Hello friends, In this video How to Configure HSRP on Cisco Router Step by Step in Hindi, Hsrp is a Hot Standby Router Protocol, HSRP provides First HOP redundancy in the network. It is a Cisco Proprietary Protocol. It has two different versions, HSRP v1 (Default), HSRP v2. HSRP v1 uses multicast address 224.0.0.2 to send HSRP hello packet to its neighbor. HSRP v2 uses multicast address 224.0.0.102 to send HSRP hello packet to its neighbor. HSRP Hello packet sent in every 3 sec to its neighbor to synchronize the role of the routers. Hold downtime is 10 sec.
