What is hard for some of us to remember sometimes is that you don't live to work! If a job starts to hinder you in a negative way then a change is needed. I've been battling this myself - I've lost motivation for the things I was so passionate about, always tired no matter how much sleep I got, just want to stay in bed, isolated myself from friends, and feel so stuck. When I drive to work my anxiety skyrockets and I have this negative feeling in my gut but when I leave work I feel a little less tense. I know change is scary sometimes and the fear of the unknown for leaving your job lingers - but remember you have only one life to live and no job is worth you having a negative outlook in life or yourself. The thing for me is that every job seems overly stressful nowadays, because business owners don't want to put enough staff on. So I end up doing two job positions instead of one (and my main job position takes up most of the day if they want me to follow all of the food safety protocols). I’m on the verge of having a burnout myself. Mostly from work but also social interactions is what causes it. Not to mention I can’t seem to enjoy the things I enjoy or have the energy for them.
Omg after 20 years of working I didn’t know I was suffering from burn out! My blood test results showed my stress levels was double what it should be and I told the doctor that I don’t feel stressed. Burn out felt normal. Now I know I shall take more time out to meditate and enjoy small outings and reading in coffee shop. And change my career to something more fulfilling
Also there's one thing I did not see in this video and that is from my own personal experience and talking to so many other people from so many different fields is straight loneliness! If your job has you not in contact with other humans Burberry and especially physically (meaning being around another human) for a certain period of time it amplifies the feeling of burnout or in my case it started the feeling of burnout. The next part is loneliness in the personal life... A lot of people do find the perfect mixture of work and personal life but then they come to the realization that they're personal life is too lonely and they wonder why they are doing whatever they're doing for work! So even though this video is great and it puts out a lot of cool and common and the guy giving the video is very optimistic sounding there's a lot more to burn out than three little factors
Burnout is real AF, haven’t been able to work for more than 30 mins a day now for over a month and half since the severe burnout started. Have experienced physical symptoms that don’t even let me keep working. Sucks, now I need to start taking meds or keep waiting this out.. either way feels crazy to me. Trying to become ok without feeling ok is strange.
This is my 2nd. time experiencing burn out from a social work/human services type job. I think I'm going to look into other jobs or learning some type of trade. I personally find it difficult to take time off due to increased work load/case load over the last several years. One time I took time off due to exhaustion and my coworkers were covering my caseload while I was off work. I get that they had their own caseload, but when I returned to work, I was so far behind on paperwork that I felt like my only option was to quit.
"Don't go back to the ssame situation that caused the burnout or at least limit your exposure." That's hard to do if the cause is family that you have no choice but to live with. I see them every day and they refuse to leave me alone or my boundaries. I can't even show I'm in a bad mood or else "I'm ruining the vibe" and how my mood effects theirs. I shouldn't be the mood regulator of everyone, it's not fair. I don't want to be present amongst toxic people that cause drama for the heck of it...I'm just so tired. I'm bad if I say no. Bad if I'm unhappy. Bad. Just bad.

I’ve gone on a silent retreat, I rested a lot and was outside my routine, and no one was around. You can do this by going away to a quiet place, turn off the phone. Reading can help if it’s a somewhat related to personal development or self improvement. If you recognize God or not He will be there too, it’s in silence and peace that he heals and refreshes.
@@AbrahamThePharmacist The weird thing is when you are going through burnout and you’re experiencing all the symptoms, you are in denial about it. And you think that it’s your fault, you are lazy…and all the guilt associated with letting your family and colleagues down. I'm about 93% sure that I got Burnt-out from working, not only cause of the sometimes annoying Supervisor I'd get, but also because I had an 8 hour per day job with 1 to 2 days off per week, some days I'd have a day off and a few hours after I'd wake up, I'd get a call from work that they need help, so I'd end up going to work on most days off including working 16 days straight in fast food, I just didn't realize until a few weeks ago that over a year ago when I quit that it actually burnt me out mentally working where I was working
Could avoidance and detachment or escapism be a result of burn out? Can burn out last over a year? What is the difference between burn out and a mental break down?
Detachment is an actual symptom of burnout so it could be both actually, but i think it’s burnout, get help from friends or family or try to give yourself some time to fix your stress/ detachment problem. If you need any help tell me
First year university and everything is online and then there was a problem with my schedule so I had to take a full sem worth of courses over the summer and maintain a 4.0 for scholarship as well as work full time. I am potentially failing a class and all my other classes gpa's are a lot lower than wanted. I am doomed.
So is this burnout? I thought I was becoming lazy and lazier overtime. It feels like I don't have the energy to the things I usually love doing in the past such as gaming, hanging out with friends and others. I am a Filipino former senior highschool student. It all started with this pandemic where schools are close. We switch from traditional face to face into online distance learning. Basically, our teachers are supposedly monitoring our progress online to study meanwhile they distribute a booklet of questionaire, test papers, activity instruction, and other school related works which we call module. we often recieve 15-25 modules worth of 5-6 subject. We are supposed to answer that thing and send our answer to the school at the end of the week. After that, we get another batch of modules which we need to answer and submit at the end of the week. And the cycle repeats itself. It's really ironic that we call it online distance learning but no there's no online interaction with teachers and students via zoom. They only contact us through messenger and google class to inform us what activities are we missing. They don't teach us, they just send this and that. A link from RUclips, a PDF file of a book or any other references materials containing our lessons. The studying is ours all and all. It's honestly overwhelming specially doing the job alone with little to no reward at all. This cycle of stress, no reward activities drives me to be lazy and lazier to do the studying. I became dependent to my classmates to answer it and just ask if I can copy them and thats really sad. I became really lazy, in fact so lazy that I stop doing the things I usually enjoy doing such as gaming, drawing, playing guitar, watching anime and kdrama, or even a simple household chores. One time, my parent told me I became extremely lazy that I just locked myself in my dark cave like room. my speech pattern is becoming so slow that I can't even talk fluently even with my own dialect, I can't express myself... My mind even think of very sinister action and I constantly thought about suicide and actually attempted doing it but I stopped with a fear that my parent caught me. That's when I realize there's something wrong with me. I first thought I was depressed and allegedly thought the trigger was the lost of contact with my friends face to face. But I was wrong. Usually, the description of depression described on youtube is different that's why I constantly searching of what I am really feeling. I am really confused about myself right now. Until I saw this Video. Now I learned I'm having burnout. Still I don't find this helpful in treating myself.

I started feeling very low after few months ,at first i thought it was due to my laziness so pushed through , i started loosing hairs my confidence was gone, left my passion, somedays i just laid in the bed till the evening, i never considered to seek help and never imagined to get depressed bcz i am always known to be a hyper active clumsy person, very talkative and laughing at every silly joke. all of that stopped. it went for a while but i slowly figured out a lifestyle that finally works wonder. 1) MEDITATE (20 mins early in the morning and before you sleep.) 2) EXERCISE (5days per week) 3) EAT CLEAN (eat oily fish, nuts , and citrus fruits) 4) LISTEN TO MELODIC SONGS AND WATCH GOOD MOVIES . 5) TAKE A DAY OFF IN A WEEK 6) TAKE COLD SHOWERS 7) PLAN YOUR WORK , DON'T LET IT PILE UP. 8) START LISTENING TO SADHGURU IN YOUR FREE TIME

Hope my video was helpful
@@AbrahamThePharmacist your video was super helpful thank you so much really appreciate you.
So even though this video is great and it puts out a lot of cool and common and the guy giving the video is very optimistic sounding there's a lot more to burn out than three little factors
thanks .. the last bit of ur video removed my burnout....now now now
Burnout is real AF, haven’t been able to work for more than 30 mins a day now for over a month and half since the severe burnout started.
"Don't go back to the ssame situation that caused the burnout or at least limit your exposure."
That's hard to do if the cause is family that you have no choice but to live with.
Bad. Just bad.
Can you move out?
@@oakiediaries9907 Nope, I can't afford it and my health makes it very hard to find a decent job.
Thank you for the explanation and the tips.
Appreciate it 🙏🏻

Your content is always so good, but this mental health focus and burnout was spot on. Not overloading and really helpful. This pandemic is really challenging our mental health, but thank you for raising awareness and signposting . Wishing you continued success .
Glad I could help and thanks for watching
I don't know if it's depressing, anxiety, ADHD, burnout or I'm just lazy
But I really hope this shit helps
Up date: it didn't help.
Thank you for the succinct explanation and suggestions of how to recover. God reward you

for me, it's basically school, bro
Good video. Also you have such nice skin. You should do a morning and night routine video, you could show us what u use, even if u didn't it could still be fun. Yes ik you make more medical videos, just throwing the idea out there. There are many ppl Drs nurses on YT as well who have done the same.
Very kind of you, added to the future video list and sending awesome vibes!
I've been burnt out for a year, and I just changed jobs a few days ago. Still feel burnt out. How do I recover?
As a nursing student in my first year. And just a few days in learning I'm kinda Burntout
I recently turned 18 and I have so many symptoms, I think I have so much stress it makes feel anxious, depressed, and worthless

Very helpful in a realistic nonsensical way 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you, this was great.
You're very welcome!
When not burned off, cortisol attacks heart muscle. Yes, stress can kill.
I love this video. Thank you thank you thank you!
You are so welcome!
@@AbrahamThePharmacist The weird thing is when you are going through burnout and you’re experiencing all the symptoms, you are in denial about it. And you think that it’s your fault, you are lazy…and all the guilt associated with letting your family and colleagues down. When I burnt out, it felt like ‘something in me had been damaged beyond repair’. That was a scary feeling and thought. It took me 6 weeks to decompress. I don’t ever want to go through that again. I need to put guardrails in place to prevent this.
could you do a video on depersonalization/derelization not many people speak on this ive been going through this for over 4 years and it feels like its getting worse over time.
Awesome tips. Thanks for sharing Pharm
My pleasure 😊
lack of early deep sleep

This video was great! I get burnout all the time - it just seems like part of my personality tbh lol - I like doing loads of things and running my own business then after a month an a half burn out a for a week or two then same thing again lmao

I was burnt out was cuz the pressure that I was not enough grew
Thanks man!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
I used to have friends at school and they were fucking evil and they only cared about them selves they are inconsiderate and ignorant and they never put others first. I’m one of those people who try to be nice and then people betray me and I kept forgiving them.
Fantastic! So we'll described. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
I feel stuck. I’m doing so much school and no option to take a break.
Iam 17 and Iam already burnt out like shit from life. It's literally so bad that I don't have the motivation to even move a limb. I just feel like sleeping forever (not die). And it scared me so bad that I got anxiety because iam just 17 iam not supposed to be feeling like this . I need someone or something to just be my savior and pull me out of this. It was overtime but lockdown made it worse. I put too much effort grinding video games got burnt out from them . Took online jobs . Worked like a maniac. Lost motivation to work. It became a disorder now. I don't seem to enjoy anything anymore. idk where to seek help. And what type of doctors to see
Anybody else experience extreme memory loss from this? For example, you have a look at the text you sent your colleague about a month ago and have no recollection of sending it. Chances are, I'll have no recollection of sending this comment either lol
Burnout in business is when you work harder but aren't getting better results.
Thank you so much 😊 I will definitely try it out xoxo 😚

I tried to click on the building resilience length and it did not bring me to anything that could help me find the actual article or anything like that.
Thanks for letting my know, I have updated the link, hope it helps :)
My brain is thought less in last 7 months, 😢😢
Could avoidance and detachment or escapism be a result of burn out?
Can burn out last over a year?
What is the difference between burn out and a mental break down?
Detachment is an actual symptom of burnout so it could be both actually, but i think it’s burnout, get help from friends or family or try to give yourself some time to fix your stress/ detachment problem. If you need any help tell me
First year university and everything is online and then there was a problem with my schedule so I had to take a full sem worth of courses over the summer and maintain a 4.0 for scholarship as well as work full time. Literally do not have a life. I have not been in this type of rut in so long. I don't eat, shower, or do anything. All I do is sit and play video games 12-13 hours a day. I am potentially failing a class and all my other classes gpa's are a lot lower than wanted. I am doomed.
PS Love your bloopers
The term burnout was not originally from nasa it’s from tires
I am in a bad state but i caught it early so i think is time to change something
I hope my tips help you get better soon!
Awesome video, I want to be a pharmacist do you guys know all about what drugs to take for conditions? Seems so cool to me

Wheres the test links?
Same story as me man Im struggling to get past burnout since my work load is increasing more and this year is my final year
Very helpful and thank you!
I feel like I hve some of the symptoms sometimes!
Hope my tips help Salandal

how to remove the "stress" when it lives with you lol (parents)
You can try to find why they are stressing you and fix it Or pretend that you're fixing it so they can get away from you a little bit
@@malikabouazza859 thank you for trying to help, but it's something I don't really have control over, I guess my best option is to move out or have a week's rest somewhere far from them...

so what when youre feeling like this about life and not about work?
I am burnout and very sad and very unproductive right now and i dont have the motivations to work
Its a bit like a grid thats in high demand but is not been repaired and unless it gets repaired with the rihht parts and maintained to the right standard it will not recover
What if the stresser is your family i can't exactly get away from them
@UCQCo1wUT7rhCc0Mg3UeuSLg no I wouldn't say that it just they've been putting a lot of responsibility on my shoulders well they do nothing to help me in return
I’m here because of a burnout song I found and ended up relating to way too much
I am in 5th stage of burn out what should i do?
My lecturer in pharmacy post this on our uni website
Hey, i found this video in my recommendation,
that's seems like God recommend it to help me...
I really needed it and I didn't know that this is like
an illness, that happened to me some years ago
but I got over it, it is back now.... I don't know what
should I do... I lost my motivation and I'm not living
my life... I say to myself that I'm stupid because I
can't do anything good and I should be like "i was
before" but I can't... Why? What should I do?(except going to a psychologist, my parents wouldn't let me do that)
Sorry for my English I'm not very good
To all of you struggling, I understand and I pray you get the strength to fight for your life 🙏 ❤ 💪 try to remember who you used to be, and lit fake it til it comes natural again bc one of the biggest obstacles, is wanting to try. So this might be my 2nd time overtraining my Muscles and while I was at the gym I could actually feel when it happened, my work out was harder to do & I felt Fatigued. Will my Muscles go back to normal?
What if you're burnt out from a toxic job and don't have anymore PTO? I am trying to get into a new job (been stuck at mine for just short of a DECADE and having trouble getting interviews for somewhere new) but it sucks to think I can't really afford to take time off in between to get refreshed first...
I have been lazy throughout my teen years but as i became an engineering college student i had to really change myself and start to work for long hours for a long period .
1) MEDITATE (20 mins early in the morning and before you sleep.)
2) EXERCISE (5days per week)
3) EAT CLEAN (eat oily fish, nuts , and citrus fruits)
4) LISTEN TO MELODIC SONGS AND WATCH GOOD MOVIES .
5) TAKE A DAY OFF IN A WEEK
6) TAKE COLD SHOWERS
7) PLAN YOUR WORK , DON'T LET IT PILE UP.
8) START LISTENING TO SADHGURU IN YOUR FREE TIME
