again if I can find them.
So while I appreciate your comments and your video. Just because this is not the end all exercise obviously doesn't mean you shouldn't train with them.
