You know I still can't get over that Peter Cullen not only did the narrations of the opening theme songs of both the Lion and Vehicle Voltron series but he also voiced Commander Hawkins for the Vehicle series too.

A lot of folks don’t know but for some reason vehicle voltron aired first in some areas and lion aired first in others. That’s why we have this dividing line of who likes what. Lol. Which ever one you saw first is the one you probably loved.

Man I remember when my Mom Bro n bought the Voltron Lions from the SwapMeet bang spanking new, and when the Vehicle Voltron came out I got it for my birthday, after everytime I played with I would put it back in the box, about 20yrs ago times came rough around the recession and I had to sell it just to get by, I felt like half of my childhood died that day, I told myself when I get back on my feet with a steady job I'm buying it back, 6yrs ago I found one in immaculate condition but with NO box....my childhood is back and complete & I'll be 47yrs old in 3 weeks....LIFe is good

We used to rent a lot of movies and my older bro picked ups some cartoons. Among them, probably my first anime (excluding abysmal italian dub of Yattaman that was on tv back then): General Daimos and random episodes of Vehicle Voltron. I don't remember Daimos at all, but I still remember air, ground and water teams, their commanders, venusian frigates and "I'll form THE head". Few years later, when Sailor Moon and Dragonball brought anime to polish mainstream (kickstarting, what many think was golden age of anime in polish tv) Voltron finally made into one of the channels. I was suprised that it was called the same, but there were lions, not a swarm of vehicles to create Voltron. I learned, that there was never anime called Voltron. It was two shows, patchworked by muricans into one show, with lion voltron being first and vehicle being second. I still think that second one was better. Some time ago, I've watched 2 first seasons of rebooted Voltron on polish netflix. Was even kind of into it, but had to wait entire year for new seasons. When they finally hit, I kind of lost interest already and moved to another show. Maybe it's for the best, as I've heard it went downwards in latter seasons with tumblr infecting it.

Why did the air team have to separate? They pretty much had the head, upper arms and torso of Voltron already assembled. Just that red ship (that was pretty much useless as a part of Voltron) needed to change position.
I gave this a shot back in the day but it couldnt really hold my interest. My cousin loved it tho. He was always watching anime like this and Robotech and Tranzor Z, Macron One, etc.

I could be imagining It ...but I thought I saw a Clip of two Voltrons Teaming up to fight a enemy that was so strong it needed two Voltrons to fight it............I don't know maybe I imagined it.
It was adapted from Japanese anime shows, and eventually the Lion one ran out of episodes to adapt so they had to switch to a different show. The show the Lion one was created from, Golion only had 52 episodes.
Instead of reboot, consider watching the original Japanese material, "Dairugger Armored Fleet XV". 'Voltron' was heavily edited for an American children's audience. The base series had greater emotional impact due to death and conclusive ending that were whitewashed in the US

Zyuranger, on which Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is based, did come after the Japanese cartoons that were adapted into Voltron, but since both products were based upon the Super Sentai concept introduced by Japanese production company Toei in 1975 (who also produced Zyurangers, Beast King GoLion, and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV) technically neither can be considered a "rip off" of the other.
If Vehicle Voltron hadn't flopped, there would have been a third Voltron. The Lion Voltron was from the far universe and Vehicle Voltron was from the near universe. The third Voltron was supposed to have been from the mid universe.
This mech will and always be Dairugger for me, not because it is not a good show, the og anime is very good but because I can not accept the idea that they used the same name and intro again, very very lazy from their part. One way that they could make it work even better is if they said that they build the robot just in case they need to fight the Lion Voltron or in case Voltron was defeated(as it was for a short time with the Comet) and they could though another name, Dairtron, Startron,Cartron hell, they could have kept the original name, that way no kid would be confused and it could sell as a part of the Voltron Mythos and be its own thing as well.
In the Voltron Mythos, Galaxy Garrison created Vehicle Voltron to defend the solar system from the 2nd wave of Drules since the original Lion Voltron was fighting the 1st wave far out on Arus
I saw the lion one first and even though i loved this one as well, they never gave any reason or there was no logical plot to tie them in that i remember so it made no sense as to why??

Because it was adapted from two entirely seperate anime shows, Golion and Dairugger XV. Both of them on their own only had about 50 episodes which wasn't enough for syndication. So they had to combine the two shows.
Absolutely correct. I found it hard to follow. I didn't even know about it until one Saturday night I stayed up late and seen it on KPLR channel 11 in St Louis and was like WTF. I called a friend the next day and told him about it and he called me a liar. Lol

Zyuranger, on which Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is based, did come after the Japanese cartoons that were adapted into Voltron, but since both products were based upon the Super Sentai concept introduced by Japanese production company Toei in 1975 (who also produced Zyurangers, Beast King GoLion, and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV) technically neither can be considered a "rip off" of the other.
If Vehicle Voltron hadn't flopped, there would have been a third Voltron. The Lion Voltron was from the far universe and Vehicle Voltron was from the near universe. The third Voltron was supposed to have been from the mid universe.
If i recall right, it was supposed to be the Earth Voltron
Just as the Lion force Voltron series was based on the Anime Golion this is based on the anime Dairugger XV

Vehicle Voltron was always my favorite. The Lion Voltron episodes were too cheesy and kid-oriented. The Vehicle episodes were more mature-themed.

This mech will and always be Dairugger for me, not because it is not a good show, the og anime is very good but because I can not accept the idea that they used the same name and intro again, very very lazy from their part.
One way that they could make it work even better is if they said that they build the robot just in case they need to fight the Lion Voltron or in case Voltron was defeated(as it was for a short time with the Comet) and they could though another name, Dairtron, Startron,Cartron hell, they could have kept the original name, that way no kid would be confused and it could sell as a part of the Voltron Mythos and be its own thing as well.
In the Voltron Mythos, Galaxy Garrison created Vehicle Voltron to defend the solar system from the 2nd wave of Drules since the original Lion Voltron was fighting the 1st wave far out on Arus
It was a side issue for me to like this version of the Voltron series.
I saw the lion one first and even though i loved this one as well, they never gave any reason or there was no logical plot to tie them in that i remember so it made no sense as to why??

Because it was adapted from two entirely seperate anime shows, Golion and Dairugger XV. Both of them on their own only had about 50 episodes which wasn't enough for syndication. So they had to combine the two shows.

Absolutely correct. I found it hard to follow. I didn't even know about it until one Saturday night I stayed up late and seen it on KPLR channel 11 in St Louis and was like WTF. I called a friend the next day and told him about it and he called me a liar. Lol
