Your heat theory has a fundemental flaw. They dont have an overheating problem unless the radiator is plugged, or the belly gaurds are full to the floor boards, or a thermostat is not opening or the little vent valve in the thermostat housing has fallen to bits. Moving the exhaust wont achieve anything but more noise.
Remote Control Technologies (RCT) did their first full-size RC dozer for OK Tedi Mine in 1993. Might be possible to run the dozer remotely from the air-conditioned caravan one day. The D11N at idle sounds like a Cat powered train waiting at the Railway station. Akubra needs to Matt and Mitch matching hats.
The concept makes sense. After you see if you get rid of the heat. Then you can just reconnect it with the factory pipes out of the hood and just make a tin heat shield in place of the mufflers. I believe the factory resonator coming out from the hood would make a big difference in the sound alone. But just getting the pipes above the cab will make a big difference in the sound.
So just curious why y'all didn't pull the muffles out and straight pipe up to the existing exhausts, would save the chance of burns and still should remove the heat, plus she will be able to breathe better without the back pressure of the mufflers giving her a little more grunt
Seeing as you are experimenting, what if the air intakes were higher and catch air away from the hot hood area ? Maybe check the temps from the intake position's as they are and then take a measurement from higher uo ,as if it was an air intake stack . There is a RUclips channel, Dirt Perfect, and he has built exhausts uaing square tube , something different and they can blend into cab shapes . You definitely need tall exhaust pipes to take hot air away from the hood area and intakes .
@thejacksonbrothers ha ha ha ha ha, obviously obvious I am showing my age, ha ha ha 😂 my father 👨 and I definitely wouldn't get on like your dad, he is definitely a jewel 😄 😀 😉. AUSSIE AUSSIE OI OI, 😀.
Straight pipe it threw the original pipes threw the bonnet an wrap the pipes in muffer wrap stop heat an have it looking an working good without it looking mad max out the side molested...I love this Chanel but sometimes I'm left shaking my head .
That's what I'm talking about, let the big cat purr !!!
"Hey Phil what do you think of the new exhaust?" ........."WHAT?" :D I love it, sounds great

My thoughts exactly, have run them in the desert in California with no problem
WOW!!! That sounds absolutely fantastic. Well through my phone it does. Love it 😀. Thanks for sharing 👍
G'day awesome straight pipe everything on the farm 👍
That engine sounds sick
What’s next Peter, an 8V92 in the old Fergie?😂
Buzzin dozen
That sounds beautiful. Let the eagles soar... love that v8 sound. 😊
Next to the door like that, it'll be handy to hold on to while you get in ;-)
Especially if you are filming at the time.
Don’t hold it on the way out😂
You win 🎉 the international red neck award today! I don't know if the motor is running cooler, but i got chills.

Dad sticking the measuring tape thru the holes @1:25 is hilarious, super eager to straight pipe the thing!
When Matt hit that key, l couldn't help myself, just had to smile. Just so long as l never have to operate one.
Now that is a CAT purring.
Finally someone is wearing a decent hat!
A bonus video this week.. I was not expecting the video until Saturday.

Can’t wait to hear tiny 1 with it straight piped at full load 😊awesome 😂
Burn your back getting in and out of the cab lol you’ll be right put the earplugs in 😂
Well that's got to be more fun than spraying weeds.🤣
Get Phil a set of earmuffs and tell him to man up....That's pure music.
Awesome sound 👍👍
See how long it takes for someone to brand themselves on the hot exhaust, with them right outside the door.
Spot on. But if it works I guess the pipes will be re-routed through the bonnet.
They’ll only do that once
Love your channel. Thanks for sharing...
Great video Matt Peter Mitchell Brad JD and Phil
Love it..sounds like a freight train..
You two buggers working together are dangerous, its o wonder Phil and Brad want to disown you both on this particulate project.
When I worked in the sawmill, I operated the chipper, the noise was 140 decibels, 12 shifts, it could chip a 6 metre log 80 cm wide in 3 seconds, 😊😊😊.
No need to do the next video. We can hear it from all other parts of australia😄
You should take the D11 to the tractor pulls
I never get exhausted watching you mob. Or listening to those brutes (D11s).🙃
Hey up Matt why do you have the overheating problems in first place
So just curious why y'all didn't pull the muffles out and straight pipe up to the existing exhausts, would save the chance of burns and still should remove the heat, plus she will be able to breathe better without the back pressure of the mufflers giving her a little more grunt

🎉I think it's a good idea..
I would turn the flange from turbo and shoot the pipes straight up through the bonnet.
Big boys and their toys, age doesn't come into it either.
Hello 👋 Mitchell
cut a hole in the hood enjoy all your video Texas cotton farmer be safe God bless you bless.
What about the extra radiant heat right next to the glass. The cooling system should really be doing the work.
Nice 🤠
This is to good boys😂
Boy Racers ,next you'll be adding NOS
Just put a thick heat shield under the muffler body and that'll be quieter and cooler and not look like a dog's breakfast.
What about the exhaust venturi for the air filters
If we want this to be permanent we would plumb those in👍
What are you doing about the scavengers for the air cleaners? Will they be plumbed into the straight pipes?
Yeah we decided to cross that bridge when we got there😂 if we want it permanent then we would have too👍
3dB is a doubling in power, but you need a 10dB increase for a doubling of perceived volume.
Family politics are very simple, what ever dad 👨 says goes, ha ha ha, 😅😅😅😅.
Or dad has a loose leash🤔
@thejacksonbrothers ha ha ha ha ha, obviously obvious I am showing my age, ha ha ha 😂 my father 👨 and I definitely wouldn't get on like your dad, he is definitely a jewel 😄 😀 😉. AUSSIE AUSSIE OI OI, 😀.
I'm surprised at the pulsing through the turbo. I would think the turbo would have smoothed it out more.
You need to think about a spark arrestor
If you are taking the mufflers off just send the pipe through the bonnet in the original holes
That’s the plan if we want to make it permanent👍
Please video Phil's reaction
@dannaomif1255 yes I would love to see that too 👍
Go the x-pipe for more torque
Unfortunately I can't hear it in the subtitles :-(
A little bit of flex out of the first bend would take the movement out
Why don't you get rid of mufflers all together and run the 90 straight out bonnet
Lucky they are not GM powered it would sound great from a safe distance but blow you out of the cab when working.
Are you sure the engines ok ?doesn’t sound good.
Just like a bought one.
And I thought they sounded good with the proper bits n pices...
10 inch chrome stacks... Just like the 'compensators' on the Hume Highway...
Straight pipe it threw the original pipes threw the bonnet an wrap the pipes in muffer wrap stop heat an have it looking an working good without it looking mad max out the side molested...I love this Chanel but sometimes I'm left shaking my head .
That’s the plan if it works👍
@thejacksonbrothers oh thank god we have clarification on that lol .
Not going to help unfortunately. It could be a range of things but it ain’t mufflers in the engine bay.
Why not put muffler on outside then up over cab
