I have most of the proof sovereigns from 1979 to 1999, all purchased from a local coin dealer at spot + 2%. My costs ranged from a low of CDN$139.15, (1995) to CDN$655.71, (2023), as the gold market progressed upwards. My current cost would be CDN$862.54, so I am taking a break from gold buying. My first sovereigns cost me a bit under CDN$9 back in 1969.
@@meteoman7958 that's some crazy price increases over the years. Don't blame you taking a break, I am by proxy as well just because of the cost for gold
I think most would agree with you , it's hard to buy at this time.. maybe people will be going to half Sovereigns and tenth Britt's ... the price of gold seems to have risen over inflation now... only time will tell ... it may just keep going up!

@@chrisb.h4605 it's good for those who have a decent stack already, but for those still starting out it makes it a lot harder to get into stacking.
Gold price will hold as long as there is so much global unrest and uncertainty. Inflation is still an issue in most economies as well!
@@darkelf2674 true, and global unrest doesn't look like it's getting any better
You have some nice sovereign gold. 👍
