Furious should have saved his money while in the Army and then he could have moved away from the dangerous neighborhood they were in. He should have taken advantage of the Mess Hall for all meals. Stayed on Base and studied in the Library when off duty. You can save alot when you have free rent, food and medical. When he got out a distance of 80-100 miles away form his crap for neighborhood would have benefited Trey.
That was an intense scene i liked it very much he put that officer in his place without cursing yelling or screaming at the officer he did it politely and professionally 😊

Great writing makes a specific story universal. My circumstances were different too (grew up in Ireland) but Boyz n da Hood is one of the most resonant coming of age stories I've ever watched!
