I can't imagine singing about such a personal experience in front of so many people
Honestly I hope he never gets tired of singing this!
Man I was thinking the same thing. Makes me appreciate the music even more
As someone who can relate to this on an almost eerie level (ive watched my sister in this cycle 16 years.)
I can tell you this isn't easy for him. But it's also very cathartic. Same reason i listen to the song.
Pretty sure he doesn't perform God Went North for exactly that reason
My sister died young due to addiction, I feel every word of this song 😢
Metalheads smiling away in the crowd! We love to see it!
That bass is DIALED
how have i not seen this band live holy shit
This is fucking awesome
Dope performance
Great music
Best band f*cking EVER!!!
Кайф
Killing it!!!:)
God, I would kill to see them
WOW! \m/
most underrated current modern rock band hands down. This band pours their heart and soul into their music. Glad I got the meet and greet and got to talk to them on their bus.
Rock isnt cool anymore, thats a good thing every kid in highschool isnt wearing a breaking Benjamin T shirt just cause the cool kids do. So when you see a rocker now they are a real one
@@milkboi2386 I don’t agree with you. AC/DC new album, SOAD’s coming back, RATM is coming back, new albums by almost every band between 2020 and 2021, you are wrong.
The thing is about rock is that it’s not on the radio a lot, except for rock radios, but they only play things like Tom Petty and shit. Unless you’re listening to a hard rock radio like the one they have in St. Catherines.
Them and Beartooth for sure!
Bro I’m 40 and I found their song “this is the time” and thought it was a well written rock song. Then I found “I’ll be ok” “jenny” and “fade in/out” and I’m convinced they were the best writers in their genre at the time hands down. Unbelievable story telling
Finally, Thank you. I have been requesting this from a long time. Can we have the whole concert please?
Just wanted to say found a comment on a video recommending this band so thank you.
Always giving themselves 200% on stage. This band is really really special. BIG fan !!!!
What if a crowed wanted an encore then Jonny walks out an says nothing more drops mic walks off stage.. I wouldn't be mad.
letseewhathappens101 poetic justice!
The bass guy looks like the real bass player was sick but they knew a local accountant who could really shred so you hired him for the day. He is the real MVP of this video.
He actually looks a lot like the famous Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal.
Fun fact is that, Dan, the bass player was an mechanical engineer before Nothing More really took off and started touring full time. He built the Scorpion Tail contraption himself
my accountant guess was so close!
He actually a pretty good accountant.
He can also sing really well
You can see the pain and emotion in him when he sings. Love this band since Octane showcased them
I don't know how he puts on such a masterful performance without cracking with what the words mean to him. There's a few songs to this day when I sing I just can't get through. Such a performer.
Finally a video with audio mixing worthy of this band!
I love Johnny's energy in his performance. I saw NM live (I never heard of them before) with my favorite band Breaking Benjamin and heard them perform "Jenny". I was like damn! Blew my mind. I became a fan instantly, and I have seen them 6 times since they came to Denver / Colorado Springs CO.
Estévan Loredo I'm in Denver. Still haven't had a chance to see them.
Estévan Loredo LOL im in your same situation except I'm just about to see them in the 25 of this month. This is the first song I heard from them and they are damn good! I'm only going for Breaking Benjamin but got into them and Bad Wolves. FFdp is still lame in my opinion
Was that when they were on tour with Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown? That is the same tour I fell in love with Nothing More. Went for Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown (my favorite band) and this was the best opener you could ever have. haha
thanks for specifying that Colorado Springs was in CO
I was front row at that concert. My cousin was hyping up this song so much. They did not disappoint.
Recovering addict myself clean 8 years now, thing they don't tell you is getting clean is the easy part. Repairing the damage done and rebuilding your life after is the hard part.
I love how Nothing More is samck in the middle between alternative rock and progressive metal.
more like *Alternative Metal* or *Post Hardcore*
Yeah, nothing progressive here. Great band, tho
@@bushiiko not in this track no, but they def have some prog elements in a lot of their stuff
sAmCk
@@judgepage6605definitely
I bought their album because of this song, now they are one of my favorite bands. The self titled album goes hard as fuck
Johnny is a once in a generation vocal talent.
Jonny*
Reminds me of the singer from Fair to Midland. I was surprised to hear him hit those highs so effortlessly
Lol no Chester has him beat lol. Good song though
Man if rock and roll was currently mainstream in the media like back in the day theyd be absolutely massive
@@cjmahone3096 Two entirely different styles you buffoon. That's like comparing Three Days Grace to Highly Suspect
Love the band, specifically the bass player. Never seen a performance where he isn't feeling the music every second. Quickly becoming my favorite bass player.
I wanna meet the chick in the flannel and sunglasses
Same 😂😅
Took his ear piece off at 2:32.. Performed like a champ.
it could be his in-ear monitors were faulty, he was thumping at it at 1:29. And then his hand gestures that followed after that was a signal to continue with the performance
@@paulifea7072 I think the hand gesture was about the "relapse, rehab, repeat" lyric.
@@paulifea7072As someone have said, I think it is more like he expressing feelings and emotions related with the lyrics. And when he take it off is because of the part of the song that continues. He's singing about his sister and mother and painful memories. So I see it more like disconnecting from all and perform from his guts...
It was off before 1:18
I love seeing a young crowd singing to this song. Also I like the fact that they run together instead of a mosh pit, thats also awesome. Love Nothing More, the band has helped me through the toughest times in my life.
Mirra Hays You know you always have a great rock audience outside the U.S
Mirra Hays mosh pits are for a different reason, they’re more of a way to release aggression than anything else. That doesn’t mean everyone is against each other, as most I’ve been in are full of nice people that help you if you fall and exchange handshakes and high fives after sets.
It’s a circle pit
This band isn't heavy enough to have a pit LOL.
@@kingkeltic4228 You aren’t heavy enough to weigh anything you fuck.
can we all take a minute to cherish that bass sound?
I love how Jonny powered through eventhough he had problems with the earbuds. I saw them live on a really small concert in Hamburg this year and it was SO good. I love small concerts they always feel much more personal especially with songs like "Jenny". I hope to see you again soon!! 💕🤘
I can't even imagine how hard it must be for him to perform. We love you guys❣️
Johnny Hawkins is SUCH an amazing vocalist!!! Truly an inspiration!
this song just hits different hearing it after one of my friends overdosed a few weeks ago... its really insane how music made my people who know nothing about you can actually hit so hard
I saw them open for Papa Roach only a few months ago without knowing who they were and became an instant fan. Now they are touring with Bad Wolves and can't wait to see them again in August.
Going to see them August 1st at the 360 ampitheater, I'm fucking hyped
Seeing them august 24th
@@KHRification Im jealous you will see NM and BW together ;)
Much love for you guys! You're not only amazing musicians, but your lyrics inspire and help a lot of people with their own struggles. Your performance in Bulgaria recharged my batteries. Hope to see you again!
Did anyone else notice that they played it like half an octave lower than on the album? It still sounds good, just different
Joe Burrow made an appearance at 0:33
She stuck around for me but I did not stick around for her. Wish I could go back and fix things...
By far the best recording I’ve heard. Amazing energy and insane vocals.
anyone else feel like johnny's voice is a love child of blue october's singer and falling in reverse's singer ronny?
I found this band and immediately had to look up a live video because I couldn't believe how good the vocalist is
Seeing them on August 7th and i can't wait they're my favorite band😁
Painstaking Gaming where
damat 960 st.louis Missouri
Saw them at 27/6... Man you will enjoy it very much and you wont regret!! They are even better live!
Then why do you have a three days Grace album cover as your profile pic...?
Gaming Day because three days grace was my inspiration to start playing guitar and nothing more is what i want to play
holy crap the bass. holy crap the vocals. the drums are great. the shredding of the guitar. this song is like the best thing I've come across.
I love this band
I know this song is about his sister but I really relate to most of the lyrics when it comes to my mom
Jennah Vardy That's the beauty of music. It doesn't matter what it's written about, it's about how you interpret it and how it makes you feel.
#iKnowJenny everybody knows someone. Maybe even themselves
Andrew Pettitt Jenny is a wonderful song #IknowJenny in so many ways it's sad and ridiculous
Jennah Vardy what happened to his sister?
sickflow she's an addict, something that hits all too close to home for a lot of people in America, look up the rest of the story
When did james blunt start a rock band
What I appreciate most, and what chokes me up is just imagine... You lose someone so important, and there's so much pain involved. You write a song that is so incredibly personal... Now imagine thousands of people singing those words back to you in unison. It feels like such a shared pain, to have lost someone so significant and by such a cruel way that is addiction and yet majority of people singing the song has never lost a sibling... And yet, they feel that pain. That is what makes this a masterpiece. It's so unifying and freeing for those suffering this specific loss, feeling alone in their despair and when this song is sung by thousands - they finally feel understood.
Nothing More is truly a gift.
One of the few really good live voices out there. Not just studio
Tim Fitzgerald That's because be doesn't use autotune/pitch correction
Why do I keep seeing this same comment on every band's videos? Yes he has a great live voice. There are many other great live voices in rock. I don't know why we keep acting like there are only a couple vocalists with great live voices.
I agree! His voice is genuine
There are plenty out there. Periphery, twelve foot ninja, and tesseract to name a few.
In this moment?
Please full length concert!! Like dang!! This is amazing!!
Seeing them on 24th at Virginia with Breaking Benjamin and Five Finger Death Punch! Can’t wait to see All the bands!
EmptyPlayz ! Hey I'm going to the same concert
The bassist fcking kicks ass
Why does every rock festival seem to have a ferry whee?l
Finally a video of their live performance :D where it does them justice
I’ve looked up some others
And they don’t sound as good as I bet they do live due to the sound guys speaker and video quality
Where is the full concert???
GZZZ LOVE THIS BAND!
They are FUCKING AMAZING but so underrated for Fuck's sake. And he's like a Brendon Urie of metal.
This one hits me hard as both a daughter of addicts, and an addicted mother.
Generational trauma, we can stop it, but we gotta stand together 🖤
Everyone’s singing and smiling. Amazing
Honestly this song hits me so hard because I was going through a hard thing with certain pills a few years ago and my brother told me to listen to this and I start shaking and crying every time I listen to it
This song means more than the band will ever realize...
Sad but great song! When you told everyone who it was about hearts go out to his mother and sister.
Found them like 2 weeks or so ago on Spotify. Their song Fade In/Fade Out was on a Rock Ballads playlist. As soon as the chorus hit, I was hooked. Loved it so much I looked up more stuff. Ended up listening to a mix of songs from all 3 albums. It Seems from their first album hit me hard. Another song that on the first listen, the chorus hit and I was hooked big time. Definitely my favorite song of theirs. Everything is great, I love all the realness to the lyrics rather than just fluff like you hear so much of. I'll be seeing them next month in Philly and I look forward to it more than any of the other 2 shows I've got coming up too. Knew of them barely a week before buying early entry tickets to their show. Record fast for me!
What a composition!!! Hope Jenny is still alive without falling to deep...
I love that he took out the ear pieces.
You could mute the video, and introduce Nothing More to someone with it. And they'd know It's an amazing band, not a single cell phone in hand throughout the entire song. People just captivated & enjoying the show.
Only cellphone that showed up in crowd was at the very end.
Not a single 1 hour Snapstory and no memories of the concert other than numb thumb on the record button.
But a memory for a lifetime & a great experience instead.
Are there any words? This band.... saw them at ...just kidding dunno who they are, saw them nowhere, and clicked this link from a friend's post on FB. bye.
If he practices well, he could become one of the big vocalists in the next years
theandiller He's one of the best in the scene
You know what I don't feel like you're not singing your actual music sounds like a backing track behind a live band that really sucks .life is like this now can't really trust anybody to be how they say they are Can You
Fuck i love you guys so much
Saw you back in 2013 in at Ufest back in AZ, was fucking amazing
Hopefully can see you guys again soon.
Meantime ill just listen to the gold albums you guys have.
Base player is that best friend we all have!!
Does anyone know what kind of vocal altering Jonny does at 3:16?? Is it just Echo? It’s fucking badass.
1:33 Can anyone tell me why musicians do this while they are on stage?
They're having fun and putting a lot into their music. That's how NM does it man!
Payton Jones well i understand that and dont criticize that. i just have noticed in a lot of live bands the two guitarists or the guitarist and the drummer will kinda do that and like almost lock focus with eachother like that and i have always wondered why. thats all.
If you've ever played with a band on stage or just in general you'd understand. It's fun and an outlet for a reason.
I was in that crowd and this song was just so special 🖤
Were you the cute chic with the backwards hat and red shirt?
@@jungleismasiv4426 ya she a "chic"
@@jungleismasiv4426go watch porn and calm down or something you weirdo.. stop calling women chicks and get a life
Суициникам и падшим людям нужны песни дающие надежду на будущее , из них могут вырасти прекрасные сильные люди
Today is the day! AFTERSHOCK FESTIVAL 2022!
This song makes me think of a few of my friends. We all started out on pills(i stopped & so did one other) two others moved onto heroin. Both overdosed & died within a year
Great song. Jonny is on fire. Editing sucks. Why mix a song about addiction with footage of a clueless audience?
parpih you’re by far the dumbest person that’s ever been on RUclips. Literally there were tons of people singing the words to the song and he told the whole fucking crowd what the song was about before they started. Clueless audience? You seriously are the dumbest fucking person in the history of RUclips and that’s saying a lot.
@WhatWouldSbeveDo I deal with it by saying someone mixed and produced this video. And it kinda sucks.
I became nothing more fan three years ago and my biggest dream in this life is to see them. I'm sending you love from Latvia❤💙💜💜💚🎤☺☺☺
My weirdest wish is seeing those guys singing Critical Acclaim - A7x Kakakak
this legit brought me to tears, i dont know why, but this metalhead just cried like a baby
They guy at 1:08 is so happy. Lol
Lol!!!!! He came for THIS song
Hey guys. Contact me before you head back to NY. Xoxo Jenny Blue. See you soon.
please upload full rock am ring concert!!
Descubrí está canción hace un par de semanas, y no puedo parar de escucharla
Johnny out here distracting everyones girlfriends. Shit, im lookin at him too. No homo.
You made me cry so much during this live show I wasn’t there but the passion you have... I also have a Personality Disorder and it really hits deep that you would sing this for your sister. Good job man. I’m so proud of you. You are my favorite singer out there.
This song is INTENSE. And Johnny can sing, sing. That hook is my repeat
the fact he said fuck these monitors and took em out cuase one wasnt working and kept performing no problems is what makes him stand out
That crowd is dead. This song absolutely slaps and needed way more energy to match it
I love how when Jonny sings "to finally see", he makes a gesture with his hands of his third eye opening. 👁️
Is the guitarist wearing a t shirt or a sleeveless one? No one will ever know
how have i not listened to this band more...? their performance is dope af o.o💯🔥🔥🔥❤✌
Cathy Jane Whisenant😘😗😙😚🇵🇱🇳🇱🇺🇸
This is Fucking Awesome 🤘🏻💪🏼♥️
Seth Rogan on drums?
This song really resonates with my own experiences. I've dealt with addiction throughout my childhood and adult life, and he touches the heart of the issue, especially the selfish and self destructive behavior. Anyone who has had to cope with an addict in their own family knows how hurtful their behavior can be.
I saw these guys 3 weeks ago in Tampa, they are amazing and they are only going to keep getting bigger. Awesome band.
I remember listening to you guys when you had 10k subscribers. Now you're playing in front of gargantuan audiences. I'm so proud
Greg the bass player is also the coolest dad at his kids soccer events
Yes! More proshot live shit! Love it!
Something about watching him sing is intimidating. Just me?
