Hard to believe the horrible actions of one cop could split our country so much. A little while ago we were united against a common enemy... COVAD 19. Now, no one is thinking about how our economy and our county's future is already in jeopardy. It's all destruction and chaos. Most of the people who are rioting are probably people who have been out of work since the outbreak started and now they are too emotional and anxious to think about the long term consequences these riots will bring. If unemployed people start to destroy businesses and property, they'll put other people out of jobs too, for no reason. As for the cops, SWAT teams, and the National Guard, my heart goes out to them. They were probably tired and overworked even before the riots started. Now, you can add anxious to that list and it could spell disaster. Protesting is necessary, I get it if it's done peacefully, but violence needs to stop. Any change that comes about because of violence is only a temporary thing. I hope things are able to calm down peacefully, and that the protesters get what they seek. And that it all ends before something truly horrible happens. To anyone who is in the middle of that, please stay safe.
