I had to explain this to my girl. She was spending $200 to make $300 all day selling candles at the farmers market. Sometimes you make a profit just not enough profit vs time and energy spent.
Facts!
You should do a hot seat reunion in a year to see where everyone is at in their business.
Agreed
Really good idea
They so hood, I’m cracking up ! They’re hustlers though😂
😅
😂
I manage influencers and she was right about MICRO- Influencers …. There’s levels to this Influencing world … The levels are Nano, Micro, Macro and Mega… when I’m working with brands to connect them with influencers we break down the list ..
“Whoa whoa you’re about to get yourself locked up” the way I hollered 😂😂 I already know this episode going to be good
😂
Then he said u need to calm down 😂😂😂
YESSSSSSSSSSS
I love how Dave coaches. This is definitely giving ghetto but he is asking questions in a way that makes them think. They know it’s ghetto but they want to be better. He’s allowing them to figure it out on their own. It’s giving of you give a man a fish he’ll eat for a day, but if you teach a man to fish he’ll eat for a lifetime. Keep doing the Lords work Dave 💕🔥
🙏🏽
Ghetto or not, you gotta respect their hustle
This episode was sooooo good. I laughed and learned. The personality shown was 10/10. I wish them the absolute best.
Awesome!
WE’VE HAD THEIR FOOD BEFORE AND IT IS GOOD. I WAS A BIT NERVOUS TO PULL UP TO THE TENT BUT IT WAS STR8 WORTH IT
Nice!
They should look into running a ghost kitchen, selling food everyday instead of just on the weekend since they have customers who already orders through UberEats…7 days cash flow!
🙂
It's David's Calm Confidence when he is speaking for me. I fan out with Social Proof, Full Transparency and Hot Seat! I must manifest my Hot Seat moment 🥴
📢 Must watch!
Why manifest it when you can simply apply.. lol. Link to apply is in the description. Thanks for watching
I love that your questions make them think deeper about their business but that "Y'all together 👀" 😂😂😂
🤷🏽♂😂 It's just a question, right?
Gotta ask nowadays 🤷🏿♂️ Everybody thinks they’re “gay”
😂😂😂😂 I screamed
They arent making much of a profit. Because even if they are left with $500 at the end of the month (after paying personal bills and buying inventory) that $500 should be adding up monthly. Its July now an they should have $6K in business bank account. They are living paycheck to paycheck and that's why they have all these sides hustles.
I thought they said it was $500 after 7 months. That is even worse! lmfao
they need a food truck and the Keith Lee Effect 😂😂
This is what people need to know working and being successful in the food industry is extremely hard. It’s taxing on the body, the pockets and the mind. Just bcz you can cook doesn’t mean you should go into the food industry. The food industry is very overhead heavy and there’s always waste if you are following OSHA, food and safety guidelines accurately.
Hardest working woman in America! You gotta respect her hustle 😂😂😂
“ I be saving it and I be spending it”
LOL, classic.
But I think she meant they reinvest it into the business.
Sometimes they don’t have the vocabulary but the intent is pure lol
David look over this entire conversation
It sounds like she’s more interested in being famous and getting paid for it than actually knowing the numbers and growing an actual business.
David was the food good we will be in atl next month would love to support her have her cook for about 20 of us
There’s no way David actually tried this food 🤣 I wouldn’t.
Got her on track early in the interview 💎
Lol
I like her Friend/Assistant. SHE has the language lol. She should be the speaker first their brand
This felt like that math class that I kept going to sleep in. I would understand the lesson right away and get the assignment done, but there was always that 1 student or group of students that just couldn't comprehend the math and how to apply it to the lesson. 😅 If you only have $500 in the business account after expenses, without taking any money out for yourself, that business is not profitable. Put another way, you cannot pay your employees. Technically, you're the owners/founders but since you're doing the work you're also the employees, without pay.
Not the trap phone going off throughout the episode😂
😅
I love love this episode I laughed and learned and learned some more I wish both of them major success I respect their hustle and Dave your a great Coach, your questions be the best and you hold nothing back 🤦🏽♀️🤣🤣
lol shands looking like he ready to report y’all 😂😂
David, I hope this was an eye-opening experience for them to see what they have accomplished so far and what they're looking towards doing in the future. I'm not the best at math, but this is what I factored. If they make lets say, $5000 every month, then they spend $1800 in "expenses" that's leaving $3200 left. If they only had $500 left, then that'd be spending an additional $2700 in other expenses. Which is what they would need to figure out what that money is going towards, if the initial $1800 was to fund necessities. If the $2700 isn't being used wisely, then put that in another account and dont touch it.
I wanna say she’s doing too much but she’s here in the hot seat so she must be doing something right
I feel like she didnt really understand the question of waste, I own a restaurant and I know it is impossible to prepare food without some waste, vegetables have seeds or core elements that are unusable, which has to be factored in.
The only veggies I use are bell peppers lol and I buy them every weekend and sell them all
She hilarious!😂 I'll order some seafood rice next time i go to Atlanta. ❤
Most hilarious Hot Seat 😂
Thanks for watching!
She definitely has a hustle spirit! I respect it 🙌🏾
David is hilarious
They are funnnnny. Love them. Hope they make a RUclips
we'll see. lol
When she said ha ha money I fell out
I love them!!!!!
44:19 Why didn’t they take a screen shot of “the paper”?
Great Hot Seat as usual! A video of David trying the food could have gotten more views than this one.
You need to hire me! For free!
Sound like they need to be in a ghost kitchen
Fees too high and they have 2 year wait list
It seems like it would be good for them to get an accountant to look at the numbers in total and help out there. Also, for the loan, they may want to create / update the business plan. That way they have everything set. Using apps like intuit or an app to keep their numbers recorded somewhere accessible. Hopefully, they can find someone selling a food truck and possibly get it at a lower rate. Maybe a videographer who needs more clients will see the video and can work with them for the content side of the business. All in all, they can definitely make it work. It sounds like a successful food business.
I can’t find them on DoorDash they pump faking I’m in Gwinnett right now 😢
Gwinnett too far lol but try to order next weekend
😂 I like them! I hope they succeed!
Indeed!
Lets goooooooooooooo loving the podcast. Stay blessed baby 🙏🏾
Thank you!
😂😂 test wait wait 4:11
David and hatin (hating) won’t ever rhyme to make sense in the same sentence.
44:55 The numbers should be digitally available. They need a system.
They keep saying they just started but they are giving info like they been doing it for years.
We were 9 months in
ii like them, they was cool
27:14 That "HOLD ON!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣
I think she should make videos and cater to bariatic , weight loss, post op surgery people. She can make cooking videos, meal prep, cooking videos around it. That will kill a few birds with one stone since she mentioned she wants to be an influencer
I enjoyed this episode
“…go ‘head and drink your water girl”
Was the food good???
Business mindset comedy, pure and simple
My dawg David🔥
Id recommend renting a ghost kitchen if a food truck is too out of budget
There hasn’t been a guest in the hot seat that has actually put in the word to be 50% or more successful achieving their goals. Majority of the guest are hustlers using the term entrepreneur. A requirement should be having a least 10 to 25 employees understanding, a P&L, balance sheet and etc. This will influence more to pay attention, nobody wants to watch, lazy people to be successful without putting in the work
This is what I want from Hotseat!!!
But I wonder would other people would watch/listen to it.
I feel the guest that come on Hotseat offer entertainment. Which may be the desired outcome for this podcast/show.
From what I understand His specialty is those making under $250k a year trying to increase revenue. Your idea seems great though! ❤❤
Worker 🐝.. filling out applications and W2s for somebody.. Make your value where people won't treat you like an Assistant
The worker bees are the ones needing a application filled out 🤫
I must have blinked. How did we get to Uber Eats and texting the house number???
Sounds like you could get a cottage permit to do the bigger events.
Cottage permit is only prepared food like jams and cookies
If you don't know your numbers as a business owner. You have no business doing other people's taxes. She's scary in the extreme.
Said “like” 100,000,000,000 times
😂😂😂😂😂😂come to us..
😅
and why is every answer: prolly 😅 kinda, 😂 all the guess-work was disturbing whewww wee!! like throwing 🍝
Where’s the Mac and cheese and cornbread cooked?
😂😂😂😂
😂
this a funny interesting hot seat
She getting over on the friend😢
💯
That ain't no business that's a hustle. This some ghetto sht . Aint nobody's gonna give you a loan cause you can't show income. Even if they did You'll be upside down with a food truck and a high interest payment. Do it the hood way and take every dime and stash it. @ The very least buy a used food truck or Empty fedex truck and put the work into building one. Pay cash. Otherwise you ain't goin make it. Smh😢
How you figure we can’t show income ?? All the funds go into the bank so what you talkin about ? We also pay federal and state taxes
She's not serious. She's 'playing at' business.
Those two were so ghetto. Why do people think mediocrity is a joke?
U ghetto !
She's a whole vibe!! I know her food is amazing.
I couldn't find this business on Instagram or Google. What's the IG handle please
I looked on RUclips and TikTok and I also couldn't find an account. I'm surprised it's an episode their business is featured they haven't left a comment with all of their social handles.
It should be in the description
@eatflfresh
