This is video 2 of 3 in my #RaceToTheRodRun series. We finished a massive part of this project that has been hanging over us for a while now (pun intended). Completing this portion of the build should allow us to move on to getting the final touches finished and hopefully have the car ready for the Rod Run. Make sure you are subscribed so you can find out next week if the Nova gets finished in time.

I think you'll get it done, it's cool that it's something you're doing yourself instead of getting some shop to do it, more pride in it that way. BUILT NOT BOUGHT!

How did you get the rear bumper aligned? I have the same problem when I put my new one on?

We used shims between the bumper mount and the body. We put shims on the upper bolts on the driver side (stack of 3) to get it away from the taillight a little bit. We put shims on the lower bolts on the passenger side (stack of 6) to get the bottom of the bumper to push out some which allowed the top side of the bumper to pull in closer the the taillight when the bolts were tightened.
The number of shims you would need may vary. I just included the amount we used so you would have a place to start if this is the method you go with for aligning the bumper.
