- A petition demanding a ban on vaping in outdoor and indoor settings where other people are around has attracted over 35,000 signatures.
The petition has been started by a severe asthmatic who says vaping in public is 'selfish' and the so-called 'noxious fumes' are 'offensive' and 'akin to being spat on'.
The petition also describes vaping as a 'selfish activity' and says a public ban 'is the only way to create a generation free from smoking-related diseases'.
Vaping is not as harmful as smoking cigarettes, but experts say non-smokers should not start.
A ban on disposable vapes has already been announced in a bid to stop them being used by children, who could suffer long-term damage to their lungs, hearts and brains if they take up the habit.
It's also illegal to sell vapes to under 18s, but 20% of kids 11-17yo have tried them, despite doctors saying it could cause long-term damage to young people's lungs, hearts and brains.

I’d like them off the roads tbh. Nothing worse than having to hold your breath so you don’t take in the second hand vapour that’s been inside someone else’s body.

@@sfsarj6877 yes I totally agree with you. I'm and alcoholic now soba 12 yrs and yet it pushed down are necks in every shop and corner of society. I would not be here if I was drink yet I'm told I'm not allowed to smoke bud with is without doubt safer for me and alcohol was the gateway substance that lend me to hard drugs not weed. People that don't know much about this are generally the small minded ones
I don't even smoke, and yet I can see banning a vape outside is way too extreme.
Just make all the flavours boring just one boring tobacco flavour. Children from ever taking it up because it taste absolutely disgusting. All these fruit flavours and chocolate flavours and other different flavours of Vapes are like a sweet shop for children.

It's personal choice if a person choices to smoke or vape don't walk near a person doing it simple as that you can't banned everything for adults because of kids that's parents responsibility and the places that sell them isn't it?

I think it’s a great idea . I have asthma and when I walk down the rd and the person in front of me blows are cloud out that wafts all over me why do I have to go home
Not all vape's let of clouds of vapor, that is just the idiots with the massive tanks trying to look cool, most sensible people have a discreet one, that doesn't let anymore vapor off than a standard cigarette!
I actually have a friend with asthma, and what i vape outside does not effect her in any way shape or form, and she also has never had to go home from someone else vaping outside either!!
