    5 month ago I just purchased a 2012 Toyota Venza XLE AWD V6 . before that I owned Toyota Camry XLE V6 .. I did search for Honda Accord but the CVT kept me away from Honda products . plus my experience with the V6 Toyota Engine is super awesome engine strong but yet reliable . I'm very happy with my Toyota Venza really enjoy daily drive this vehicle

    Hi Shari, personally I would pick the regular Toyota Camry. I am coming from owning Honda Accord of 1983-2009. Hondas have completely lost their brand heritage. They have become a money grab with posh electronics and high cost of operating cost of expensive tires and maintenance of regular wearable parts. For this reason, I am dumping Honda products moving forward especially the Turbo engines. There is no way a Turbo extra moving parts can be any reliable especially when people own these cars for long term.

    • @carhelpcorner
      @carhelpcorner  3 года назад +5

      That's why I picked the Accord Hybrid. No turbos and a phenomenal drive with amazing efficiency. I like the fact that it doesn't have a transmission either. Comparing gas models though, I agree the Camry is the better choice.

      @@carhelpcorner But isn’t the Accord Hybrid a lot more expensive than Camry Hybrid. I see hundreds of Taxis using the Camry Hybrid downtown Toronto.
      Camry have a long track record of high volumes on Hybrid than Accord Hybrid.

      @@carhelpcorner The Camry hybrid has a spare tire and the Accord doesn't. That becomes a big deal if you get a sidewall flat in a remote area which happened to me not that long ago.

      @Nickel. I agree. I recently owned a 4cyl turbo, but I much prefer the feel of an aspirated engine. Can't understand the obsession people have with speed. I live in a large metro area where it is very, very unsafe to drive like a maniac on the expressways.

    The 2021 Honda Accord 2.0t, checks all the boxes for most consumers. With a meaty torque power band from 1500 to 4000 rpm, it smokes the v6 Camry XSE. Price, polished looks, performance, space, clean dash layout, resale value all make the Accord a winner with most car mags & reviewers.

      @Kat. Yes, all that you mentioned is true but in time the turbo cvt in the Honda will cost a lot to maintain.

    Toyota Camry: 2.5 L engine with both GDI and DOHC, it has 8 injectors. The valve stems will not the fouled by crud like the Honda Engine.

    The accord sport 2.0t is a bulletproof fast 💨 🚙 car. Only thing Honda needs to improve on is their audio systems sound bland. Even a Toyota Corolla has nice balance of bass/treble/highs. I’ve tweaked the settings a bit but not close to Toyota’s stock audio sound.

    2:15 -- we see the gear shifter from the previous generation Accord! Not sure if these 2 cars with the gasoline engine have the infamous STOP & STALL auto engine shutoff "technology." If they do, then the hybrid is the only way to go with them in my view.

      the honda accord EX-L 1.5L has the ‘engine stop’ feature. you can disable it via a button; however, once the car is turned off, the feature returns, requiring you to turn it off, if you desire. It is pretty seamless in use, but I am not sure how much fuel is saves. I read that the high technology is not the fact that the engine turns off , but rather how the starter is engineered to have less friction and (i think) more lubriication ability, to permit the engine to stop and start many times more than without the technology.

    These new V6 Camrys should be doing 0-60 in 5.1. My 2009 Camry was a sleeping beast. It beat Mustangs, Chargers, Challengers, Camaros, Hondas, Grand Cherokees,motorcycles, a couple of Porsches and other cars. I love Camrys too, but Toyota needs to make certain models a bit faster. The TRD should have been made the fastest. Maybe they don't want to keep within it's self with Lexus.

    How about the Ford Fusion? I strongly believe that the media has never given enough spotlight to this model and because of this, resulting in decreased sales over the past few years, Ford has decided to stop production of this sedan.

    • @mareble412
      @mareble412 3 года назад +1

      It's not the media, the mid size sedan class is VERY competitive and ford cannot set itself apart. Plus with the overall consumer interest in sedans helped it'd demise.
