    You are basically the only one using the Bluetooth amplifier board, which in my opinion is very solid. If you detailed every step with video, including making the battery and wiring, you would increase your following huge!

    I love how polite you are in the end of all of your videos lol. I never like videos but I liked this one because the request was so sincere.

      +Jett Pesson Thank you soo much! I was taught that it never hurts to ask. And I figure if I am gonna ask for something, I better ask nicely.

      lol well you did. I have a question; I know you made your own battery pack for this boom box, but for the last, what did you use? I'm thinking of building one of my own, and would like to buy a power bank to do so. I have made two tablets in the past, using power banks. However I am not sure how they will perform with speakers, or an amplifier, that pulls power much differently. I know that if I use a power bank, I will probably have to use a 5v to 12v converter from battery to amp. I am still unsure about using a power bank though. What would you suggest? Please include brand names, quality, longevity, etc. Thanks in advance!

      +Jett Pesson I would suggest using a 12vdc lithium ion battery pack that is used for applications such as CCTV and LED lighting. The one I used in my first build has 6Ah of capacity at 12vdc and 12Ah at 5vdc. Here is a link to it on Amazon for you to check out.

    NEAT! I was looking at building my own speakers this morning, stumbled on to your video of the original box, then looked at your channel, and now we're best friends! Wanna go in the garage and do karate?!
    Kidding on the karate part but I did enjoy this video. Well done.

    Awesome Build! I got 2 of those bluetooth amps, and trying to find a time to build one myself. All DIY BoomBox builders made me create my own(Looks Fun). Not much of a wood work pro, But I think I can handle the ups and down. Thanks for the tutorial.

    Awesome video and speaker, I give you mad respect for your level of of craftsmanship! I just have a question about battery life because I just built a speaker out of a 50 Cal. Ammo can and I used a 20lb 20,000MAh Battery and I'm wondering if I went way overkill lol. How long is the life with that smaller battery?

    With regards to the Lithium Ion batteries, I can get them from an old laptop no problem. Will I just wire them all together with a soldering iron and wires?

    My Pioneer A173CI's just arrived. I am wondering how did you find the right cabinet size? I was hoping to find the specifications in the manual... The hardest part being the abinet size should also change when using ports (wich I am planned on doing).

  • @briansonerson2926

    What about using particle board on the outside edges and a higher quality wood for the face plate. I think that would cut down cost. Also, I don't think that 45 degree cuts are necessary. The only cut that needs to precise would be done with a table saw.

    could you give me a tip on how to wire the charging pack? i'm on a similar project rn, but i don't really know how to connect the batteries and the charge protection board etc. could you maybe post a quick drawing to that ?

  • @ravenmooore
    @ravenmooore 8 лет назад

    Can I ask, why use 50W+50W amplifier to a 180W speaker? Will it cause damage? If your speaker rated more than amplifier? and if your amp has more watt in each channel? Will it damage as well?
    The amplifier works for speakers starting from 4 Ohms and above (it says on Amazon detail), your speakers are 2 Ohms. Is that fine?
    Awesome build by the way!

    • @sushigaming101
      @sushigaming101 8 лет назад

      Underpowering a speaker will not damage the speaker at all, although at very low power it may sound bad. Although if you have too much power, say a 200+ watt amp, you have a chance of breaking the drivers. The sound will be best when you match the ohms between the amp and the drivers; in this case you probably want to use speakers that are 4-8 ohms.

    how come you did not box in your speakers? I've seen other videos where they encase the speakers. is it because they are coaxial?

    • @sushigaming101
      @sushigaming101 8 лет назад

      It depends on the speakers recommendation and personal preference. Ported boxes give you a boomier sound in a smaller area, while reducing clarity.
