Our minds like to play tricks on us, bringing up events from the past or creating new future scenarios that cause us emotional turmoil. Such intrusive thoughts aren't always of our creation - they can sometimes be caused by our surrounding environment.
Think of thought forms as clouds of bacteria. If you are in an environment that is full of people thinking certain vibrational thoughts, then being in the proximity of those thoughts will allow them to enter your mind and infect you.
As a result, your thoughts aren't really your own. Judging yourself because of something you can't control - your thoughts, is putting unnecessary blame on yourself where it is unneeded. Instead, it is better to face these thoughts with forgiveness and love, not just towards yourself but to other people.
If you find yourself in a situation where you are reminiscing old traumatic events from your past, know that the voice you hear is your wounded inner child speaking. It will blame an external person, the 'abuser' for what happened.
In reality, the best way to heal this wound is to forgive yourself for allowing that situation to occur. In that moment, you did your best with what little experience and knowledge you had. You didn't know what you know now, so why judge yourself? Why blame yourself when you did the best you could to your ability? Why demand more of yourself, when you should be asking for less?
Forgive yourself and allow yourself off the hook. Doing this will set you on the path to finding self love, and also forgiving others that have and will wrong you. That will help you reach peace of mind and emotional stability, which will make happiness and positive thoughts that much easier to come by.
