Glad to see a T-Rex on this channel. I have a few too.. but not just because of Jurassic Park.. rather cuz the T-Rex has always been my favorite dinosaur :D If Jurassic Park was a IRL thing.. the T-Rex would have been my main atraction to visit that park :D
Nice touch with the Jurassic electronica...lol...I like how the goat, adjustable wires and removable fauna help make the piece somewhat personalized in how you choose to display it, which is a nice touch.

I'm not into dinosaurs but I did like dinosaurs when I was a young kid but saying that, this piece looks amazing with nice skin tones and good texturing which looks like real dinosaur skin.

Agreed of it would have been stepping out of the paddock it would have been amazing. Spectacular piece none the less. I think this is a must have if you collect Jurassic Park or dinosaurs
Not sure if you ha e or was already on it, but send those lights out to a hobbyist who works on customs and get those lights on, very easy and cheap work to do

The Chronicle Collectibles one is actual made by Iron Studios. I had the one with just the T-Rex and the Jeep. I sent it back because the T-Rex didn't sit down all the way on the base. When I tried to get it to sit right the toe broke.

I've been thinking of buying this piece
I have this piece aswell. Got i from Prime 1's website last year. I switched out the wires, they are way to thin. I went and bought aluminum wires on eBay that were 2,5mm thick. Looks so much better, and much easier to bend too.

I have the iron studios rex and the size and pose really sold it for me. It bothered me that this rex was facing to the left. I can’t recall any scene where he was running towards the left aside the fence. I always remember It running towards grant and malcom racing right. Maybe I’m wrong but this statue turned out great!
Jurassic Park was mind blowing as a kid. Strong nostalgia for that movie.

This looks really nice. If I had to change something, I would make his finish matt. This gloss makes his skin looks fragile and froggy-like. I also would make his skin have some scales as they did on his face.
If there was a way to either display as-is or have him perpendicular so he is walking through the broken fence would have been cool. The straight-on profile is great looking so that would have been a great add.

Another great but to expensive piece haha. Luckily Iron Studios has some cheaper Velociraptors. Really hope to build a collection like yours one day!

Awesome review. I would like your opinion on the two T-rex rotundas. I really want to get one, but what do you think about Chronicle Collectibles vs Prime 1? They both look great. One is more money obviously and coming from over seas, but the other is only missing two raptors? I would greatly appreciate your insight in this matter. Thanks.

I definitely think this is a reasonable priced T-Rex compared to the diorama that looks awesome but $2,500 is a big hit. I think this one looks really cool especially for the money

The face is immense detailed
mine having trouble plugging in the front leg, the hole was too small for the pin, i have to drill the hole bigger myself to solve the problem. Anyway, like you said, not a perfect statue, but good and awesome enough. If they spend more effort on paint job, i could bring the whole thing to the next level
Cool piece, the T. Rex would also look equally cool without the movie base, fence etc, on a Cretaceous period style base, I like the 'tyrant king' alot. Cheers, 8-)

I just hate the pose. Not for me because of that.
I have the large diorama and it is... LARGE. Beautiful, but the display case will have to be custom.
I disagree slightly the lights should light up. Of course if they offer that feature, it would be welcome. But the whole point in the movie was that the electricity was out so the lights being on, even blinking, wouldn’t fit the scene.
That diorama at 04:14 it is Iron Studios, not Chronicle.
