    I really hope they don't hit bloodcrushers. I know they're fantastic but god 220 for 6 bloodcrushers already feels so expensive having them at 240 or 260 would kill me

    Could see crushers and the gift going up.
    Be'lakor possibly coming down a little more. Fiends, Drones, Battle-line, possibly chariots all coming down for internal balance.
    Oh and the obligatory 10 point drop for Soul Grinders for no reason!

    I hope bloodletters go down rather a bloodcrushers go up, although I suspect both will happen.
    Speaking of unfavourable comparisons; I find comparing Daemonettes to even Hormagaunts to be laughable, and Hormagaunts can pretty easily become S4 as well just by being in Psynapse range. Or comparing them to Genestealers (admittedly Genestealers aren't battleline).

      @@OniFeez I mean we all eant stuff to go down and nothing to go up, sadly that's not how it always go 😅

      @@TrueDaemonLord As I said elsewhere, the main problem imo with our battleline imo is that they are just... broken. How can you have a dedicated melee unit with T3 (or T4) with a 5++ and have people go: oh, that's tasty. It needs a rethink imo. I would argue that all our battleline suffer this sort of issue although details vary.

      @@OniFeez honestly it's our index in general.
      The internal balance is incredibly busted and most of our units are just not great.

    Dataslate seems quite likely on the 17th, due to blood angels coming out the following saturday.
    Would nice to see battleline units being more usable.
    Could be interesting to see some rules changes, turning bloodletters into 2 wounds would be nice, make them more like space marines or atleast allow reinforcing the squads back up to 20.

      Your ideas are out there, I'm with OP here. His predictions make a lot of sense but I would like to see broader points reductions on chariots and tzeentch heralds, possibly soul grinders and princes. There are too many of these meh datasheets in the codex

    • @TrueDaemonLord
      @TrueDaemonLord  Месяц назад +1

      @@nacktmuell123 I 100% agree with all of these changes, chariots and prince's really need drops, I tried to stay realistic and focus on what I see as the biggest issues for us.
      Let's hope if GW do hit our best stuff in the gift and crushers, they continue to fix the god awful internal balance they gave us in our index by fixing what should be our core.

    Sadly I don't think both shalaxi and daemonettes will get cheaper than 20 pts each, they won't let them combine for under 500 pts so you can't ally shalaxi in a 2k game

    • @TrueDaemonLord
      @TrueDaemonLord  Месяц назад +1

      @@Mt.Helbane This comment right here highlight something that legitimately angers me.
      The fact that you have to think about our units in other armies rather than just focusing on our faction.

    • @Mt.Helbane
      @Mt.Helbane Месяц назад

      @@TrueDaemonLord that's fair, but personally I started daemons originally because I can run them in other chaos armies, don't get me wrong, I play daemons more than anything else. But now I'm up to a knight and 4 war dogs to, you mentioned in the video how playing daemons can start to feel stale and allies can change that up for any army. Soon I'm gonna be working on god specific Marines, and the ability to have shalaxi in an EC army would be awesome and I hope we can, I just don't see it

    • @TrueDaemonLord
      @TrueDaemonLord  Месяц назад +1

      @@Mt.Helbane see I've been playing Daemons mostly solely with execption of some souping things in 8th/9th since their first codex at the end of 4th, so as a pure veteran Daemon player it angers me seeing the allied shit 😅

    • @Mt.Helbane
      @Mt.Helbane Месяц назад

      @@TrueDaemonLord haha that's fair, but as a newer player who doesn't have the nostalgic memories of daemons I think chaos should have a mix. Now don't get me wrong, kono Slaanesh is my fav, but but from a comparatively newbie standpoint at least, it feels like not allying is like choosing to run 1 god. Why have effectively no shooting when I can run triple wardogs or a knight despoiler? Just one example, but it can add a whole different feel to your list which we don't get much of.

    • @Mt.Helbane
      @Mt.Helbane Месяц назад

      @@TrueDaemonLordhopefully *when* the codex comes out they have allied costs like agents, would give a benefit to running mono daemons and would still allow some daemons to pop up in CSM, etc, downside tho would be you likely couldn't run every single daemon like you can now (with the exception of shalaxi due to pt cost with daemonettes)

  • @joncarr5545
    @joncarr5545 Месяц назад

    The video is fun but lacks any nuance. You’re comparing units who specifically have different roles as if they were the same. Take a Keeper vs Shalaxi. A Keeper scythes any and all infantry but doesn’t want to fight monsters and vehicles. Shalaxi is the opposite.
    Comparing Shalaxi to a BT is also off. She’s hyper focused on a specific role while he can do both since he has a -2/2dmg sweep. A Rendmaster makes that -3/3 so he just annihilates elite infantry. But his strike is still bonkers at -4AP base. Shalaxi caps at -3 which is only buffed via CP. this matters a lot into 2+ save vehicles who pop a defensive strat.
    That’s just his weapons. He also has mortal wounds and +1 to hit to all Khorne. Massive for Bloodletters and Crushers.
    I could go on but the unit comparison and points commentary should take into account diverse or hybrid or specific unit rolls.

    • @TrueDaemonLord
      @TrueDaemonLord  Месяц назад +1

      @@joncarr5545 I appreciate the comment!
      Though I feel you've completely over analysed what I said making a claim that I'm wrecklessly acting as if these units are the same, which is wildly inaccurate, especially in regards to Shalaxi/the Keeper as while I highlight differences and yes I say comparison, I'm talking more in the general sense, not the level of damage or general role of course As I've highlighted in past videos! Though also, comparing Shalaxi and thirsters as big damage brawlers is not an incorrect thing to do, and again other comparisons are more so for general reference. The comparisons of her to Angron and Magnus is the sense that she fills the role of big damage dealing monsters like they both do.
      Again in past videos I delve more deep into units roles within lists/the army.
      This video however, while naturally bring in units that may not be the subject of the topic, is more about dataslate predictions rather then an all in one everything Daemon in one video as the comment insinuates.
      Again I appreciate the comment and this is a very good comment for people new or not very experienced with the faction though and so hopefully helps people in those situations if they read it! 😀
