Do you NEED mods to follow along? Not really, as most of my usage is just quality-of-life stuff - the simulation and economy isn't tweaked. In case you do want to be able to do all the things I do though, here are the essentials: ➡ To freely place growable buildings without them despawning, you will need Plop the Growables: mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/75826/Windows - and if you don't want to use the devMode tools to find the buildings, but want the lovely sleek interface I use, grab the Find It mod and its two requirements: mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/77240/Windows ➡ To freely place or tweak objects and ignore game boundaries that you otherwise have to enable in DevTools (such as placing trees anywhere you want), grab Anarchy: mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/74604/Windows, and combine it with Move It for complete control: mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/74324/Windows ➡ To place vehicles as props (such as the train cars I add to the railyards), grab the Vanilla Car Props Asset pack: mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/82254/Windows ➡ To create custom roads, paths, traintracks etc, grab Road Builder: mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/87190/Windows ➡ To specifically remove sub-elements (like the fences or hedges of parking lots or buildings), grab Better Bulldozer: mods.paradoxplaza.com/mods/75250/Windows That should cover the essentials - although the modding scene for Cities Skylines 2 seems to be growing quite fast! Hope you're all having a nice day
Firstly; great timing, I just got the game. But you know what I'd like as far as "guides" go? How to build a realistic small town/other small settlement, maybe then followed by how develop it, naturally, into a bigger settlement. I think it can be hard to scale everything to a smaller settlement. It's a much finer art than, say, master planning a city.
i’m so high right now, but this video is actually one of the best i’ve ever seen. you just gave me so much inspiration to play cs2!!! i want my city to look exactly like yours. this is so emotional like im about to go to university for a masters in urban planning like i don’t know man this video is so good.
Can’t believe this video came when it did, I was just lamenting that the vanilla path didn’t let you start with a train station and that I was going to go with an unlocked build + economy so it’s great to see it work. Honestly one of my fav vids, I love seeing vids that have to work with the economy.
Infra! I think it'd be pretty cool to add a ship wreckage a little far from the coast using the ship prop. I would say that because of this sinking of a large ship, sailing in these waters has become somewhat fearful and many shipping companies decided to abandon the city during the 80s-90s, causing the decline of this city - as trains were replaced by ships at the beginning of the 20th century
Bumping up parking fares will be a pretty good idea to generate profit. Its also pretty realistic as where I'm from downtown parking while is plenty available it's expensive
I mean I love the empty cul de sacs, but I dont get the point of the others, they are 100% as normal roundabout? They should add parking to cul de sacs
Two hour video? Hold my mic and grab my coffee, I've got a very important online event to attend to about city building presented by the Infrastructurist :D
Daang Infra, 2 hour video. This could be a week-long watch 😄 But it's good that you're trying new things in a way! I'm sure many people will appreciate a video like this
Bro dont sleep on Office, cities are not only reliant on industry, always there have been a lot of offices in the city, travel agencies, logistics, sales department, financial advisors and looots of other companies, reduce the tax to 9 and get that office profit going. 3 Blocks of office produce as much money as an industry half your city size, especially when leveled. Everything above 10 % drives your office copanies out of the city. Great Build though!
I hate that the typical American city looks like something on the East Coast. I know that the East Coast has more history and population, but like where im from Denver, you can't make anything that looks like it in Cities.
Well honestly with the current low residential assets, it doesnt look really like anywhere in the US or world. But there is an East Coast "region" asset pack coming. Wont include everything of course
The assets definitely work for where I am in Arvada where there are a lot of ranch homes but yeah you don’t get the lovely smaller houses on the outskirts of the city nor do you see any row houses here.

Infra cant wait for some Riverview again!

disable Grid snapping only.
Geometry snapping should be enabled to get it 100% in the middle
Infrastructurist has creating some of the dope masterpiece such as Riverview Megalopolis and Easthaven Metropolis❤️😎

Hopefully there is a part 2 and 3 and 4.
We probably will considering the USA region pack is coming. I'm surprised we got this before that.
Keep going❤ US cities are full of parking and endless suberb houses.
But can you get jacked here?
I really can’t wait for the USA East and West region packs. Sucks that we have to wait at least 2-3 months for them.
Ooh, another video! Goodie! 🔥✨
Can we get 2 diff city in one episode
