Someone did this same process for my home course in Waunakee, WI (Meadows of Six Mile Creek). Pakman designed that course as well. He did a really great job with it. It's fun to play a sim course where you know all the gotchas.
Great looking course, hey if you have a min I have a GSPro question for you. I have looked everywhere and cant find the answer to my issue. Somehow I have turned off the distance and elevation change tile when my ball is on the green. So if there are multiple players the only way to get that information is to shoot the pin with the range finder - very cumbersome. What keystroke of game setting will bring that necessary data back to my screen? HELP anyone watching this great channel.
@@friendly_golfer Tou nailed it! No one on the faceybook group knew but got the correct answer HERE! Now if only they would allow a on course custom skills challenge to be played all the way to the bottom of the hole like operation 36 courses. I’ll be anxious to here how often you choose your local course over all the choices in GSPro
Is there anyway you can keep the data tiles at the top right from getting cutoff when you hit? I like to see all those stats. No worries if not, just wanted to ask.
I can but I’ve been experimenting with this style that fills the whole screen lately. Good to know that some people like to see that so I’ll see what we can come up with in the future maybe.
@@KayakFishingAddict It's probably a few different things. I usually play with wind turned off because I want to see my true ball flight. Even if I'm in rough or a crazy lie it's still perfect in the sim so I can hit a better shot than I would in real life. I usually play with a 5 or 6ft gimme circle which is not realistic. Also, there's a setting called putting assist that is on by default. Putting assist adjusts your start line (HLA) for shorter putts to help with inconsistency of some launch monitors. For example, you may start the ball 2* right but with putting assist on it will adjust it to 0.5* right if the putt is under 15ft (don't remember the exact distance). So you could turn the wind up, turn putting assist off, and make the gimme circle as small as it can be (1or 2ft) and the scores might be a little closer to realistic.
🤣 thank you! I suspected that so I will find some other background music to switch things up. I’d be fine with none but I’ve got all this noise from my air conditioner in the summer…
I would say 8-10 strokes better on the sim. Real life is usually low 80’s and sim is usually E or 1 or 2 over. The conditions and course on the sim can still make a big difference.
I guess I mentioned it a little bit but not much. It’s incredible how much I end up in the same spots on the course. It shouldn’t be surprising but somehow it was. It also confirmed for me how tight my course is with the OB on every hole. It was more obvious comparing to other GSPro courses than in real life where you don’t get to see a Birds Eye view of each hole with OB lines. The important thing seemed to be getting the “in-play” trees right since Pakman can’t really see how tall a tree is from a satellite image. There were several holes like #1 where we went back and made certain trees bigger to block angles. If we hadn’t done that it would have been easier to play the hole differently than real life.

Well done! Pretty cool having your home course to play.
Thanks!
What’s the laptop model please and do you run 1080 ultra?
I thought you had the c-series add on. with the cable across the bottom
I did but I switched over to the SIG10 a few months ago to do the review. I'll be doing a Carl's vs SIG comparison video sometime soon.

Thanks for the kind words! Go to Visual Settings and make sure that “Hide Distance Banner on Green” is NOT checked. That should fix it.

How do you zoom into the green?
J key
@@friendly_golfer Thanks!
How do you get the heat map up
Is there a site that list all the function keys/hot keys
Heat map is Y. Hit Tab to pull up all the hot keys.

How did your final score compare to what you normally shoot in real life on that course?
Real life average rounds are low 80's and on the sim it's low 70's. Usually around even par.
@@friendly_golfer Is putting the difference? Wind/weather conditions? I'm just wondering if there's a way to get SIM golf to match reality.

Man i love your videos but that music on repeat is like a form of torture 😂

I concur. 😂
I kinda like it 😂
Nice video thanks. how does your score on this course in GSpro compare to what you do there in real life?
Real life average is low 80’s
Nice Round sir! Par on 11 is world class! I never do well on that hole.
Thanks! That green is just not fair!
How are your scores on the sim versus real life? Average? I assume better on sim?

I was eager to hear your thoughts on how the simulator course played compared to your on course experience. Wasn’t that the whole point?

What does it cost to have a course built on GS Pro
It depends on the designer's pricing and the level of detail that you request. The range is probably anywhere from $800 - $2500.
how does your scores compare to real life? sorry if yoiu explain it in the vid, I asked before watching😉
I didn’t. My real life average here is low 80’s. On the sim I’m usually a couple over par to even.
