- Zu is the huge bird that you encounter in Chapter 1 in the game Final Fantasy 15 (FFXV). From that point on, you encounter Zu multiple times, and video shows every encounter with Zu. If you have God Mode, you can try to ascertain where Zu goes and see that he goes to a rocky place to sleep. You then get a very close encounter while trying to obtain certain gems near the big bird. Later, you can actually locate Zu's nest (and eggs). Finally, video shows a boss fight with Zu, where you can try to obtain his Zu Beak Drop for magic creation potions (limit break). Just to clarify: Bird we' seeing in Ch1 is not Zu but Bennu - we can fight with it in the Legendary weapons quest series and it's slightly harder than Zu from Hunt quests in my opinion.

Same thing happened to me I find eggs and a giant open area then I remember a certain giant bird from the beginning of the game. thought it would swoop down and attack me but it didn't lol

I loved fighting zu, that was one of my favorite bosses to fight, then the path leads to a badass new weapon and an awesome view
Most people grind it for the Zu Beak magic limit break
Adamantoise farm is probably quicker to be honest u get either one adamantite or three adamantoise meat or both of ur really lucky. And both have limit break for magic

You do get more swirling swords if you got more, so probably yes.
How did you do that with the amiger? The flying part? Is that something you are able to do when you find all the royal arms?

I don't know what happened or how it happened but the Zu was never around its nest whenever I visited. It did appear randomly before all over, as did the other monsters...

The Zu is humongous but only gives you 1 piece of its meat after it gets defeated. The foods you can cook with it though are quite good for making critical hits.

I did all the hunts and the birds quest was never there, I was hoping to see it in the volcano during the main quest as a storyline mini boss after I saw a video of it there in one of the trailers.
So It IS a HUNT! I went there this week and haven't triggered his arrival at the location... So I need to advance more in the game, it seems!

Works on Adamantoise, but it can take a few tries. Apparently there’s a 1% chance for the Alterna to work , but I’ve gotten it on the first try and after 50.
The hunt is optional I found it looking for a royal arms

Yes, whenever you restart the bounty hunt from the tipster. A trick is to camp at the campsite at Rock of Ravatogh. Put your car at the tipster. Then use the map->go to car to restart bounty hunt. Then use the map->go to last resting place to go to Zu bird. Repeat for Zu beak or Zu tenders
