    Very cool looking RC Porche, love the metal chassis! I think 30 KPH is fine for stock. With some upgrades like a 3S battery + ESC and a new radio it would top 50 KPH easily. Great video editing and music!

    Hi, Mikael. This ZD has a really nice chassis. A small car for moments of fun. I don’t like the leds that light up under the car, but it’s all about taste. You picked the right music for that kind of car. Thanks for sharing, great Sunday to you.

      Hi Alex! I absolutely love this chassis. Nice to see something I haven’t seen before 🙂 Yeah, personally I prefer normal LED’s (headlights etc) but again, it’s cool to try something new. Ha ha, yeah, the LED’s and the music fits good together 🙂 Thanks. Hope you had a great Sunday, my friend.

    That's a cool looking little street racer Mikael. Looks a bit twitchy at high speed, think I would turn the throttle down if I had one. Great stuff my friend. Hope you are all well mate.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 года назад

      Thanks, Rob! Yeah, I liked this one a lot. Mainly for the reasons that it's different from what I usually run (on road, the chassis, lights etc.). It was difficult to do the speed test without the dual rate. But it's fun blasting around. But yeah, for the more controllable runs inside the barn it will be good turning down the throttle a little. All is good here, Rob. Hope you are good too, my mate.

    how badly did you break the body? did you find it broke relatively easily?

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 года назад +1

      It's the usual: cracked in the front. I have broken many of mine like that (with a front collision). Also the more expensive Tamiya bodies. This one is not the thickest lexan/polycarbonate but I think even a better quality material would have broken with my driving :-)

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 года назад +1

      Hmm, it does? Not sure, I can't remember. What I remember was that it was running and spinning good, so I can't imagine a maximum drag brake. Maybe it's just me breaking?

    Can you open it up and take a look at it's diff? Is it still plastic like all the other ZD Racing 1/16 models?

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 года назад

      Hi Kevin. I’ve been wondering about the same! Would love to open it up and see, if I can find the time. My ZD Racing Raptors MT-16 lasted 10 minutes with that diff (check the previous video). But I think with the smaller wheels the diffs will not be put under that much pressure. And the housing and fitment of it all looks different too . Tamiya is actually famous for making some of the strongest diffs - with a lot of plastic. Take the old 1984 Grasshopper. One can put a wild brushless set up in it and it’s all right. So the gear mesh and everything has a lot to say too. Sometimes metal will wear out faster than plastic. But will definitely do some more runs with this, but the diff seems fine so far.

    I don't know if I'm mistaken but I've seen someone else GPS this car and they got 28 miles per hour out of it that's faster by 10 than what you're getting so if you put the 25c from the WL toy in there I wonder how much more miles per hour you would get out of it and then try a 30C on there and see what more you could get out of it.

    you know that's sad that's a brushless motor that should be going faster than your hbx and it's going about the same speed as the hailstorm and that's brushed. Something's wrong with that picture.

    • @NordicRC
      @NordicRC  3 года назад +1

      Nothing wrong with the picture. Weight and gear ratio has a lot more to say than if it's brushed or brushless. And a brushed motor can produce more RPM than a brushless - if it got more RPM :-)
