Holy Smokes! I WOULD NOT have been able to figure out how to draw this on my own, and my thickness planer would have never been fixed with the 3D printed part I made with the drawing. Thank you so much.
What a great tutorial. I was about to buy a tool for generating bevel gears. And it also gave me a better understanding of this type of gears. Thank you!
Awesome tutorial. I just want to add some details that I stumbled across: The 20 and 12 that come up repeatedly are the radii of the gears. You can see the diameter at the bottom when creating a spur gear, divide these by half to get the numbers you need to plug in. Yes, you also need them for the rectangle you will draw. If the sketch didn't move with the small gear, you probably moved the body instead of the component. If you can't rotate the gears, you probably didn't click on the Checkmark to accept the pivot movement. The size of the circle dictates how far the teeth will extend into the gear. This can be adjusted at will. I can't see how the last step (extrude, split, remove) on a single teeth is necessary, everything seems to be in line already but that may just be me.
If you check, originally the "bottom" of the tooth profile is a flat surface; it is missing the curvature of the round body shape. With the (extrude, split, remove) this little detail is corrected.
Will changing the size of the gears from the very beginning from 5 mm to 20mm change any of the other measurements? I essentially want to create the same exact gear set but just 20mm instead of 5.
how do i print these as two sepeperate bodies my printer wants to print this how it is but i want the two bodies seperate and then i will manually put them together. do i unground the bottom part of the gears?
2:33 help the remove is not here in my right click menu 4:07 seriously how do you select a whole body like that and not just a face well no choice togo on the list and do a right click there but i want this feature how do you select that without selecting everything???
Why do you move the minor gear 12 + 20? I mean, if I want to use other sizes and teeth How much do I have to move it? Because if I use module 1, 10 and 20 teeth, and move the smaller gear 10+20, it goes too far.

I didn't understand where 12 and 20 came from, thank you very much (I used google translate)
At 9:08, it wont let me extrude that part. Instead it highlights sketch 2 and it wont let me highlight body 2. Please help

That was awesome to watch thanks!!
Really good tutorial. Thank you very much.
Amazing guide, worked perfectly, thank you!
that looks overwhelmingly complicated
How about internal bevel gear?
how do i print these as two sepeperate bodies my printer wants to print this how it is but i want the two bodies seperate and then i will manually put them together. do i unground the bottom part of the gears?
Just move one of the gears oway
I am so confused
Very nice video, thank you !
The last part with the joins, I couldn't move them together, i need to print it so i don't use it, but I don't understand why :(

4:21 for some reason i had to select the circle as axis since the line put the teeth off center weird
just in selection priority, select body priority.
@@etiennek thanks you its all working and i 3d printed a custom 1 :D
Super comme d'habitude , même si j'ai pas encore tout compris comme d'habitude aussi :). Merci pour cette super vidéo
What were the calculations you used ?
Love the 🎶 music! 👍

he isn't moving it by the number of teeth, he is using the pitch diameter/2
Why i can't loft?
Merci, cette méthode est tellement rigoureuse et épurée !!!
Please put the Tipee back in the description area. I sent you a "beer froid"
Super comme toujours
Grand merci!..
Thank you, it really helped me here.
