Laura, I'm steaming so many of your videos while I'm organizing my office at my new job. This one is definitely dated because you have your own mega useful planner! Thank you for putting one out that addresses so many points in keeping life organized, on track, and practically planned.
I'm so excited to share this video with you all, because I get asked about planner size all the time! If you still have questions, be sure to leave them below, and I'm happy to answer.
Hi Laura, just seeing your youtube channel now and just starting to get involved with planners. In this video you say there is a handy pdf document below that is available to viewers, that explains all the sizes of planners. I can’t see the downloadable document link.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! How clever of you to think this! Wish sites didnt use centimeters to describe. Fyi the whistling is way too distracting when trying to think numbers. I just want to hear YOU descibe.
Hey Laura! I'm confused... You said the green was the A5 size but then you switched to saying the orange was the A5 size when you layed them down... Could you please elaborate?
Personally, I love a5 size. As it doesn't waste paper. Personal size is the right size for me to write my daily diary, but when comes to use own paper to cut it to personal size. I have to waste slips of paper to get personal size. So I always use a5 size for diary. Personal size is more for finance budgeting, so I will be buying the refills for personal size.
Great video. So is the half letter size the same as an A5 wide? I want to get an Aura Estelle A5W Cloud planner for my 1st ring bound planner but I love Cloth and Paper inserts. Thanks for your help and for sharing.
European sizes are more logical, its based on the meter, which halfed each time and then halfed again, eventually coming out to the a4, the half of that is a5, and then a6 etc
Thank you for this useful video... I have a silly question though: I have a planner from "Me and my big ideas" *their classic Happy Planner*. Do you know which size of paper I would need to print inserts for those? I think it says the paper is 7x9.5in
Wikipedia en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paper_size not far from the top is a table “Overview of ISO Paper Sizes” it says A4 is 8 1/4 x 11 17/24 and A5 is 5 5/6 x 8 1/4. Of course it makes much more sense in metric units.
I have an A6 planner. Is there another name for them or the inserts? I'm having trouble finding printable sheets for them and I'm thinking maybe they are called something else. Thank you!
You might not have a true A6 planner because a lot of what is labeled as A6 is actually "Personal Planner" size. There seems to be a huge confusion online (mostly Amazon?) regarding A6 and "Personal" planners. A lot of stuff listed as A6 is actually Personal-sized. A6 is shorter and wider than Personal, and has less space in the center between the 3-hole-punches: "Personal" has 2 inches in the center, and A6 only has 1.5 inches. I need A6 inserts and notebook, but much of what comes up in a search is actually "Personal" size when you read the measurements. It's been a huge pain trying to find true A6.
Lol, I use a mini FF was a wallet and satellite planner (only noting most vital stuff) while using a desk-sized Day-Timer for main planner. I have a Franklin Covey Compact binder I use along with the mini sometimes as a purely note-taking binder. Since I use one, I wanted to mention that it's not an ultimate guide with also referencing teh FC Compact and the FC Pocket, which is in-between the personal (aka portable in the DT world) and the FF pocket. (I learned that the hard way when I mistakenly ordered a FC pocket item for the FF pocket I was using before I got the FF mini.)

Great!!! So glad you found it helpful!
Just came across your podcast. Would the A5 fit a mini 3 ring binder? (Like the Case It Mini Tab) Thank you

Not exactly the same but pretty close.

Thank you this helped a lot
Which A5 planner holds the most pages? I can’t seem to find this info anywhere.

Hi Laura, will B6 refills fit in a B6 planner?
Great video! Very informative and useful.
Thanks!
Laura, thank you for sharing your great video hoping to see more very soon.
Thanks - glad you enjoyed it.
You never mention the measurements so an A4 is 8 1/2X11? And A5 you said is half of that so is that 4 1/4 X 5 1/2?

Can Happy Planner Classic stickers fit in a Plum Paper Planner?
You have so many great planners! I hope that one day I will have enough money for your course! They are not expensive though.
I just found your channel and this video, thank you for the freebie! What would the Erin Condren planners be considered?
I have an A6 planner. Is there another name for them or the inserts? I'm having trouble finding printable sheets for them and I'm thinking maybe they are called something else. Thank you!
I wanted to see A6 size also... this buyer said they sell A5 cover with A6 sheets. I’m thinking should I buy the cover and use my own A5 sheets.

and then of course there are all those TN page sizes that make me dizzy
YEs- there are definitely lots of different brands.
