Wow! Just like the Apple Wood, you never disappoint in bringing out the natural beauty of every piece you make!
Wow, thank you so much! ✌️
That milky white resin is a refreshing change of pace. 90% of turners seem to choose blue. Good job!
Hi Todd, 555th like. I love that bowl, not least because I’ve just used some white resin to fill cracks in a piece of 350 year old oak beam which I turned into a vase. It’s so interesting to watch a craftsman at work and pick up a little of their talent. As always, thank you for sharing 🌞
Man, that glossy finish is beautiful! I'm always amazed at how great your finishes come out.
Thank you brother ✌️
That is one of the nicest pieces of applewood I’ve seen.
Very nice! Yeah, when I saw the piece at the start, I could tell that there was gonna be some crazy grain going all over the place. Shore 'nuff. Came out so nice!
🙂thank you!
Hello, it"s always a pleasure to see you and a stimulation to continue in woodturning
Thank you very much, and soo happy to hear that I can help to motivate! ✌️
What a beautiful bowl. Your choice of the white resin for this wood is brilliant. Gorgeous piece.
Thank you very much!
fantastic and I think the white pearl was the right choice
Thank you ✌️
I use Carbide tools all the time especially when I went with the negative Rake Square. Tools 🔧 I mainly make pens 🖊 but I also make bowls 🥣 I was having trouble with some of my pens blowing up and when I switched negative Rake Carbide cutters I haven't had any more problems since then. Oh again great job on your Bowl 🥣
Thank you, the carbide was nice to hog out the hollowing but it definitely needed finishing passes with a gouge and the lightest touch with a bowl scraper. 🙂✌️
Beautiful chunky apple wood bowl, Todd. 👍😊
Thank you so much 😊
Wow, wasn't sure about the white resin, but it turned out absolutely beautiful.
Thank you so much!
That’s a beauty! Love the black line between resin and wood. Awesome!
This turned out AWESOME. I like the color contrast of perl and the natural wood grain. The finish is superb. 🦋
Thanks so much!
Applewood, like Olivewood has an amazing grain. I really love your work. Beautiful, as always. 👌
Thank you very much!
Really nice, Todd. That grain is amazing. I see a couple of eyes staring out from the bottom inside of the bowl.
Bill
Thank you so much.
That's really beautiful, Todd! ❤the white resin!
Thanks so much!
Nice use of wood and resin. I am afraid I could never visit your shop since I am 6’6”. Like your lathe. Rikon sells good stuff. Keep the good vids coming.

Thank you so much 😀
Superbe comme toujours.... Bravo 💪💪💪
Snow White and Applewood bowl.
Really nice grain patterns in that piece. Personally I think some brown swirls in the pearl white would have taken it over the top.
Great suggestion!
Beautiful piece as always Todd!
Thank you 🙏
It’s absolutely stunning! Love it love it love it ❤
Thank you so much!!
Medium thick white!😮
I was stoked too when they came out with it! 😊
That is one beautiful bowl! Great work.
Thank you very much!
Great work man! Love using apple, I've never used pearl color with it but it turned out really cool. If ya happen to need another one of those snazzy face plates I know a guy.😂😂
Thank you my friend ✌️
Gorgeous piece! The resin really is the perfect choice!
Thank you so much!
Awesome as always bro, apple never fails with the grain.
Thank you 😊
Another beautiful piece
Thank you so much 😊
Looks amazing! As you said, the dark spots in the wood contrasting with the white looks awesome 😊 love it ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Another beautiful piece!!!
Thank you so much 😊
What a beauty! Noticed you used abrasive paste after the oil and not sure why the paste wasn’t first and the oil last. I’m new to turning and trying to learn. Thanks and I just subscribed. 😊
Thank you 🙏 The wood bowl finish is a drying oil, it’s recommended that you wet sand in between coats. I ended up using 3 coats, I leveled the finish with the ultra fine scotch brite (600g) and then polished it with the Yorkshire Grit (2000g +) 🙂
Wow what a cool piece!
Good looking bowl.
Thank you ✌️
Absolutely gorgeous ❤❤
Thank you! 😊
Todd that Apple wood bowl looks great really like the dark brown and mixed with the resin you chose for it couldn't be better especially like the black wood the way it all blends together . I always love what you can discover when you turn a piece of wood the creator knew what he was doing .Just really stunning . I wanted to ask you about your new lathe ,maybe in day or 2 on Instagram if you have a some time . Your friend Henry ,keep up the great work .
Thank you so much ✌️

Imma take a good long look at that chunk of applewood I’ve been hoarding. White resin…consider my thoughts provoked.
😏 send it 🙂
Just found your channel…it’s a subscribe from me…😃…beautiful work. Like how you put up what tool you are using, and that I can see what speed your lathe is going. TY.🙏
Awesome, thank you!
Nice job
Thank you ✌️
Awesome
Thank you so much!
how do you find all these amazing chunks of beauty? so jealous. keep making and creating.
Pennsylvania spoils me, we have so much beauty in the woods around us.
Didn’t think it would turn out that good. I liked the white epoxy, my wife didn’t, she said to much contrast in colour. Possibly red or blue a bit see through instead of solid.
Thanks for sharing.
Did you think about coring the bowl.
Thank you, I’m definitely more of a contrast kind of guy when it comes to design. A coring system is definitely on my list, I have many much larger burls that I won’t touch until I can fully process them.
Beautiful bowl!!! Question about the Yorkshire Grit usage. I thought it was supposed to be used before you put finish on it (other than a sanding sealer)? And then you would put your finish over the top of it. Maybe it's just an alternative usage of it. Just trying to learn as I just got my first can of it the other day.
Thank you, in this case I was just using it is a high grit polish. The wood bowl finish is a drying oil, when wiping or brushing drying oils, there can be some brush marks left behind, I cut it level with the ultra fine scotch brite and brought the luster back up with the YG kinda like polishing a clear coat on a vehicle. ✌️
Finish could be better 😝
Lol yea yea
What laser are you using?
It’s a Creality Falcon 2, there are links in the description. 😊✌️
Thank you
NICE LATHE. IS YOUR WIFE RICH ?
Worked hard and saved for awhile for that one 🙂
