I may have been a bit hyperbolic about Arcane Nihility being better than Freyja's weapon, but I honestly do think it's a bad refine.
Freyja being a bait Mythic with zero bulk or support was already the death knell of her viability. At least her refine now grants her full Null Follow-Up and Canto Remaining +1 on top of its synergy with Binding Necklace+ to Galeforce for free with some Special Cooldown acceleration support and then retreat a bit.
I think on her bonus seasons which is realistically the only time you would use a mythic with no support. She can be pretty good. Still basically just a weaker Nerthuz at both phases who you also wouldn't use outside of bonus season.
None of the offense mythics have gotten good refines. People need to really lower expectations
@@retrogradebolide2198 Altina, Peony, Mila? That's already half of them who have gotten great refines. Naga also wasn't bad at the time. The only really bad one was Eir since IS essentially killed off Eirforce.
You say people needed to lower expectations for Freyja. Oblivions expectations like many others were already low to begin with. Freyja absolutely did need a lot. Just now she went from her bonus seasons = free defense wins to just an ok Mythic.
Also having high expectations isn't a bad thing anyway. Mythics are something you have to bring. The least they could do is actually contribute
@@BocchiTheBox Peony and Mila are considered "support" mythics by the vast majority of players, even if their technical "blessing" is offensive, they themselves aren't considered as such. Also Peony's refine is highly debatable by a lot of people because she can accidentally fuck over galeforce and WoM strats depending on how you play and what you have access to.
I've been holding on to my +1 Seliph to this day... I don't regret letting him gather dust for this moment
I feel you so much I've been waiting for this for almost a year now😭😭 it was worth it tho I can confidently say he's even better than Brave Seliph now
There’s not a single bad refine in this batch and that makes me incredibly happy.

I personally think Freyja is fine now, both as a Galeforcer and an omnitank. Is she meta-defining? No, but is she usable? Yes. I am disappointed that she didn't get Speed bases True Damage Reduction, True Damage, or Discord, but I think she can get by. I mean, we have special charges support.
I honestly think you are delusional for saying Arcane Nihility + Beast Sense 4 is better than Nightmare Horn + Binding Necklace +.
I always forget Mythics don't get bonus stats which is really dumb. They really should get them too given just how insane duos/harmonics and some seasonals and legendaries are now.
I think Freyja just needed special acceleration for Galeforce.
There's absolutely no way Arcane Nihility and Beast Sense 4 are better than her refine and Binding Necklace+. Binding Necklace+ just gives her so much for simply existing on her.
On that note. I am 100% with you on how Ross got absolutely robbed, shafted, and kicked down several flights of stairs for ABSOLUTELY no reason! IS just didn't want to make his refine good and that is almost as frustrating as Ragnell's refine being garbage.
L!Seliph getting a built-in Miracle wasn't a surprise, but receiving NCD certainly was. I'm guessing the NCD effect has to be a nod to how Tyrfing in Genealogy grants Seliph a significant Res boost to make him status staff-proof in the final chapter.
Yeah this single handlely makes him magic proof and ONLY valflame,mjölnir, and Loptous would do SOME damage to him

I absolutely love Seliph's Refine/Remix. I've been messing around in the VG and my highlights include destroying Diamant, Brave Eirika, and Two Brave Lysthias. I also cleared the Abyssal maps i haven't done yet with ease. Seliph's transformation is pretty scary.
Inb4 brave Eirika's refine destroys seliph (and the game again)
I feel like Ced Refine is pretty overlooked but overall fine!
He gets like +20 Atk/Spd, Special Charges and Desperation, he is kinda similar to Lewyn in that regard, and with Mag. Null follow specially he doesn't have to worry about people with guard, and people with follow up negation either!
Pretty solid for an offensive unit. Nothing meta breaking but pretty nice!

Mareeta went from a Godsword, to a godsword AND a godsword killer. Honestly she is very scary and I can't wait to get the final piece of the puzzle missing on her (Vital Astra) and just see her shred EVERYTHING
In my heart, I knew my boy would be redeemed, as a day 1 +10 legendary Seliph owner, the King has come out of hiding.

I think the one thing that you missed with Seliph is that Virtuous Tyrfing's Miracle is only once per TURN, not per combat like all the other Miracles, and it technically also procs things like Fallen Maria even when he doesn't need it. A minor flaw to have, but still worth talking about, not like he's actually gonna need Miracle more than once lol

This batch of refines gives me hope for next month, though I'm ready for disappointment
As for Seliph and Freyja, here's the best way I can put it
Freyja went from a 2019 unit to a 2022 unit, while Seliph went from a 2017 unit to a 2023 unit
If nothing else, I'm glad both of them stuck with what they were designed to do as enemy phase cavs, even if it might've come at the cost of their full potential, mostly for Freyja...
I appreciate this batch being very solid. I'm mostly happy about Ced since he's a fave I've been waiting on a good refine for him and now he has a usable weapon! Thanks for the video and weapon refine breakdown.
I expected Freya's refine to be in line with NY selkie and lethe because they also had DR weapons and came before her (+8 all stats or +12 atk/spd and full nfu where what I expected). I really didn't think they would up the DR to 50% because i feel like they would of done that with lethe and selkie first with the only difference between the weapons being freya having DC
I didn't expect slaying and canto, more so slaying because they don't throw that on refines vary often.
Overall I'm satisfied with her refine mainly because it was within my expectations and got a little extra.

i think Freyja is not bad at all, she was never going to be a tank, her role is to be a follow up for galeforce teams and she got slaying and canto, so exactly what she needed, and in the future if there is a wings of mercy seal, her value as a follow up will increase more
The problem with being follow up unit is that she has to run either heavy blade 4 or the heavy blade seal. Either one is going to make her lose attack, which means that it becomes that much more difficult to win the atk check. And that's not even considering that you are losing Binding Necklace + for WoM
As someone who brute-forced their way to get 300 wins in summoner duels with Legendary Seliph pre-refine bc he’s my fav character, this refine makes me extremely happy! I now have a god enemy phase Seliph and a god player phase Seliph with his brave counterpart 💕
Arcane Nihility and Beast Sense is a complete downgrade from the remix its only benefit is 20% spd based dmg in exchange you lose Tempo, DC, Canto(rem+1), +9 stats(3-weapon,6-BN+).
Theres too many tradeoffs if you want the same amount of DR as the remix you need Smoke but if you run smoke you can't run alarm to get an inferior canto to remix, and just doing all this means inconsistent Galeforce because you don't have tempo anymore.
Even considering all of this S!Freyja is just a much better option for the arcane weapon since you get mythic blessings.
It's even worse since it's not even 20% it's 15%.
Miracle is like Seliph his thing at this point, and with the rest i guess they felt bad that he turned out so bad before the refine
Travant seems simple but solid, at least not an silver lance+++ or something like that

This months refines are really good. Seliph's refine is really great and I am honestly surprised that Echidna got such a stacked refine. The rest of the refines are also solid.
Very solid batch overall. Hope they continue this trend
i got a forma ced before the refine with special spiral four and times pulse four so i refined right away and i was pitty broken to plus 10 basically why i grabbed the forma
As an Echidna fan I am celebrating hard. But, as somewhat of a Ross fan I send my condolences and this piece of good news. Unity or at the very least Grand Strategy is likely going to be nerfed soon given that a F2p unit just got this refine after the Legendary Robin (M) boom. Additionally, 75% is a high bar for her effects to work.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it got nerfed on the cyl banner. Maybe brave Robin counters it
Im grateful they went all-out and just made it so that Mareeta nulls a bunch of effects. Great reference to her original Nihil ability.
Also good to point out is Seliph's miracle works like Ymir’s drive miracle, in combat if he’s hit under 50% the moment a second attack would hit and kill him, he’s not getting miracle if I tested correctly. I tried it on Nerpuz last night and her first attack hit seliph under 50% then killed him on the second.
Freyja imo, got a really good refine. Even if she is a Mythic Hero, she got so much she needed and doing some light testing she was pushing in some insane work. The only attack based Mythic that I would say that got a good refine/remix is Altina and that is due to Brave Weapons being so strong (And being able to dump Spd + Having 3 Prfs helps a lot)
Nihility definitely is not better imo though, especially since it its less stats pretty much and requires a Arcane Weapon for a unit who has a solid Prf skill and a Prf Weapon that is better than it.
I was kinda disappointed in last month (especially Ross) so it's nice to see this batch turn out pretty fantastic!
This is probably the best batch of refines that wasn't for CYL heroes. All very nice. Makes me wish they put off remixing L!Roy until now but whatever! Hopefully L!Dimitri's remix will be juicy
Goodness, these refines are great. I need to check my reserves if I still have OG Mareeta, but if not I still have a bunch of other godswords. I think I'm going to go with Ced because he loved pity breaking me in the past and I never foddered him for Pulse Smoke, although I'm going need to give him a new b slot, and I do have an extra Heithr...

I will say i was hoping for some dimitri style dr for freyja so i was upset about her refine. However looking at it again it's still better than my initial reaction gave her credit for. Also despite my disappointment i still think your out of your mind to claim that the arcane is better than her weapon. That would just be a waste of a rearm to give her a worse weapon and skill then she already has. She has several effects over it and only loses 15% spd td. Which i don't think is worth the trade off at all.

Kinda upset IS gives Legendary Seliph Distant Ferocity after I just sacrificed the one I've had for years. My Brave Edie would've loved that skill so much. 😤😤😤
My galeforce +0 freyja with just freyr support and spd smoke 4 active took down a +10 Ninja Camilla with little difficulty which really sold her to me tbh.
She’s made for galeforce and does it really well imo. It’s great that she doesn’t hit too hard but hard enough to proc heavy blade bcos the second hit is so important to proc galeforce. My problem with nerthuz is that she hits so hard on the first hit she can’t always get galeforce. That and she’s not as bulky as freyja with all the dr doing on with freyja - freyja can perform well over multiple turns, while nerthuz deletes one unit and that’s it, she needs to heal. Even if freyja can’t always get the kill on one unit, she can proc spd smoke 4, kill something weaker and then run away.
I think Freya and Ced should be moved 1 tier up ! :0 Ced refine is what he needed to be a scary green nuke !

Idk if there are any other Est fans here but I really like her, hell I saved for a whole year for her spring alt so I could +10 it, and after playing around with this refine I have to agree that she really wanted flow/nfu in her refine. Heres to hoping ranged fliers can finally get access to those skills soon

I had two units I was looking for good refines with Freyja and Echidna. I can say one of these units won hard.
Freyja got more then I expected but she didn't get enough and honestly she is still super inconsistent and not very good. She basically went from basically unusable to I guess I can use you. I hope I can get a light mythic in the future to replace her.
Echidna was a massive surprise and im glad she has a really cool niche, cant wait to build her and maybe she will be in next months HOF. As for the other units Ced is cool but hits like a wet noodle, Travant is a lance flier but at least he has a small niche, Mareeta has a ton of competition but shes still good, and spring Est sure does exist.

Ced‘s refine is a nod to his lone wolf tendencies: going off alone to find me, fighting off whole armies alone and killing them.
Seeing all these solo skills being replaced by the 1 or fewer adjacent allies condition just overall makes me hope we get a new sidegrade to solo 4 that will of course just be straight up better also. I remember Solo 4 released and it was the most underwhelming T4 skill we had seen at the time. When we had Unity, Surge, Stance 3 all having an entirely extra effect tacked onto the stats. Solo 4 on the otherhand was just... stats. Sure at the time it was the easiest condition to ever meet. At the time. Nowadays compared to newer T4 skills Solo is actually a fairly restricting condition. Cordelia balls want to be adjacent to allies, Catria balls may end up adjacent to allies. Just simply repoing someone means you are now adjacent to allies. It's also generally better for units to group up and work as a team rather than split apart and pray your tank wins alone. Especially with how many buffs you can give those units nowadays. Some people still think solo is the easiest condition to meet when it's really not. Heck a ranged infantry or flier behind literally anyone will always have to initiate adjacent to that unit if they choose to attack. The same people who keep saying solo is the easiest condition to meet I see are also the same people who have a cavline with rouse skills.
Ya I was actually talking about that yesterday before the refines. Solo 4 is such a joke

Do you think Ullr can kill Seliph? She has desperation, Deadeye, color advantage, and with Flashing Blade 4 and Whitecap Bow, she can get off 2 deadeyes
If you give her the white cap bow or give her Dual Strike/Triangle attack, she should kill him. Otherwise his Miracle kicks in and he survives with 1 HP then kills her on return. Honestly I wouldn’t be too surprised to see people run Hardy Bearing on him to get rid of the Desperation effects.
ngl I laugh hard at Echidna´s part, as a great Echidna invester I´m happy but poor Ross fans, you sounded very salty, tho hahahaha if it helps I´m salty that Seliph got amazing while Frejya got shafted hard, it could be amazing if Freyja and Freyr could cancel each other by making him dark mythic and gaving her something to cacel him out creating a situation in which both teams encountered both Freyja and Freyr became useless but nop

Echidna's refine is truly bringing more salt to the wound of us Ross fans. Idk if it's because she's a woman, since IntSys is infamous for giving preference for women in this game, or because they are starting to bring shine on Jugdral units.
It also makes me wonder, what will they do with F!Ike's refine? Because if you compare these two right now, Echidna is just better, and that also makes me SO mad. I hope for dear god they don't give F!Ike a tame refine or I'm gonna be super pissed.
Echidna is not better imo. Ike gets to have another layer of unity, which is absolutely ridiculous when you understand how unity stacks. We're talking about 15-19 more attack and speed
I'm really sad about Freyja's refine but also happy that i get to continue saving my orbs, now i'm just hoping that she gets a strong alt in the future.

I feel like IS always gives us good legendary remixes, but for mythics it’s kind of a hit or miss. I’m a little bit scared for my favs Seiros and Ashera, I was already very disappointed with Mila, cause I love her so much and her remix was so weird
Not even close. Fjorm, Ike, Robin, Ephraim, Hector, Lucina, Leif, etc. have all gotten pretty mediocre refines. Many of them can't compete with anything. The mythics vary because of the roles they play. Or if you're Eir and Sothis, the lack of a role. Everybody else has gotten a great remix and refine, with Naga potentially being the only exception. Yune, Peony, Thrasir, Altina, and now Freyja have all gotten great refines and remixes. So there really isn't a need to worry about Seiros or Ashera.
Well... maybe Seiros because they need to get rid of her weird mixed phase gimmick and make her C skill an actual support skill.
@@superpokefan9567 6 out of the 7 mediocre legendary remixes you’ve mentioned are years old, I was more thinking about the remixes in book 7 and I can’t think about a single bad one, but I definitely have some bad mythic remixes in mind and imo Freyra is a part of it. But I agree reading your comment made me realise that it isn’t as black and white as I remembered. I’m especially worried about Seiros because as you mentioned I myself struggle to build her up properly cause she tries to be mix phased and at the end lacks in both and I can’t remember the last time she contributed a lot in my defence team and I only have her and Duma as Anima Mythics💀
@findingparadise420 I can't see how Freyja and Mila fit into that, but it is what it is. When it comes to buidling up older Legendary/Mythic units, it's better to wait and see what their remixes and refines bring to the table first. Like Reginn would love Atk/Spd Clash 4, but who knows if her remix will just give that to her. People have given Mirabilis level 4 flier skills, but who's to say she won't get one as part of her remix? Seiros is a tough one. She'll be part of the next new batch of remixes, so it'll be awhile before we know whether she'll rise to prominence or not. At the same time though, the competition is already fierce with Fomortiis, Arval, and now Freyr, as well as Lif and Thrasir, and Mirabilis when she gets her remix/refine. We'll have to wait and see.
