Just listening to the music on its own doesn't do it justice, it needs the *METROID PRIME 2: ECHOES* letter entering sounds to be complete . Here's to hoping Prime 2 gets Remastered for Switch. Just so I can see this BEAUTIFUL title screen in HD
I'm so glad you did it in this way. I used to leave this title screen on just looping while I did things like homework or build legos. Hearing the sound effects of the title appearing on top of the music is ingrained in me and brought back more memories than just hearing the song does.
If fans were able to convince Nintendo to remake Majora's Mask after Ocarina of Time, I hope we can convince them to remake this one after Prime 1. I think Prime 2 has aged better than 1.
I booted up Metroid Dread the other day, and when the title just kind of glitched in I was like, "...that's it?" I immediately thought of this intro. THIS is how you start a scary Metroid game.
This game has the best title screen of the trilogy. Gives me chills every time I watch it. Kinda surprised that they put less effort into MP3C's title screen. One thing I would change is that I'd give it a bit more time to display the title before going into the demo gameplay footage.

They put less effort in MP3. The entire game is nothing more than a Wii motion control prototype. Remember, MP3 was one of the first games for the Wii. They spent more than an entire year just to get the motion controls to work. The gameplay and story suffered from that. MP1 and MP2 are much, much better quality. MP3 is the odd one out.

There is no title screen now, nor will there EVER be, that comes even remotely close to matching the unparalleled awesomeness of this game's title screen.
I thought certain bits were Grenchlers, I thought it was showing bits of different enemies which stole your items but as I grew up I did realize they were in fact Ing body parts all around
I remember getting this game pre-owned when I was a kid, only ever heard of Metroid in a magazine, but not much else. Put this in and it blew my 10 year old mind, it was otherworldy but immensely cool at the same time. I had a lot of good memories playing this, even the multiplayer.
The loss of this title screen is the only real regret I have regarding the Trilogy version. I get it, there's no need for a player to go through two titles screens, that's just padding. But even so, this title screen just does it for me. As the "Metroid" of the title erupts across the screen, the sound it makes gives me chills.
Everything about this game's packaging, theming, menus, advertisements just feels like you're being slapped in the face with the game's budget. Feel the money on your face.
The trilogy needs to come out on Switch already! Markomaro I hope you're right with your recent leak of a "Metroid Prime Collection" finally coming to the Switch early 2022. I could than finally retire my Wii.

Although there are many amazing tunes in video games I still think this song does a better job at accomplishing its goal than any other. It gives you chills, fills you with hope, fear, and dread, it sounds alien, and also sounds fantastic despite that. If this was the music screen for a horror game I would never get past this music.

When I was a kid, i remember watching my dad playing super metroid on the snes, i didnt get at all what was the point of the game back then. Years later after the wii came out, my dad bought me a copy of Metroid prime 2 for christmas, at first I was a lil bit dissapointed that it wasnt another game, but I tryed it anyways. I will never forget this opening, the menu, and gorgeous atmosphere this master piece. After that i became a fan i played all the other titles as soon as i can. I love/like all of them (even other m and galactic federation), but to me Metroid Prime 2 as an introductory to the franchise is an always will be my favorite metroid, and this opening is legendary.
It's amazing how this game managed to stand alongside MP1 carrying the same DNA but yet so iconic in its own way. Ridiculous how little these games come into discussions.

The motions graphics artists had an absolute field day with this game. It oozes with passion. I hope Prime 4 will continue this legacy, because such intros are so rare nowadays.

Yea there are some aspects of Dread where you can tell it was a bit of a rushed production. Still a great game! But a lil rushed here and there.
